Basically, it's a spoofed "(doo doo doo) We're sorry, you have reached a number that has been disconnected, or is no longer in service. You you feel you have reached this recording in error, please check the number and try your call again." recording. I think this even works on robo callers, because I believe that robo callers are programmed to eliminate your number from their "lists" once they encounter this particular recording, whether it's real or spoofed. I am getting a call from this # almost every day at my office. No one there.

This number called me three times in a day and every few days.

Message startes as 'our record shows you have not updated your free Google ..etc'

So, they are still at it! I just got a call today and I ignored it but called back and the automated system said it would take my number off the list. I hope so!

THis comes through on CID as "RANKING COMPANY". It's the robocall saying, "You have not (yadda yadda) your Google listing..." These scum just keep changing numbers and calling back.

It's a company in Irvine, California, who says they will put your business on the 1st page of Google. They represent themselves as a Google company, and when I asked for more information (since I knew it wasn't Google spamming me), he said they were a Google certified agency. I'll bet Google would like to know they are using dialers and representing themselves as Google!!!  The number is from a call center used by this company. I am an SEO business, and when he found that out, he didn't want to tell me what company in Irvine he represented and said he would put me on their do not call list and asked that I don't call THEM!  Ha! Ha! Scammers and spammers!

Jus I have received a phone call by 206-397-1159! This is their 6th times calling me when I call them back, the answering system say ?if you want to be output your number, enter the phone number and will be removed in 72 hours?. Next thing you know they call again!!

Rang wireline. Call blocked. Third call.

This number is phone "spam" - and all calls should be ignored.

just caught the end of the voicemail saying... press 1 to be removed from the list... press 3 to verify your google listing.  pure BS.   Its definitely phishing.  They are just seeing if anything is pressed so that they know there is a person on the line.  Your number will be sold to more and more spam callers as a live number.

Got myself a phone with a huge, back-lit display. If I recognize the caller I pick up (or not). If I don't recognize the caller I let the voice-mail get it. If it's a robo-caller it just hangs and goes on to the next AT&T sucker. If it's important they will leave a message and I will retrieve it when I'm damn good and ready. In less than four months the calls have dropped to about three times a day and the important stuff finds it's way to me. I don't carry an iPOOd or a texting device. I have a fifteen year old Nokia I keep in the car that runs me about eight bucks a month for MY convenience on pre-paid.

I wasn't very nice  ~ I did answer the call "I never heard of Ranking Company who the h*** are you and why are you calling me?" I held on until the dial tone came on never heard a voice human or computer generated  they have not called back since maybe I really was recorded

You guys don't give your info. Got called 8am left no message. My one trick worked with them is that just ask them question like why you calling me, where are you from, what is your name, why you calling me this early. Than after he stopped calling me. Yuppie eye.

said they were from google wanting to update our listing, told him to talk to our lawyer, he hung up. Annoying calls, have told them several times to remove us from their calling list.

This is a inbound call with no one on the other end.  In the last 10 days we have received these calls from area codes 323, 213, 870, 206, 408, 888, 251, 928, 630, 323, 427, 702, 205, 623, 240, 425, 866.  I have instructed our service provider to restrict all inbound calls to our immediate regional area and block all long distance inbound calls from the United States.

Rang wireline. Call blocked.

Just got a call and they were looking for Raymundo Martinez?? Surely not me.

The new iOS has a feature to block callers. If you click on the "i" scroll to the bottom and select "Block caller"

Don't know why they want money for paying money on loan. Gone thru everything than finally asked for money card I denied to do that. Then asking me to do western union I hung up on him . Wasting people time and ripping off.caller ID was ranking company . And they are totally b***s***.

Got a call from (206) 397-1159; a machine (female voice) saying, "Our records show that you have not updated your Google listing. Press 1 to update and 9 to be removed from the list". I've received this call several times but this was a new number this time around. I've pushed 9 in the past and it seems to do nothing.

Added to SPAM database.

I just got--another--call from them.

Automated message saying I haven't yet updated my Google account listing.

This number calls me almost everyday and leaves a 6 to 9 second voicemail saying "PLEASE PRESS 1 TO UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE LISTING."  

I called the number back and it goes to an OPT-OUT number which gives you the option to have your number removed from their call list.  I hope it works!

Got a call from them like every other day.  They said select 9 to remove from list. Did not work.  Got a new feature on my phot to block numbers.  They started call but from a different number.  My called id showed company name as "Ranking Company".  I did the 9 again as they said to remove my number.  Lets see if they will stop.  this is my most recent call from them. Sept. 30, 2013.

Called the number (206-397-1159) back. Automated system gave option to be removed from their call list. Asked to confirm number that called me (206-397-1159) and number that was called (my number).

Hope it wasn't a trick to find out if my number is a live number (meaning a number that is in use).

This number called twice today. Calls were 45 minutes apart. Did not leave a message.

FYI: Just started using Google AdWords with a Google phone number and started getting telemarketing calls almost immediately. Am I paying to have ppl or bots click on my ads so they can get my contact info to sell to me? Hope not.

They are still at it. With your smart phone you can reject there solicitation calls.
