My phone was blowing up at lunch with these numbers 206-313-0023 and 206-313-0026.  I contacted T-mobile's customer service and told them I want to block this number.  I'm a pay as you go customer so they said they can just block ALL messages.  I explained that I only want that number blocked and said they can't but that I COULD change my number??? I said no and he said T-Mobile is not charging me for these text messages from this number so I asked "are these number from Tmobile?", he said no, they are advertising companies  but youre not bieng charged for them and if I have problems I can contact them again.  And since I didnt want my number changed I left it as that since I'm not bieng charged, but they really need to change that, I think we should be allowed to block who we want, we are paying them for what THEY want to do

I received a message from this number but my phone read that it could not fetch content.
I've received four consecutive calls, it's annoying not knowing from whom they come from!

I have received several of these calls, and I am not sure how to stop them.  I will call Tmobile today.  Since it does not display, what the point in sending them,
maybe its time for a formal investigation by the FCC.  Seems to me Tmobile should head off an investigating to stop this attack against it customers, what if a million customer a day get this same text message, that could add up to millions of dollars, over the course of a year. Does anyone know how to start an investigation with the FCC? Seems all these text seem to be scams, shouldn't Tmobile give everyone who has ever had one of these text messages credit, I am sure the can run a number search in their database to determine who received these unauthorized text message.

This number traces back to a T-mobile client in the state of Washington.  T-mobile claims to know nothing about it.

2010, 2 years later, and Tmobile still doesn't have the means to block individual spammers, including 2063130026 that has spammed me repeatedly in the last two days.  Tmobile reversed the charges and were nice about it, but I'm going with a different provider who can give a single number blocking service.

I am also a T-Mobile subscriber in Seattle who rarely uses text messaging.  Billed for many from 206-313-0023 and 404-455-0007 but received no messages.  Called customer service and had to raise a stink but got them to credit the account and block ALL text messages in the future.  Now, I cannot even get legitimate text messages.  If I wanted to block out only messages from those numbers, then I would have to pay $2/month!  They said the 206-313-0023 number is a T-mobile customer service number and insisted that they forwarded messages to my phone.  Very poor service and a very sneaky way for T-Mobile to rake in a few extra bucks from their customers.

An update to my above post...

I made a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General. I just got a call from someone at T-Mobile who wasn't aware of what was going on, but listened to me and was willing to remove the charges.

From the more recent responses here, it sounds like they are more aware of the problem now...

This is BS..  you would think by today.. 11/7, they would know, or at least admit to knowing about this issue.  After talking to 3 reps, and forwarded to the manager, they finally admitted to knowing about it and credited my bill.  Before that they offered to:

1) cancel all text messages
2) add a text plan to my bill, of course, not free

If this happens to you, demand to speak to a manager, tell them it's a known issue, and demand the credit.

I'm actually disappointed that this is still an issue for so many customers. T-Mobile always talks about striving to deliver the best possible customer service. If policy was followed, things would definitely run much smoother all around. Unfortunately there are definitely representatives who feel that these policies don't apply. We have one specific policy regarding a T-Mobile internal website, StreamLine which we are supposed to read every day (time is allotted in our schedule for this).

For those who are still having problems with representatives who are unaware of this issue, TELL THEM TO LOOK IN STREAMLINE. Referencing "StreamLine" will get the representative's attention as it is only available to T-Mobile employees (it is strictly internally accessible). TELL THEM "IT IS A CURRENT BILLING ISSUE REGARDING USAGE." Also reference the exact title: "Duplicate SMSs from the Numbers 206-313-0026 and 404-455-0007 (10/29)" Using this path, the representative should be able to find the article in our knowledge base directly and without further hassle to you.

Although I have not taken any calls regarding this issue, I do sincerely apologize for those affected. As I said before, I know how I would feel if the issue was affecting me. This is why I'm now trying to make sure that no one else gets the run-around with this.

Some representatives won't know about this issue if they haven't specifically read this article. Hopefully using this you will be able to direct the representative where they need to go to find the relevant information. Again, I apologize for those affected as well as those who have been unable to get the issue resolved.

Best wishes once more,

Michael R.

Thank You Michael R.

I called T-Mobile cust. service twice today. They took care my sms charges after I found your comment and mentioned about the "Streamline", which is I should've done it before I talked to the first representative.

And he said this problem has been fixed.

Just got off the phone with T Mobile, and even though I gave them all the information regarding Streamline (thanks!) they still said it was a roaming issue.  They refused to credit me for the charges.  I have now blocked all text messages.  No more money for them.

I just got my bill last week. All of the mysterious text charges were deleted. I had no extra charges, other than the texts that I actually sent and received. I also have 100 bonus minutes in my account and 3 free ringtones, which is kind of funny. Someone must have thrown those in because they realized the error. I still have blocked messages and will consider unblocking after all of this is over for sure.

I had the same bogus text charges from 206-313-0023 on the bill I received today.  The representative did not know what I was talking about.  I referred her to the Streamline article.  (Thank you very much, Michael R.)  She was very nice, but the explanation she gave me, about these messages being duplicates from using another carrier's towers when texting, made no sense to me.  I don't send or receive text messages very often and I got these bogus charges on days when I didn't send or get any messages from anyone else.  She said the charges were valid.  I asked for a manager, who said it was a known issue and reversed the charges immediately.  With all the time on hold, this took me half an hour to resolve.  Good grief - why do the representatives still resist fixing this problem?

I just spotted 23 text messages on my last T-mobile bill from 206-313-0023.  I recall a few incoming text messages that were unwelcomed, but it certainly didn't amount to 23 all coming from 206-313-0023.  Clearly some kind of overbilling is occuring. T-mobile said it wasn't any error on their part as I likely signed up for a service on the web that is sending advertisements or what not.  Nevertheless, they credited 100% of the text messages on my first call.  They were very nice about it saying they would give me a courtesy credit as noted I was a long-term customer with an excellent history.  I don't know what kind of demon service is out there texting, but I have resolved the problem by disabling all texting.

Just got my T-Mobile bill.  Had 23 of these (21 for me, 2 for my wife).  All "incoming" - both numbers listed in other posts above.

Imagine my shock when Michelle, the T-Mobile customer service person, told me she "wasn't able" to credit me for the $0.20/msg charges - but she'd split it and T-Mobile would take care of half!  So T-Mobile was willing to call me a liar for just over $2!  I even told them, quite seriously, that if they didn't do this I was moving to AT&T right NOW - and still got the "ok we'll take care of half" suggestion.

We also hadn't actually received any text messages on our phone.  It's a pretty easy matter to look at our bill and see that we've been loyal T-Mobile customers for quite a few years now - and we don't call up customer service every month looking for a handout.

I also mentioned to her that this was all over the internet.  She went and "researched" the problem but came up with zero and had "never heard of it".  Then I started reading posts (to her) that I found on Google, and told her that I needed to talk to her manager.

Finally she went and "researched" the problem a bit more, and said that she had to look up this problem by "the Seattle market" and then found it.

She was completely unpleasant, and ended the call tersely.

It is amazing how angry I feel after boasting about how good T-Mobile customer service was - for years.  By the way, I'm a corporate customer and have a very expensive phone.  It's not like we've got texting kids in the house or the like.

Needless to say, I disabled text messages permanently, something I should have done a long time ago at $0.20 per message.

Alienating a loyal customer for $2.  Priceless.

I have two phones with T-Mobile and one of them is receiving the text messages from 206-313-0023. We see the messages and can't stop them. I called and no one answers. I called T-Mobile and they said its probably a text message number thats why no one picks up.
I also got a bill for 2 more text messages on my other number and the "Destination" was from 3695 & 3564. I never received any text from these numbers, but was billed. The tech from T-Mobile explained that it is from the internet on the account. Well I don't have internet... she said that everyone has a basic email that most people don't know about. I have to go onto the T-Mobile website and look at my inbox and filter out those emails. She said a lot of people get them, because it pretty much like spam email but now on our phones. I think somehow, someone got a hold of T-Mobiles numbers and sold them to these companys like "MusicforLife."
So if you have these problems call T-Mobile and have the person direct you to at tech and they can block the text messages and the emails. The first person you talk to will try to sell you a $2.00 charge, a month, to block whatever numbers you like or to just block every text message. Just try to get through that and talk to a tech who can really help you.
The tech told me if I still get the text messages.... to reply to the text and say "STOP" or "QUIT" She said its a basic number that most places have to take you off their mailing list.
I had this happen to me at Cingular a couple years ago and I replyed with "STOP" and they stopped sending messages, but on the message itself, it said to text back stop if I didn't want the texts anymore.
SO I would try that and call T-Mobile...till someone there helps. There are a lot of reps. that work for them, so just keep calling back till you get a good person to deal with.
Hope it helps!!!

I just got off the phone with TMobile about this very thing.  Weird!  We also have an Atlanta no. 404-455-0007 on our bill.  I thought someone was texting my kids from there and was about to confront them........this sounds like a SPAM thing through text, although you don't see the text on the phone, just the bill.  If you don't have unlimited texting, obviously this is eating into your limits.  Call Tmobile and report it.  They are aware of the issue.  Any other nos. please report them too!

I had seven of these on my bill from T-Mobile. I called and they took the charges off my bill, they also put a ticket in for it. My texts messages were from 10/9/08, 10/10/08, 10/11/08 and 10/13/08. T-Moblie will block text messages.

Add my name to the list of complainers. I just received my billing from T-Mobile and have 4 "incoming" messages from 2063130023.
Now, Let me also state that there are the ONLY text messages I have on BOTH lines! We do not text message (but like the option to do so if we choose).
I will not be held hostage to a $4.95 "plan" though. After reading all the other comments, this looks like an attempt by T-Mobile to "encourage" it's users to cough up another $4.95 per month.

It's high time we set in motion legislation that bills only the sender.
Charge me for an unsolicited incoming? BUll! Like voice phone calls, A text message sent, but unpaid for should be required to have attached to it a PRE-TEXT warning stating something like "A text has been received that wants the charges REVERSED, by pressing "1" you agree to accept the charges..."
T MOBILE be forwarned - YOu either self police or I will pull a Tim Eyman on you and I can darned well bet the Washington people will be behind me 100%.
