Just got a call from this number; they didn't leave a message. If they're from Windows Technical Support, shouldn't they know I'm a MAC user, and wouldn't use a anything from Microsoft for any reason whatsoever? lol

I got a call from this number and the perseon said that he was calling from windows and i said ya wats wrong. he said that we happen to see that there is a problem in your computer. I was like wat kind of problem then he told me to turn on my computer and showed me this crap on the computer and said that your computer was hacked and all your personal iteams are being posted on the internet.he kept saying not to worry and then logged onto my computer making this bull* up and at the time every thing sounded so real but after when he took the money to install avg anti virus for 7 years i got a conformation number sent to my email. since he was on the computer he saw my emails n sent the email to delete. after he had got the payment he logged of and then didnt do sht. so i went onto my email and checked my deleted file and found the email i saw the address was from India thats when i thought it was a fraud.
IF YOU FALL FOR THIS AND DO PAY GO ST8 TO THE BANK AND CANCEL THE TRANSACTION AND CHANGE YOU CREDIT CARD NUMBER!

Someone named Andrew from microsoft called and said are computer has sent tons of error reports and they needed to acces our computer but we said we would call back and this is the number he gave us

these people provide the service then what if they are scammers? i just want my com to be in good condition that's it. they have provided me a real good service and my com is running faster than ever.

IF ANYONE CALLS FROM MICROSOFT/WINDOWS, ASK THEM FOR THE CLS ID CODE. IF THEY CAN, IT'S OK, ELSE HANGUP THE PHONE AND CALL THE POLICE.

got a call from this number. they came in my com, checked it, fixed it, but did not ask for any money. said my software was not expired. they also provided me an antivirus absolutely for free. even if they are scammers i would say they are providing great service. and if i wanna deal with someone, it would be these guys only.

received a call from the windows online service department. i first beleived it ws a scam and wantd to hangup, bt the guy on the other end stopped me.he showed me the error reports via the management box and also upgraded my com. and i am really happy with their service.

many people posted  here that the callers didnt told that they were from microsoft..bt i wana ask them that do they know that microsoft and windows are together???if the answer is yes then why the hell need say its microsoft..why??neways my experience is not bad with them just like Vida..they gave me services..and the anti virus as they promised..

no this is absolutely b***s***  u people are talking here they called me and they came in my computer and fixed all the problems and they even provided me an avg antivirus for 7 long years so how could you say this is a scam even rbc said that they r genuine one

Same details as most other people. I even spoke to a "Supervisor".... I checked back with my IT support and here's what they said:

You have to think of things like this ...

- do you know anyone else who has ever been called by Microsoft with the offer of support? I don?t...
- how do you suppose they know you downloaded some 'bad' files - even Microsoft doesn't know this.

Something you can always do, is google a phone number....you'd be surprised how much information you can get from google on this sort of thing...

This is not legit ...do not allow ANYONE access to your computer, especially your work computer, unless it comes from our IT Dept.

My experience is a bit of a twist.  Received a long distance call saying that I had errors on my PC, and that they received notification from me of this fact.  Got me to call up the event biewer to see errors & warnings, but not to click on any, and asked if I had anti-virus software.  Fortunately, mydaughter was suspicious and proceeded to do a shut down of my computer. I told the caller that my daughter needed the phone, so Iaskedfor a number to call back. I got this number, and was advised to ask for Justin, but to call back asap.  I have not called back now that I have seen the comments on this page.

ohh.. if your computer has viruses or it facing any kinda a problem then it is better to take specialists advice then to try different methods by yourself...

My wife and I have both received a call over the span of a week or 10 days similar to those listed above but from a Mr. Roger Smith. We did a trace on the number but did not attempt to connect with Mr. Smith.

Same deal I asked if I could record the conversation in case there might be some info that I might of missed. The conversation didn't last much past that point. Oh and it was a Mr. Roger Booke who called.

Caller claims to be from Windows Technical Support to help me with a problem on my computer. Caller knew my phone number and name. Claimed that if I did not accept his help "Windows" would not be able to help me again in the future. Never used the word Microsoft but tried to act as though "Windows" was something separate from Microsoft. Contacted Microsoft to report the scam and they are well aware of it and have information available to customers regarding fraudulent calling or contacting of customers. Microsoft would never make an unsolicited call to customers regarding technical support.

I also got a call fromn this number and was told the same thing. i was skeptical so I aske dfor his number so I could call him back becasue it showed up as private name and number on my phone. I then called the Microsoft Windows Technical support and they did tell me I have a virus on my computer but they want money. Any way warning don't talk to this number!
