Received text to call immediately. I called and it says my account was deactivated and to reactivate press this this and that....some kind of scam just dont know who it is

Scam in Austin, TX ALERT!
Velocity Credit Union impersonated in a Text and Phone Scam:
Velocity Credit Union officials have been made aware of a text scam and a phone scam involving both our members and non-members.
We understand that an automated phone call and/or text messages are being received informing individuals that their debit card has been deactiviated or their account has been closed and to email or call the number provided.
This is a scam. Do not reveal any member information to these numbers.

I used a reverse phone numnber look up page and got the phone career and reported the issue to them also . see if that does any good .

I just got the same text, 9 times within 30 mins, from "info@antbx.com" saying to call 253.802.0126.

The guy has a new number he is using. If they want you to call this number don't do it. The new number is 253-802-0126. I called the number for fun. Of course there is no human voice only electronic. I just started punching numbers in and is recognized I was not putting in the right string. Just don't do anything with this but delete the message. I have already reported it to the FCC, which I am sure nothing will be done.
I am just glad for sites like this that allow us to find out for ourselves.

Your bank will not notify you like this. They would not want you account number either. When you give them you pin, your account will be sacked.

Two texts saying the same thing as what the others have said except mine says "service@antbx.com" but the number is still the same as above. SCAM!

I have gotten 2 texts tonight...Call us at 1.206.309.5979 immediately.....The last one was after 10pm. I know telemarkers cannot call after 9pm what about this kind of nonsense? Who do we report this to?

Just got the same call and message sent to my phone. Received a message saying call velocityfcu immediately. We called and just played with the numbers and obviously its a scam.

Got a text message claiming to be from service@velocityfcu.com asking me to call them immediately.
Knowing a phishing scam when I hear/see one, I called and played with them for an hour or so, entering 123 patterns and alternating between correct and incorrect, 3 corrects and they disconnect when the machine figures out the number does not exist. Nothing else to do tonight.
