I received several calls from these people all the time from different numbers one is (205) 747-1328 called at 8:45 at night
on 2-16-2014, others were (205) 423-6199  8:32 P.M.  2-11-2014 ,
                                          (205) 314-6011  8:25 P.M.  2- 9- 2014
                                          (205) 572-4698  7:27 P.M.  2-13-2014
I can't began to tell you how many others, those were in the same month. and we don't answer the calls either. but I wish their was something we could do.

Nope. Practically all of those police/fire fundraisers are fraudulent.

When they asked for me by last name, I responded, "who is calling" I got a very rude "never mind don't worry about it" and a hang up.  

The same thing happened to me . I received a call then they hung up. The call was from 205-313-0892. When you call back there is a recording stating that the call cannot be connected due to a special connection . Beware of this number.

Very rude. They hang up immediately when you won't donate.  You can not call the number back either.

I get calls from them several times a week at all hours - even weekends and have for a few weeks now. They never leave a message and when I do answer they hang up before I can get a hello out. They called earlier this year (before the onslaught of calls) and I talked to some guy who was very rude and I offered to pay the lowest amount, he got my address and then hung up on me. Got a commitment letter in the mail a few days later to send in the check and it went in my trash because of the rudeness. Now they won't stop calling. I can't block their number and I I don't know what else to do. I'm on the do-no-call list but it obviously does no good.....VERY frustrating....

Wow, I get these calls that I don't answer all the time but I just now decided to look it up. It's hard to believe these complaint emails go back to March 2009 and they are still operating the same way!

BEWARE!  Caller soliciting money for "Fallen Police Officers" but is NOT affiliated  with GA Police or GA State Police.  DO NOT COMMIT to sending any money.   Caller is very rude. That due to my own problems.... This rood person hangs up on me!!
I tried to call the number back and the call wouldn't go through.

I receive from 1 - 2 calls EVERY DAY from POAGEORGIA 205 917-5643 or 205-917-5678 and they hang up the phone when I answer.  When I call back a recording says, "We are sorry, you have dialed a number that cannot be reached by this special phone 2051".  

I want these calls to stop.

Stop calling AND WHEN I AM ASKED TO DONATE AND I KINDLY SAY, "I NO THANK YOU." DO NOT JUST HANG UP ON ME!!! SO RUDE

These calls may be from someone(s) trying to 'Run Up' a called number rate for reimbursement based on the total numbers called, but doubt it.

They are more likely something extremely deceitful and sinister. The call numbers received here vary and are usually scattered throughout the normal working hours (at first) for most working folks ... like trying to establish a time-line for a residence's occupancy. I am at home most of the time and have noticed an increased focus of their calls based on my habit of picking-up the phone while not normally here.

When you call them back, you help them out to that end once arriving home without such awareness. DON'T DO THAT!

The simple resolution is to mix it all up from now on, or just never answer when they call again. If you have tried to call back, there will be extra work involved as I have experienced.
