I just received a call from a blind number.  They said I qualified for a Government Grant.  They had my name and address and advised me that the I qualified for a $7000 Grant that I would not have to pay back.  All I had to do was to call the supervisor Ryan Walter at 206-201-2529 and supply him with the Grant Application number that the caller supplied me.  I did not call the number back and I immediately looked up the phone number on the internet which is how I found this site.

I will be contacting the FBI next to report this incident.  I suggest others do the same.

I received a call from a number that read unavailable on my caller ID. At first, I started not to answer the call, but then thought it might be important. Normally I jot down the name of the people I speak with during the run of a day just in case I end up needing this information later. The first sound of the voice on the other end of my phone was giving me indication that what I was about to hear was "SCAM", but I listened anyway. I was very quick with my responses and was giving off an energy to the caller that indicated that I really wasn't buying what he was trying to sell me. To make a long story short, I was basically told that I was chosen to receive a $7000 grant from the government that I did not have to pay back. Since he could sense I wasn't buying it, he answered my question before I could ask it. I was wondering how was I drawn to receive a grant I did not apply for. He tells me that the government awards citizens who pay their taxes on time and etc. However, I noticed a lot of his information he supposedly had on me was wrong. So I asked him if he had to right person. He said yes. Then I asked him what was my last name and he correctly told me my last name. He tells me that the money will be delivered right to my door. All he needed was my correct address. Of course I was not going to give him my home address, so I gave him my PO BOX address. He said he needed my home address because the money has to come directly to my doorstep. I asked if they accepted PO BOXES as an address. His reply was yes but he still wanted my home address. I would not give it to him so he accepted the PO BOX and then told me that I would have to call Ryan Walter at the number 206-201-2529. I asked why I had to call him and he said because this guy is the only one who can release my grant money to me. If I did not call Ryan after I ended the call with him, I would not receive my money. He kept insisting that I call right after I got off the phone with him and if Ryan was "busy" when I called, to call again.  This isn't the first time I've gotten a call like this so of course I did not call the number he gave me. If the guy who paid a total of $700 really did get his money as promised, then good. Honestly, I don't believe he did because what grant office ask you to transfer money by a green dot card? SERIOUSLY!!!! This is a complete SCAM! Please use wisdom people.

Now, let me get a complete understanding of what you are saying. Toby Watson was not the person who called you. The grant office called you directly and informed you that you was entitled to $7000 of non-repayable grant money. However, in order to receive this $7000 in grant money you do not have to pay back, you will have to pay $200 up front (buy a money pak from local Wal-mart, Walgreens, CVS, etc.). FOR WHAT? What was the reason you "transferred $200? Then you said you received a call back from the grant office, in which you was told to call the bank and speak with Toby Watson. Where you not able to speak with Mr. Watson during your call or where  you told he would give you a call back? I am wondering because you said you called and he called you back informing you that you now had to pay $500 more of your own money for taxes because the "IRS" wanted their part. Next, you said you paid the money and within 30 minutes you had your money. What was the $200 for you paid and why were you responsible for paying taxes on money you have not received yet? The IRS is known for taking their money before you even get yours or in other cases, you are responsible for paying taxes off your winnings once you've received the money. You can't pay taxes on money you have not received. That makes no sense.

they didn't call me the grant office called me said I had a none repayable grant for 7000 but I would have to transfer 200 via money pak. I did, then want he called me back after around a hour. gave me this number to call to talk to the bank directly I did. the bank guy , toby Watson, called me back told me that the amount of 7200 was held dew to the IRS wanting their part of it. said I would have to pay 500 for taxes, I paid it, within 30 minutes, I had my money. so yes it is scary. don't post if u don't know what your saying.
