Call came in on my mobile line.  Tried calling back today, got "The mailbox for Harry Helwig is full."  (Or something like that, someone reading out a name in the middle of the automated message."  Has called before, never leaves a message.  Oh, and yeah, both mobile and land lines are all registered with DNC Registry.  For all the good that's done.

I find some of the remarks posted about these ?faux telemarketer calls? amusing.  I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these annoyance calls since 2012.  Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they?ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ?robocalls?) ? once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ?block? the number that called ? that is the best action.  If you don?t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ?talk? and ?off? simultaneously.  If you really want to block them ? there is reasonably priced software that a layman can install.  Of the 380 calls I?ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months.  So the message is simple ? blocking works?.

This phone number called our home# on 5/20 6pm. est. w/o message. This number is one of many calls from different U.S. states and it seems that my number is out there on the INTERNET on some database.

It's not DC...That's 202 area code.

Just got a call from this number, came up as wireless caller, I answered it and waited in 13 seconds of silence before I hung up. Called it back and got a busy sound... weird.

Caller hung up as soon as I answered.  If they want to scam me, why not stay on the line long enough to let me screw with them too?

The DNC list only works for law-abiding businesses - and scammers and spammers are not known for obeying the law.

Got this call on my cell phone an hour ago while on vacation in China.  No message left on my voicemail.  I actually have friends in the Seattle area but didn't answer it because I was afraid of overseas charges.  After Googling the phone number I soon found this helpful forum.  Now I'm really glad that I just let it ring.  It was 5:30 a.m. here in China anyway.  

Also got a call from this number at 5:49 - 5/20.  I do not answer calls of this type.
We all should know by now that these calls are scams, especially if they are uninterested in leaving a message.
Don't even bother wasting your time calling back.

Got a call from this # today - no message. I called back - rings once then goes to busy signal.

Just got a call from this number 206-348-4271.  I did not recognize it and so did not answer. They did not leave me a message.  I tried to call it back and just got a busy ringing . They have it fixed so cant call them.

Ah, the old "You have won a free cruise" scam if you answer a few "survey" questions.  The sole purpose of the "survey" is to see if you qualify to attend their high pressure sales seminar for their travel club at a local hotel or motel.  Then you find out the "free cruise" has all sorts of taxes and fees associated with it and you are responsible to getting to the port of call and back home.

I have a contact on my phone called Blocked, so I just put these numbers in that contact, and change the ringtone to silent.  Should be interesting to see how many numbers one contact can hold . . .

They called, left no message. Thanks to those who answer, letting us all know that it's a scam (or not). Just another saved "scam" number in my contact list ('course, they almost never call again from the same number, but if they do, I'll see that it's "Scam I Didn't Answr" calling.

had a call from this number did not answer. Perhaps our Government could direct NSA to block these fools nothing else seems to work.
