Have been getting calls from this number for a couple days now, I answered the firsttim not seeing my caller id first.  Got some foreign guy that I could barely understand, told him not to call and hung up.  Now I get called every morning around the same time.  When I called the number back I get a disconnected number notification that hangs up on me.  Seems to me like some international scammer is spoofing their number to look American!  My advice to everyone is not to breathe a word back to these loons and HANG UP!

they call from 7:00 to 7:40 about 10times

I recently opened a new checking account and, very soon after, started receiving calls from this number.  Looking it up here and finding previous posts stating that people on the other end of this line had access to their account and routing numbers is seems somewhat shady, at the very least. Trying to put 2 and 2 together...does anyone else here bank with Fifth Third?

Have got several calls from this number or one similar.  The first two were automated, the last two were a man with an Indian accent.  The first time I told them to never call again, he hung up.  This time I asked for a manager and got someone else with an Indian accent (or hell, maybe the same person).  Told him to stop calling, he told me I was "wasting his time, and hang up, go, go!".  Then he hung up.

I don't even answer for them anymore and wish they would stop calling me.

I got so many calls 4rm them, then finally decided to use a prepaid debit card, 4 the 2.95. An i received my grocery vocher, my 25 dollar restruant certificate 2. But, they sent me 2 trial discount cards also. And if i LIKED them i kept them, if not, i CANCELD THEM. That was the only catch.

Left message and hung up...but I think they called me before about gift cards

i keep getting calls from this number 205-786-5216.  when i call it back n/a, who ever u are u need to stop or will it take a bullet when i find ya?

Just received 2 calls from this number, a man named michael (with an Indian or Pakistani accent) tried to sell me something each time. Scam!!!!!

That disconnected prompt your getting is just a recording of a real
disconnected number and they have it set up on a computer, answering
machine, or voicemail to pickup on the first call and that prompt is played
from a disconnected line from an old Alabama number someone had. You
know you can get those prank caller ID software or do it on a website and change
your caller ID number to whatever you want it to show up on the other end of
the person your calling. I did this same trick to get rid of the same kind of call
from this same number. I just used their own trick on them and they stopped
calling. They called back 2 times in a row as if they thought they may have dialed
my number wrong. I thought up this trick on my own. I used to prank friends years
ago and get rid of bill collectors this way years ago too. So there you have it folks,
that's how these scammers do this when you call back. THIS IS THE TRUTH!

received call while at work so didn't answer call

I got a similar call but sounded like a recording of a ladies voice saying I won the 500 dollar card. Once I heard that I hung up & never tked to anyone knowing immediately it was a scam. Now I keep getting cals like every other day & I don't answer & once my phone goes to voice-mail it just hangs up.  Advice to whomever sees this you never have to pay a penny if you WIN something. So never pay shipping & handling.

This number (205) 786 5216 called today and gave me some crap that i had won a gift card, sounds like a big scam to me and the guy sounded like he was from India, beware dont give them any info.

They called me this am @ 9:23.  No message.  I hate these guys.  there really oughta be a law.

I've gotten this call several times today. The first few times, no one said anything. The last time I answered, It was a dude with a heavy middle eastern accent telling me I won a shopping spree. Definite scam.

This number called me like 5 times in a row. It was an Asian man, I have no idea what he was trying to say because it was barely English.

Forgot to add, that it is coming from an automated dialer just with a dialing list of numbers.  Hence the reason if you answer and never say anything the line will go dead.  If you make a noise the dialer senses a response and then connects the call to an individual.  Some dialer system are smart enough to interpret  a voice mail response from a real individual.  That is the reason why you may of received voice mails from other systems with the individual on the other end saying, "hello".  The dialer heard your voice mail response and thought it was an individual talking, transferred the call, and by the time the person received the transfer your voice was recording.  So they say, "hello" to see if an individual is on the line.

Here is the sad kicker.  Once your voice mail or yourself picked up, your number got flagged as an active number in the database, so it will continue to get phone calls.  That database with active and working phone numbers will get sold and distributed around to anyone who wants to buy it and you will receive more and more calls.  And being most of these calls are originating from outside the US, there is very little that you can do about it, but block the calls with a piece of software.

It is not the individual Christopher Billups.  The number you are seeing is a spoofed Caller ID number.  The actual number is coming from a foreign county, didn't stay on long enough to actual trace the call back.  It is the nice wonders with the invention of VoIP, you can be sitting anywhere, and register to a phone system sitting else where and it looks like you are somewhere else all together.  Ever wonder how magic jack works, while you are sitting at your house but yet sending and receiving telephone calls from an exchange no where near where you are located.

Sadly until some TELCO can get a trace on the call you will not know where it is exactly coming from.  Only suggestion is if you have a Smart phone (i.e. Windows mobile, IPhone, Android) get you a piece of software that does call blocking.  When it sees the number come in it does not ring the phone. and drops the call.

This number has called me three times today,  I work nights, maybe I should call them at 0300

couldn't understand one word he said - I told him not to call here again and hung up.  I expect the person will call again, but from now on I'm going to pay attention to the number and won't pick it up.

It's obvious that this thickly accented person is pestering  quite a few people and yet even tho we
post these messages it continues on and on and on.  So why even leave these messages when no one acts to put an end to his pain in the neck calls?

No message. Answered and it gave me a you won a free gift card to your favorite store. A guy picked up.. and asked Hello? I said Hello. And then he hung up. :p

this #keeps calling me and had taking money from my account

This number is a BIG scam... yes the guy they think they are untouchable, if you get this call, get as much information as you can, his name, a company mailing address, a return phone number.. they'll give it to you because they want to seem legit, of course its all fake, but you can report this information to your local FBI office http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/fraud and the FTC @ http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/phonefraud/index.shtml. Also you can report it here.. http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/reporting.php. They take this seriously and are always working to stop this!!!

Recieved call from this number, no message. Called it back to find out what is going on message number was disconnected. Don't think it can be disconnected within 3 hrs after initial call.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS # AT 5:30PM PST ON DECEMBER 1ST 2011,AFTER SAYING HELLO AT LEAST A COUPLE OF TIMES THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END ASKED HOW I WAS DOING AND I TOLD HIM I WAS ALRIGHT.HE THEN TOLD ME THIS NUMBER (MY PHONE#) HAD WON A VOUCHER FOR $500 I IMMEDIATELY TOLD HIM I WAS NOT INTERESTED AND HE HUNG UP.I WAITED AWHILE AND TRIED TO CALL IT BACK AND GOT A MESSAGE SAYING IT HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED.

These people only call you repeatedly if you answered on the first time.

This is exactly what happened to me. I called it back & it says the number is disconnected. I answered and yelled at the guy (who said his name was Randy, he had a thick Indian accent) and told him that i was on the do not call list and he kept talking over me and telling me he had a special offer for me. I reported this number to the National Do Not Call Registry. Hopefully the calls will stop.

WHO EVER GETS A CALL FROM THAT NUMBER SHOULD TELL THEM TO GET F****D ITS A SCAM GIVE IT TO THERE MAMA
