I called the number back.  It still did not identify themselves but I was able to get my number off their call list.  It was all automated.

I am on the do not call list. The operator stated the call was from the Yellow Pages and they were doing "service verification". I said "I'm not interested". The response was silence so I hung up. I guess they weren't expecting that. If it was really YP, wouldn't they at least be calling from an 800 #?

I get phone calls everyday from this number   sick and tired of it

I just called the number and it asked me to put my number in to have it removed from theri call list, then confirm the number. I hope it works

I go t a call and they are using the premise of a survey to get around the do not call list.  They asked me the question about the Yellow Pages and they offered a free month of the Miami Herald.  I see a trend of using the survey question and then offering a free newspaper.  This is a scam pure and simple to sell newspapers. I guess the newspaper business is really getting worried

i got 3 calls in 1 week, long delay then a message comes on "verifying you number saying they will call back"
YOU call the number back- you enter your phone number and press 1 to be removed from the list

Got a call from this number...no message left.

Got 5 phone calls from this number. All I'm getting is the end of the message on my voicemail "will call you back later". Quite annoying.

Got a call wasn't home first time gotten a call from this number. Didn't leave a message.

I received another one of these calls yesterday.  This time I recorded the answering machine message.  It said the following:

"Hello.  This is a service verification.  We will call you back later.  Thank you."

Today I once again received a call.  This time I choose to answer for once to see what would happen.  It ended up being a sort of survey about Yellow Book.  They asked me a few questions regarding whether I have a Yellow Book directory currently, whether I have used it online, and if I have ever bought anything or a service as a result of it.

After that they thanked me and said they would send me a free two week subscription to my county newspaper, The Patriot News.  

The caller was courteous and I wasn't at all annoyed.  

Now, I cannot say whether all phone calls from this number will be similar or not.  Time will tell in seeing if I receive any future calls from them.

I keep receiving a call from this number every day at various times.  

A message gets left on my machine.  It says something to the like of:

"This is the system verification service.  We will call you back at another time."

Then it hangs up.

I find it annoying that they call at all.  I just got this number less than a month ago and the calls seem to have started in the same week as the hookup.  I signed up for the Do Not Call registry last week.  I'll report again in a month and see if they have stopped after 31 days.

They also won't stop calling me. No message left.
