No message, just hungup.  When I called back, its a solicitation to hear about "exciting offers," but you can press 1 to no longer get the calls.

Scammers!  Called my DND registered cell number.

They offer to give you a "free" security inspection of your home in exchange for sticking their sign in your lawn.

The call was from Home Security Group, asking if they could install a free security system in my house to "advertise" their services in my neighborhood.

This is the second call and it makes me suspicious that they're fishing to see who has or does not already have security system.

I am on the do-not-call list and will report this to the FCC,.

I got this call on my cell phone.  When I answered, they hung up.  Because I work in the medical field, I wanted to make sure it wasn't a family member of one of my patients, so I called back.  I got an automated message that said, "Thank you for calling back.  If you don't want to hear about our exciting offers, please press 1 to be put on our Do Not Call list."  I pressed 1.  I hope nothing weird happens!

Called and hung up once answering machine picked up. If they are a security company why are they hanging up.  I am also on do not call list.  Are they checking to see if someone is home?

Called asking about interest in a home security system.
Confirmed contact information then I was called back by someone @ 800-780-7492 with the sales pitch.
I called the number back, as mentioned by another person on here, and pressed 1 to be placed on their Do Not Call list.

Probably a scam to see who has a security system or not...
I am on the DNC list so I wonder how they got my number...
I already have 2 security systems, they both weigh ~100+ lbs, with big teeth.

I received a similar call on my cell phone number.  The person on the other end would not identify himself but only stated they were from a security company and that they we're checking to see if I already had one installed.  I told them I did and hung up on him.  Not sure if they are con artists checking to see who has a system or not.

I just got a call also. I asked if I would find the comapny, he said he did not knw, he just started and that he would check with supervisor after I gave him my name.

WTF??? No matter how I questioned him, he always repeated himself, I began to think it was a recording of some kind so I stopped talking and so did he.  I eventually hung up.

Same nonsense. Calls, hugs up. Too much time on their hands and I would like to know why are we subjected to this form of harassment? One wonders why the no call list exist. To provide these people with our unlisted phone numbers?

Received a call today on cell phone-wanted to use my home as a "demonstration" home for a security system. I told him we have a full system including a security camera, monitor, etc. He then asked if we have a monthly paymrent. I then repeated my first answer. He said NO Problem and I hung up.

My caller id displays SIMS.  I have no idea why on earth I would be getting calls from Seattle.  Burn in Hell solicitors and debt collectors, and the debtors who give these people reason to call numbers at random!

My caller ID shows SIMS 206-397-1505, no message was left.  I called the # back, just a recording which does not identify the company, but, an option to press #1 to stop further calls ... apparently it doesn't work, I received a call shortly afterwards from 800-780-7492 - which is a home security biz.  I confirmed their telemarketing # is 206-397-1505.  I asked how they got my #, the guy told me my husband gave our tel # when he registered at hulu.com

Same as the other callers...No message.

I'm on the cell phone DNC list as well.  Maybe they are randomly going through numbers one digit at a time.  I reported it on the DNC line, too.

Call from some tool Brett F. Hoover. Touting himself as the number one security expert and former director to the FBI and current contracted consultant for the CIA and NSA Homeland Security. He said he "personally" inspected my place of buisness and home and has a multitude of "security flaws" in which he "must discuss" with me. All for a low, low price. I am calling the police.

Received a call today from 206-397-1505 @ 1:18PM EST on my Verizon cell phone. Caller stated same as above about security system, explained I was a security expert for years and have the best monitored system you can buy. Caller quickly hung up. Please don't respond specifically but I'm curious if this is all in the same area. I live on the East Coast.

This evening I had a man come to my door (non-soliciting neighborhood with signs), instead of opening the front door I went out my open garage door back to my grill (I was cooking on it). He came over to me and talked very loud saying he just rang my doorbell why didn't I answer him..etc. He said he was selling cleaning supplies and wanted to show me what he had nothing was with him except a small clipboard with two fliers and a lot of scrap paper with nothing written on them. I told him we are a no soliciting neighborhood and I'm not interested, he needed to leave. He stepped closer and so did I telling him he needed to leave the neighborhood and property now. He tried one last time and stepped even closer, less than an arms length from me so I took a stance taught in self defense and I think he got the hint because he quickly turned around and left. He walked to my neighbor and tried the same only for him to tell him to leave. We have had numerous break in attempts lately and everything in me screamed he was scoping things out.

I don't care to alarm anyone but it does seem like a scam to get information. More than likely it's a coincidence however this is the first call like this I have received and the first man like this in my quiet neighborhood in the past 6 years. My neighbor and I both called the police to make them aware and when we both told him No he quickly walked to his van (with Nevada plates...remember we are on the East coast) and drove away. For the record I am a female if that makes the situation today any stranger.

Just got a call from this number. The man asked if I would like a free security system, when I told him I already have a security system he hung up without another word. I reported it to my security company, they told me this call is most likely by someone who is looking for houses to target. Be careful of what you tell people!
