Latest call from this number attempted to elicit private data, including credit card information.  Caller used confrontational tone and claimed to be working with the FDIC.

Has the nerve to call and not answer calling number back but no answer DO NOT CALL MY HOUSE AGAIN

Has already called several times, I've politely said I'm not interested, one time I let him go through his routine and THEN said I wasn't interested. Today he woke me up from a nap. STOP THIS MAN!

They finally got hold of my husband today and started trying to get info out of him when he liked the lower your interest rate line.
When I told them I handle all my interest rates directly with the companies I have the cards with he started telling me I couldn't do that because the people customers deal with at credit card companies don't have the authority to lower rates.
I told him with all due respect I can and do negotiate my interest rates and I don't need a go between and hung up.

After numerous calls from this number, I told them we were not familiar with the company, and would not take the call. They then offered up the empty threat "fine, I will just send your claim back to your bank as 'denied' "  Whatever.  I am so sick of all these scammers.

Okay... its your, hour and weird. Should have married a teacher maybe? l'm just sayin...

Some black girl just called me from IMF, and before she could even say anything I said "Look, I realize if your doing phone solicitation for a living that life probably didn't work out the way you had planned... but I'm so not interested, thanks" and I hung up. Cause thats how I handle a***ole telemarketers. Anyway, Bi*** called me back and said she made $115,000 last yr and her life was just great! LMAO!!! I upset the crack w***e. So much so she had to call me back!!! What a LOSER!!! I showed that s**t huh???

I just filed a complaint against this number and the more people that do, hopefully this company can be stopped.

I received a call and IMF showed on the caller ID and the phone number was 206-397-1559.

* The woman said what her services did, I said I can do it myself and she started asking me personal questions about my credit cards.

* I told her I was not interested and to take me off her list.  She continued to talk and try to sell me.  I told her again I was not interested and to take me of her list and she is obviously not listening to me.  She continued talking so I hung up on her.

* This woman called back THREE times - all three times I answered the call and then hung up. I do not need my voicemail box filled with more of her words.

* The FOURTH time she called me back I said that she is legally required to take me off her list and if she calls me again I will report her to the attorney general and the BBB.  She said that she knows "him" - which I'm guessing she was saying that she knows the Attorney General.  Needless to say at this point I hung up again.  She didn't call back after that.

Answer the call without saying anything, immediately press the # key 12 times.  Do that for a few times and they will stop calling you.

All they do is sell info about you, what time you are home, what time you are not home, if a man answers or if a woman answers.  Demographics info is sold to retail telephone solicitors.

My mom almost fell for it, she really thought they were trying to help because they were actually really polite and everything. Don't fall for it, we probably could have gotten into all kinds of financial trouble if we would have gone through with it. Glad people posted on here that it was a scam, THANKS!

Finally answered after the 3rd time recieving this call. Gave me the same lines as previous posters. The man tried to seem "charming" while wanting me to disclose my account information, but quickly hung up on me when I would not comply. Jerk! I may have to invest in a airhorn for future calls from this number.

Multiple calls, no one ever says anything.

Got multiple calls from this # in the few days after my move in. Caller ID shows "IMF" (International Monetary Fund?) but no voice message. Ridiculous!

Bombarded with harassing phone calls! This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!

DO NOT give or CONFIRM any information to anyone that asks you, unless you are willing to disclose it and KNOW who you are giving to. NEVER give any information because you feel intimidated. They ARE TRAINED to use peoples weakness and fear to get what they want.

DO NOT hesitate to ask them who they are and DO NOT feel intimidated to say to them that YOU DO NOT want anything from them. Even if they sound "official"! Serious and LEGAL companies will respectfully handle the calls and will not request over the phone private and sensitive information when they have originated the call. And if they DO, you are NOT obligated to surrender to this option. You have all the  RIGHT to request either an appointment or to handle it by mail. The point is, NEVER allow yourself to participate in a situation where you are not "feeling" good about the circumstances. Request what you want and if you have to, DEMAND it. I have learned by experience that what my HEART tells me is what is right. My mind can get confused because thoughts go where you allow them to go. Follow YOUR HEART!

I have over three months I receive phone calls from  IMF (206) 397-1559. I do not answer these calls anymore; because by past experiences I know these are harassing telemarketing calls. I receive these calls as early as 8 AM and as late as 8:30PM any day of the week including Sundays; sometimes the same number recorded about five times in the same day. When I check my voicemails, there is nothing recorded from this source.

In our home we ONLY answer calls that are identified and okayed by us. In other words any calls we do not know who they are, they MUST leave a message disclosing: WHO is calling; from WHAT company; WHAT is the reason for their call; and a phone number to call back.

I do not return calls of "suspicious" or "unclear" messages. If it was a legitimate call and an important one, the caller will be clear and will give complete informaton; or will have to call back and try again.

That still doesn't take away the fact these are unwanted and harrassing phone calls.  

Anyone with a bright idea on how to eliminate this harassing calls? I have read a few other posts here and understand these people can get very nasty if one doesn't abide by their "terms." This is an illegal-ongoing-issue that VIOLATES peoples RIGHTS on their choice of NO MORE CALLS from telemarketers. Telemarketers push their nasty and illegal ways on people; they ARE trained to intimidate! DO NOT ALLOW THIS! This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

Do NOT CONFIRM any information over the phone! NOT even your name! Nobody can force you to disclose what you do NOT want to disclose! THis is YOUR RIGHT! They are forcefully infiltrating in your PRIVATE and PERSONAL business.

Unfortunately there are ways for our personal information to be SOLD even if one is against it ( Illegal too!), and our names and private information end up in the hands of "Illegal Doers," such as marketers.

LET US JOIN AND ELIMINATE THEIR ABILITY TO CONTNUE HARASSING OUR PRIVATE LIFE WITH OUR PRIVATE INFORMATION!

They are some kind of credit consolidation service that wont take no for an answer if you get a call from this company just hang up. they are rude and sarcastic.

I'm suspicious of anyone who calls repeatedly but never leaves a message.

Been getting 3-4 calls pewr day for the past 5 days from this number.  When I try to call back it jsut places me on hold with music and no one ever picks up.  I have yet to answer the phone when they call all day when i'm at work.  How can I make them stop????

Same rude calls from this number and he even told me I was ignorant like 3 times before i finally hung up on him and came and typed number in google search bar to figure out to stop the calls. Thay called many times before and they will not stop.

Just got a call from 206-397-1559 - they got downright rude when I started asking them questions - they did not know I was an accountant and know BETTER than to give them a credit card #.  Kept asking them why they wanted to "help me" and what was in it for them.  Guess I was getting too smart for the girl who called me and next thing I knew I was talking to her "Manager" and she started from point A again giving me all the BS over.  I told her I had my identity stolen once (thru a mortgage company theft)and it wasn't going to happen again and if they wanted to "help me", give me their telephone #  and I would think about it and call them back - man, you talk about rude!!   Finally had to hang up on them.   If they call back, I am going to bang this telephone so hard it is going to burst their ear drum.

They called me a few times today, I turned my fax machine on and they stopped calling!!

Just received another call from 202-397-1559 and the lady asked for me by my first name as if she new me. Said she was with blah blah blah and was calling about my Visa accounts. She wanted to offer me a lower interest rates on my Visa accounts. She asked me if I have received the letter that was sent out... told her i probably through the junk mail in the recyle bin. She rattled off my address and asked if she that was correct.  I told her yes.  Next she said that I see you have XX amount of debt and wanted me to confirm that amount. When I told her I would not confirm or either way if that was correct or not she got mad. She told me that this is the information that she recieved from my credit report and that if i did not want to confirm the debt amount, there was nothing she could do for me and hoped that I continue to drown in debt. Have a nice day and hung up.

Here is why this is a scam.....I don't have any Visa accounts and no credit card debt.

We are on the comcast and the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST for a month now our company has been receiving calls multiple times a day from this # DO NOT CALL LIST = DO NOT CALL ITS ILLEGAL.

does anybody know how to go about pressing charges on these types of people the list its self is not working

We are a companie on the national do not call list this number calls us a couple times a day when I answer there is nothing but dead air. this is driving us nuts STOP CALLING ITS AGAINST THE LAW.

I have started getting phone calls from this number.  So far, they have called three times in the last two days.  I do not answer phone numbers that I don't know.  After reading some of the postings, I am sure glad I have not answered the phone.

I answered, David Robinson, said they could lower my rates.  He said he was reading my credit report.  When I asked to be taken off the list, that I do not give out credit information over the phone he got belligerent.  Most companies once you tell them you want to be taken off the list, comply quickly.  This caller kept on arguing.  Amazing! He would not explain to me what he wanted, he just kept on saying he wanted to lower my interest rates.

If at all possible don't take a call from this company.

I've been receiving calls from this company for approx. 6 weeks; the caller never leaves a message, but the Caller ID reads "IMF".  When I called back the number listed-- 206-397-1559, the connection and/or recorded message is horrible (the message stating for you to remain on the line).

When I answered got an automated message "bye". Hit redial got recording "your call is very important to us."
