This number called my cell phone and asked for me, claiming that I had been entered in the "Dream Come True Sweepstakes" because I was a "preferred customer" of Visa, Mastercard or Discover. He claimed I could win some thousand dollars or a free trip for two to Rome. He first verified that I had a credit card and then confirmed my address that he had on record and then asked me my age. When he asked me for my marital status and the date of my upcoming wedding I became suspicious. He said these were just friendly questions and that he was just wanting to congratulate me. When I asked what company he was representing and why he was asking these questions, he quickly ended the call with a "I'll call back later when you are less busy".

I too received the same call from that number and the man had my address and my name and when he asked for my age I told him I did not wish to disclose that information and he quickly hung up. I found the number is a cell phone registered in Seattle, Washington but no name. I tried to call back and got voicemail and also tried to call from another phone and got hung up on. I would like this investigated but do not know whom to contact.

I got this same call not sure what the deal is always hangs up and won't remove the number from their calling list

Since the 2nd of January, I've had 5 phone calls from the 206 area code and so far, I've only had my phone handy to answer one of them.  The guy said he was calling to let me know that I'd been selected as a finalist in a drawing (without saying who it was with) and that my selection allowed me to get subscriptions to a bunch of magazines at no cost and one of two magazines for a nominal fee.  He started asking questions and I told him I couldn't talk as I was driving.  I asked if they would follow up the phone call with something in the mail and he said they would.  Now I'm looking forward to seeing what it is so I can contact them.  My number is on the National Do Not Call list...

I got a phone call just now, they said they were from "Publishers".  they had my address, and asked my age.  They then asked my job and I said "retail" not giving any further information, they then asked if I wanted to sign up for 4 free magazines for a period of time, i said No that I have no time to read magazines and she said that I am still eligible for the sweepstakes but I won't have to sign up for anything and ended the call very quickly after, without a formal goodbye that typical cold callers use.
Also there was a lottttt of talking in the background like it was an actual telemarketing center with very poor noise cancelling systems

I r'cd the call and on caller ID it was under the name Angie Nguyen..... told him he had the wrong number and hung up.

This number calls me every day and my husband finally answered it and they hung up on him.  I've had it.  It actually has a name attached to it. Mark Nyugen. Who is this/

Got a call from this number today, didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Called back and went to a voice mail.

Started getting calls from this number after applying for AMEX, beware...

i received a call from this number and they asked for my name and told them i was someone else and i asked him who he was and his reason for calling and he was very persistent in not telling me any information at all!

just got this call, didn't answer. left no voicemail...grr!

called twice in a row didnt leave message called back and went to voicemail

said they were from publisher; also received a call from 206-778-5957; first question they asked was the type of credit card I carried -- very fishy

Said he was from publishers clearing house.

I just got two calls from this number that I missed but they didn't leave a message.

was it a personal phone call? or just a telemarketer?  I have been getting them too
