Got the exact same email, but he went by the name Jordan Gibson. Left a message on the phone and he wrote:

I got your message [my name] but so unfortunately that i left town for a family re-union party but i have access to the internet all the way till i get back and i can assure you 100% smooth transaction. Let us do this and i can assure you that i will call you before we finish the transaction. I will await your response.
Jordan.

Total scammer.

This sounds very familiar.  Did it come from Jack Williams, sqaudsniperz50@yahoo.com

Here is what these scammers do:

Wow, this just happened to me as well. Wanted to mail me a check for an item i have listed on craigs list and asked for a bunch of personal information.
Something is not right

The same thing happened to me today. He wants a bunch of personal information for where to send the money for an item I have listed on Craigslist. I'm not sure what his angle is, but I'm not comfortable going any further with this. I would caution you all to do the same. Deal locally and don't get burned.

Wow, I just thought I'd check this number, 206-309-4646 to find out where it was from because he wanted to purchase an item I had on Craigslist.  Is this guy for real or should I be concerned?

They also sent me a fishy email over craigslist. wanting to send a check in the mail.

This person emailed me too. It is also from Craigslist. He wants to send payment via UPS. I think its kinda strange.... I think I will call it.

This person has e-mailed me on craigslist about a listing that I posted.  It just seems fishy.  I would like to know if this is a legit phone number or not.
