Woman identified herself as "Carmen", began leaving a message stating she was from "LMI Legal", then abruptly stopped, pressed a key, and began again this time stating she was with "AFS Legal Services". Alternative number left to discuss a matter with a person who is not at the number they called - 954-746-8996 xt 778.

This number called me and left a message stating he was an agent calling about a case number and I must call back immediately. However he did not identify himself with any agency and he left a callback number with a different area code! This has scam all over it!

they called me today left a message all it said is debt collection agency. The only debt I have is a student loan, i've never had AT&T.

If I've ever had AT&T service it was so long ago I don't remember it - if this number is AT&T I don't know why the heck they are calling me. Will block the number but it's very strange.

This is a collection agency that AT&T uses to collect debt.
From what I have seen in other complaints against AT&T, they consistently say one thing and do the opposite and/or lie to their customers. For instance, AT&T never connected their service to my home, I don't have their equipment, and I have never used their service. Yet, they are trying to collect a debt from me for one year of service.
If there are many others with this type of complaint or charges in collection, perhaps we could "collectively" sue AT&T for poor business practices and lack of ethics. And any collection company as guilty through association to falsely collect illegal monies.

Same issue here with AT&T they said they wouldn't charge me an early disconnect fee but guess what...they are and I keep getting these calls too on my cell phone.

i owe ATT they say for crappy service on DSL the lady i talked to about their system not working for weeks told me to do it her way after i spent hours the night before to get it going to have it go out againt the next day i told her forget it shut it down and ill have the cable company out here tomorrow and thats what i did and ATT kept billing me so

They are a collection agency. They called me to collect a debt that I had not paid due to my husbands unemployment for months and months. Oh well. Stand in line. You have to live first. They messge they left me was nothing.... So yes, collection agency..

This numbers been calling me for a few weeks, but the few times I answered they hung up. When I don't answer they never leave a message. I haven't had a student loan, but glad that I found out that it's a collection agency. Maybe thats their way to trick you to call them back?

I've been getting phone calls from them for about 2 weeks now - never a message - they just hang up. Reverse phone directory shows it's an unlisted number. I never had a student loan, so I don't know why they would be calling me. It's just the annoyance factor - leave a freakin' message!

Wow! They called me at almost 9pm, now I'm not one to run from student loans, so I've been trying to settle the matter, but I can never get through. This is annoying! They give no name, leave no message, and rude as hell when I returned the call!

Anyone getting calls from this number? I didn't pick up since I didn't recognize the number, but I have called back, but they wont reveal the company name, but continue to ask who I am. I guess the caller became annoyed by their tone and hung up. There was no message left. Does anyone know who this is? Did you get a call from the same number?
