I received the message to call Wells Fargo. Not sure why because I don't even bank with Wells Fargo. Tried to call the number from work phone, which is a Government Agency and call would not go through. Thought message was a scam, so that is why I called from work and not cell phone.

Got also a sms from "Wells Fargo" asking me to call this number. No reason, though. Checked my accounts online and everything seems ok. Didn't ever tried to call.

i got a text message as well from Wells Fargo
'Due to fruad activity my card has been deactivated (they actually mentioned the first 6 digit of my card).'
i called Wells Fargo and they haven't heard a thing.
if you get this message please call ells Fargo to let them know.

Have you heard a cheaper attempt to fraud folks out of their money? Their automated server voice technology is a throwback from the early 90's. Yes, let me input my account information into your system based on a text message from a free text messaging service.
Obviously not from Wells Fargo as the text indicated.

Got a text message saying Your account is now limited, please call this number. I didn't call them back. According to other people, they ask for CC number when you call them.
