About 12:20pm I got this call from 2055887042 did no leave a message nothing please declaim this number and removed this number I don't answer my cell phone in public

When you get their name, look it up on the Internet and find out their address then send them a Cease & Desist letter (Samples are on the Internet too). They can only call you once more to tell you what they are going to do (but they usually don't). Then if they call you it is worth $1,000 so keep accurate records (- record phone calls, take pictures of Caller ID, and keep copies of letters).

I have downloaded a block app to my phone.  I just add the numbers to my block list by area code whenver they call.... sooooo if they want to continue to call me.. they will have to get more numbers to call from.  I can block any number with a punch of a button LOL

Every time I go to look up a random number on my phone, it's always them, and there's always people who say the collectors are rude, insulting and curse at them, along with not identifying themselves & refusing to cease calls even after they have been asked to stop.

Next time they call I'm going to answer and tell them to stop calling me. If they continue, it's on.

These people are relentless. They call multiple times per day from mulitple phones looking for my ex-husband's neice!!!  Good grief - I haven't seen the girl in 9-10 years, and even if I did know how to reach her, I certainly wouldn't tell someone on the phone who won't even identify themself where a distant former relative lives.

the person which is calling from this number is using profanities, insults and she is extremely rude : she does not give any infromation about the company whe represents.

One of Portfolio Recovery Services' (Norfolk, VA) ancient written-off debt-troll phone #s, this one in Birmingham/Bessemer, AL. Do not agree to give them any money, or that will start the statute of limitations all over again, and THEN they can actually sue you if the amount is worth their while. They never leave a message as a current debt collector would, so it's best to simply not talk to them. They have hundreds of individuals using hundreds of phone numbers to  harass you, so if they call more than once per day, collect the #s and report them to your state's Attorney General's office.

and record the standard "call cannot be completed as dialed" message as your voicemail greeting. The tones at the beginning will tell most computer dialers that your phone is disconnected automatically removing you from the list.

3 calls per day, different numbers each time. They never leave a message. I have no bad debt or negative items on my report. Blocking every one of these numbers

This company must be owned my a giant do***e bag. I also do not answer when they call. If they cant verify who you are f*ck 'em, the debt will taken off credit history in 7 years anyway.

i get calls from these numbers of portfolio all the time. the person above who posted all the numbers, ive gotten everyone of them. but 75% it starts to ring and they immediately hang up before i can even answer. and the times they do let it ring, they dont leave voicemail. yes i shouldnt lie but the times ive answered and they asked for me i tell them they have the wrong number. then they ask if i know them. i say no. they say do i know anyone who might know them. then i just hang up. they call between 9am-8pm

When these a***oles erroneously call me, I make sure that I have a person on the line.  Then, I blow my trusty refs whistle into the phone as loud & as long as I can until the a***ole hangs the f*ck up.  It is a very satisfying experience.  I suggest that we all do this.

A lawyer who deals in credit card abuse will sue on your behalf.   The rewards are not that great but you can expect an easy $ 1,000 plus legal fees paid by the company.  Its pretty simple stuff.  Check the web for such a lawyer.

I got a call from this number within eight hours of getting a home phone. I have no idea how they got the number and who they are tryinh to even call as they didn't leave a message!

just called my house and it said private number but also showed this number???? figured it was those a-holes again but wanted to check for sure. isnt it illegal to show private caller and not show who they are?? please let me know if you know the answer! THANKS!!!!!

i do not put anything in my name. i pay every thing cash. i got rid of my house phone. i only use a cell phone which i registered on the do not call list (https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx). do it online not from your phone, you do not know who you are calling if you get the text message. I use 2 email list from 2 companies (free yahoo & free aol). my personal email no one ever gets... no one but people i know. the other i use for things like amazone, redbox ect. this way i can access if i need to. I use 3  phone apps that cost no money. 1- list ever call (unknown, privot, 00). 2 & 3 are call blockers (what gets past one does not get past the other). I list every call that does get through in my phone list under the name "Bill N Crap". I add this name to my call block apps if it makes it through the first time. The 2 apps will auto hang up any call from one of these numbers and auto forwards to the do not call registry. if for some reason it makes it past my call blockers, i have the settings on my phone to auto hang up any number from Bill N Crap that gets through. i use to worry about calls, but now, my phone rarely rings at all. good luck...

They kept calling me every 2 minutes and I returned their calls. They said it was from one of the collection agency through my credit card company. They wanted me to pay in full through the phone and will report to my credit agencies to clear my name.
