This is not a GA number.  It is Birmingham Alabama.  All you can do is block it, or as I do with most companies that have my number and shouldn't.  Report them to the BBB, the FTC, and the FCC.  All three.  It has stopped several callers that wouldn't leave me alone.

This phone call is constantly calling and hanging up when answered.  I am trying to block this phone number, but AT&T *60 does not work with this number.   You can call AT&T harassing call center at 888-966-6222 to open a case.  It is at least worth trying.

My wife got a call from this joker who knew her first and last name. He hung up after confirming her name. He called from (205) 572-4698. What a creep!

I am recieving calls from this number and when I answer they hang up!!!

A holes call and don't say anything . On the do not call list but they don't care. Keep it up and someone will find out who you are, I hope I'm the one.

Called at 8:45 P.M.  and I turned the answering machine on.   They would not leave a message.    In the past,  I have received numerous calls from these people.   They will never leave a message.

I do not know why you keep calling my house!!!!! I don't know what scam or con you're trying to pull! You can't be on the up and up!! you just hold the phone and never say anything. You have the balls to call my house everyday . Why not owned up to those big balls of your and state what you want .Any more calls ,I 'calling the FTC. You can bank on this !

i asked them who the seriff of the county where i lived is and he hung up,,, i hope they call me back. i am going to have some fun with them

This is definitely at scam!! They have a number from Alabama and asking for donations for Georgia Peace Officers Association.  I told them that if I chose to give, that I would give to my local Police department and the man got angry and told me that I should just give him the info.  I asked them to not call again and they keep calling. I just don't answer their calls. I am on the do not call list and this is very annoying.

SSDD.  Aggravating since I'm on the Do Not Call list. What do they get out of it, if they never get around to asking for a donation?

Dont know who these a$$holes are but if they keep calling me and hanging up i will find out who they are and theywill wish they had never called me by the time my lawyer gets done with them!

Received call from 205-572- 4698 on July 30, 2012. The caller, a middle aged souding man with cocky attitude, addressed me by my last name. When I confirmed my name, he claimed to be with the " Georgia Peace ( or Police) Officers Association". I mentioned that he would want to speak my father, the home resident. The caller yelled," so you lied!", and hung up on me. I tried to return the call to complain but could only get a recording that the number could not recieve calls. Beware of this number, it is a scam!

Call came from 205-277-4698, caller ID said "POA."  Man spoke to me by my last name and said he was with the "Georgia Peace Officer's Association."  Very friendly.  I asked him if he would hold on for just a moment and I put him on Mute.  He immediately hung up.  I believe this to be a scam to get credit card or checking account routing numbers.  Watch Out!  Police organizations DO NOT CALL YOU for money, which I know is what he was attempting to get.

Answered on second ring in time to hear call disconnected.  Third call from POA Georgia this week, all using different caller ID phone numbers. Probably political, but cannot get someone on the line to confirm.
