I just called the number that keeps dialing me -- 205-490-8798.  Recorded message says the number is not in service, please check the number and dial again.

Very annoying.  Probably some weird Nigerian scam and they have found a way to mirror the number of disconnected phones.  

I was called by this company 42 TIMES yesterday.  42 TIMES.  42 TIMES.

They had been calling incessantly several times a day so I put them on call block, so I don't hear it ring and they get
a message saying that we are unavailable.

So now, they are tying up my phone line all day long.  I might miss an important emergency call because of this
harassment.  Of course, when you call the number, it says it is not a valid number.

I hope my Congress person can do something about this.

This company was calling me non-stop many times a day so I put them on call block, where I don't hear it ring and it just tells them we are unavailable.

Their new strategy is to tie up my phone line now .... I was called 42 times yesterday.  42 times!!!!!!!!!!!
Other callers won't even be able to get through.

The b*****ds have called 26 times in 2 days.The last 4 times I told them I will drive 800 miles to fix their problem!

this number calls me 3-5/day.... and as with all the other posts, it hangs up on the answering machine or if I answer I get dead air.  I've called the number back numerous times and only get air, EXCEPT for this last time which appeared to be answered by a woman's voice, possibly and computer, but when I asked "is this a real person?", the response was, "I'm sorry, we cannot give out that information to our customers", CLICK [hangs up].  Unfortunately, my LAN phone doesn't have the blocked call option.  

I got a call from that number many times

Calls our office up to 20 times a day and never a person on the other end.

Update from my previous post.  I went to my mobile carriers website and BLOCKED this number.  This morning it was calling me again, 3 times so far today, with "+1" added to the beginning of the number to get around my block!  I've answered it most every time and have yet to have a human on the line.  Holding the line for about 30 to 45 seconds yields a quiet computer generated "good bye" then disconnection.  

They have called me twice today already, both times I answered in 2 rings and all I get is dead air, no one there.  I figured it was another telemarketer...  If they keep calling I'll block the number, hopefully this is the only number they use.  

How do I get these people to stop calling me? And WHY are they doing it?

Make these people leave me alone! Four calls a day, they never say a word. It's just silence for a few seconds, then a beep, then a robot who says "Good Bye."  Then Voila, a few hours later we do it all again. I don't understand the point!

I just happened to look at our call logs, and I realized that even though I spoke with her twice, Grace Miller actually called my office 5 times today.  At least they are persistent...

The person who called identified herself as Grace Miller.  She said that they wanted to enhance our marketing effectiveness through Yellow Pages advertising.  I told her that we aren't interested, and she said "You don't understand.  Your company already has this listing, and we want to verify your information so that your advertising is more effective."  I refused to confirm any information with her and asked her not to call again.  Six hours later, she called again.  I told her that she had been asked not to call this number, and she replied, "I'm sorry, but this is the first time I have spoken with you."  I told her that I had personally spoken to her this morning and asked her not to call back.  Then, she hung up.

Beeped then hung up on me.

TWO CALLS TODAY WITHIN 20 MINUTES; NO MESS. THE FIRST TIME SHE HAD TROUBLE HEARING ME THE SECOND TIME & SHE HUNG UP, AFTER SHE STATED WHO SHE WAS LOOKING FOR (MY NAME - MY CELL) ?

Calling almost daily.  No message left on answering machine and hangs up.

After receiving call after call from this company, I called the number back. It had a recording offering me an "exclusive offer that guaranteed me 15,000 people seeing my business information". I pressed 2 to be removed from their list.

Called 3 times so far today asking for the owner. The person I spoke to said the company is called Zoomas/Zoomus something like that...really not sure what they were saying, and that is all they would give me.

Calls every couple hours

As soon as the call is answered it hangs up.

i answered, lady asked to speak to the owner of this small company i work for.  Told her he is not here and asked who is wanting to speak to him, then she just hangs up.

it is a marketing call for your bussiness, they like several times a day

Same thing and it's getting frustrating
