They called my business line, I answered the usual professional way, knowing it was probably a robo-call so I could tell them that the owners, Terrance and Phillip, were in fact dead due to an unexpected gas leak. But no answer came from the other end, just hung up on me when I commented on the dead air coming from their end.

We get these calls all day long, they have made it impossible for regular people to use VOIP phones. I am sure I have ignored a customer using Vonage, making them turn to our incredibly unfair telecommunications giants in Canada. Starting to think that the whole VOIP thing was just a scam from the big Comm companies.

I've tried everything. I have the number listed as "Google Scammer" with a special ringtone "B***s***ter Alert". They call twice a day, every day. I've insulted their parentage, attempted to hire them for sex acts which would make people into BDSM cringe in horror, I've sung insulting songs to them, I've even ignored them. Still, they keep calling....
I own a small construction company, I have a wide vocabulary of curse words and can use them in creative combinations. I've out cursed a former Drill Instructor. The best I've been able to do is to get them to hang up on their own...although I think I made one girl cry.
I'll keep at it as long as they keep calling, but I think I'm going to need to put more effort into my insults.

I don't know if it's real, but after a heated conversation with the schmuck on the other line, he hung up on me.

It was SEO, Google, blah blah...the same thing over and over....

Oddly enough, I called the number back and it was an automated line and there was allegedly an option to dial '1' and get added to their "do not call list", alleging 72 hrs to be resolved.

I received  a call from 206-397-1216 on Monday Feb 3 at 10:17am.  called and left a message about some sweepstakes i won.

Very unprofessional caller.

Called me 5 days ago and asked for company owner and I said I was.  She said not selling anything just want to see if I qualify for a front page listing on Google.  I said I have someone taking care of my marketing and am not interested could you please remove me from your call list.  She said, oh no sir, we will call you everyday.  Actually they are calling me at least twice a day since then.

This person just called unsolicited from Google. I refused to give out info. If it's GOOGLE it's annoying that they'd solicit info in this manner especially if they have all the info about me!

I am so desperate to get them to stop calling! I get multiple calls a day for 4-5 months. When I answer I just yell at them and tell them to stop calling me. If I don't answer, they just call back every 2 hours until I finally pick up the phone. They claim to be a part of Google, they are liars and fraud and harassers.

This number refuses to stop calling me. I told them I am on a personal cell phone, told them I am uninterested, told them to stop calling. Have tried yelling & using profanity. Tried telling them I will report them. This has been happening to me for 4-5 months. Sometimes I get multiple calls a day.

A woman with an Indian accent said she was w/ Google "Data Collection" something or other. Tried to ask me how much I spend on Advertising. I wouldn't tell her anything, but kept asking if she was REALLY with Google. They don't say yes or no, just that they are data collectors related to Google. She wanted to know if I wanted my business on the front page of Google. When I told I was either #1 or #2 in my local market, she wanted to know if I wanted to be on the front page nationally. I gave her some grief for trying to sell me a service I clearly don't need.

I received a call from this number today. Actually three calls today. They left one message saying they are from Yelp.com. I thought you guys should know they are no longer claiming they are from google. I don't know if it really is yelp but I have been ignoring yelp since when I tell them that I do not wish to pay advertising with them they want to discuss why and will not let it go.

Woman with a very heavy foreign accent called my business and kept saying "I'm speaking with the owner, right?" I never say the word "yes" or say anything to the affirmative when I get a scam call like this. Instead, each time she said that, I said "how can I help you with your insurance claim today" or "what is your claim number?" (My business is NOT insurance). Finally she said something about Google (she was very hard to understand) and I repeated several times "the number you called is an insurance claims call center, what is your claim number?" She seemed frustrated and hung up. I guess we'll see if we get another call from this number.

oh and what made me come upon this page, she called AGAIN today!  again i didnt answer...

i had the SAME experience it was a female, indian accent.  said she was with google and wanted to verify my business info.  kept asking if i wanted to be on google front page.  i repeatedly said NO i can not afford anything like that right now.  she said ok thank you and we ended the call.  then 3 min later she called BACK, i answer, she says "ok so you want to be on googles front page hold on and let me transfer you"  i thought WTF?! then a guy answers and she is trying to connect me and him but she hangs up on him, asks me to hold, i said F-this and hung up.  she proceeded to call back 25 times in the next 2 days!!!!  i didn't answer and i kept count.  totally insane.

Come on people.  Do you really think the North American laws apply to people phoning from overseas?  Complain all you want, but you can get a VOIP type phone service and be anywhere in the world, and use a phone number from anywhere.  This is where the technology has taken us.  Screen your calls, that is all you can really do.  

This is a company claiming to sell Google adwords, and has nothing to do with Google.  

I got one today from this number and just kept asking question after question after question and he eventually got pissed and hung up. Claimed to be with mjlistings.com I told him his website didn't work and he said yes it does, that domain has not even been purchased. I just bombard them with dumb questions to waste their time, they hang up.

The caller ID says: "Your Web Page", when I answered the phone, this foreigner guy was in conversation with someone else and he kept saying, "Just Hang Up" Hang Up the phone...so that was my Que..I hung up. hope he doesnt call back after reading all the replies posted... Good Luck guys. I will report if they call again.

Emanuel keeps calling our company and I want to report him, if this company keeps calling Cafe de vapor we will press charges and go OUT OF OUR WAY to prosecute this person and the corporation that he represents. Do not call us back

Or you could get a life. A class action law suit?  Really? Block the number, or don't answer, or just hang up. What is the big deal. Class action lawsuit, get a life. Nobody cares enough to file suit over a couple of telephone calls. Is it really that big of a deal? Jesus.

Calls from this Number 206-397-1216 they call me 4 times a day - it needs to stop

Called my cell phone today.  As others have reported, a heavy Indian accent, insistent, and polite - wants me to confirm my identity (which he had wrong) and again as others have reported, claimed to represent Google.  I told him he had reached the wrong number, and hung up.

Keeps calling my business line, either leave a message or move on. I've answered once and told them I'm not interested and they just don't get it!
