I received a call today on my cell phone.  He said I had committed bank fraud by not having enough finds in my checking acct for a company called Advance Payday Loans, so i  violated the Federal Trust and Banking LesgislationLaws. He wanted my attorneys name and phone number so he could call
and advise them of this case.  He wanted to know the last 4 digits of my social, I said I don't need to give you that, and he gave it to me.   This lawsuit is supposedly being done by the Commonwealth Of Virginia against  me (even though he called it the state of Virginia) which clued me into the fact that it was a scam.  He told me to expect the authorities to be at my door Monday morning with a package,  giving me all of the information about the case.  This is the 4th call I've had about this, although they were different names and numbers, but the person always had a thick east Indian accent.  I told him it was a scam and I'm not going to pad his pocket and that I am reporting him to the Secret Service, who handles these cases, and he hung up, very quickly!!  So everyone beware of this type of scam, and under NO circumstances worry about it, because you will not get a package, and never give them your social security number!!!  When they ask for the last 4, say, well you called me, you must already have it...this really frustrates them...then say something like I'll only believe you are legitimate if you email the information to me, which they never will, they will just tell you to wait for the authorities to be at your door with the information.  Don't be scared, it may sound legit, but it is not.  Hope this helps everyone!!

This call is probably routed from Nigeria. Threatening, asking for attorney to respond....  .it is an African accent.this is investigated through Interpol.
 If you recieve this message call you local FBI office , telephone fraud office.  From "Jason" now.Was some "officer" before.dont call them back..they will continue to call.

Rec'd a call at work today from this number asking for my social. I would not give it. He said he was from Roathleen and Assocates Law Office and his name was Jay Green. I did not give him any information, but I did notify my local sheriffs office and also the Attorney General for my state.

I receive messages from them all the time,  several actually.  just ignore the message and delete.  They eventlually give up.  If not take the numbe rdown and file a harrasement police report against the number,  My police department called them and advised them to stop harrasing me.  They have slowed down considerable since I filed the report.

I also received a call from someone name jason.  These morons think that people are stupit.  I don't know were your calling from but they should throw your a** in jail  so that someone can make you there butch.
To all do not fall form these scam morons.  As far as I know these people with forigen accents are call from some country in the middle east.  Do not give these morons any personnel info.  They can not be trusted.

I have been deling with this scam for over two years.  It wasn't till earlier this year that I found a way to stop the calls from the number that called you.  After I hear that stupid voice mail I then call them back and give them my name and phone number and then I tell them to put me on their do not call list. I hang up right after that and that number does not call me back ever. They are by definition a telemarketer and would lose their business if they do not follow the law.  Please spread this information so that this scam will end!

received a call from them today.  i have been harrased for months on end by these people.  he claims his name is jason.  thick indian accent.  HOW CAN WE STOP THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

I went to police department and they called them back after refused to give them my name.  I traced the call 3 times today.  When the officer asked for my address they couldn't give it.  They are calling everyone in my family in the area.  I would like to toss them in a room to list to the message they leave over and over for hours or days at a time.

This mumble-mouth sonofabitch keeps calling and asking for Harley White. I told him, if he doesn't stop I will find him and put ipecac in his food source. His name appears to be Jason. When I tried to call using blocking technology<, the call bounced back from a number that belongs to my son's friend.
Curse at this b*****d, threaten him. It is always Jason and he is a weasel.

Calling them is not wise.

The calls are comming from a scammer.  He doesn't know who you are.  He is using a robo-dialer to call every number in the US.  So he is calling fax machines and unassigned numbers, too.  If you call him he will know that your number is live, it is used by a human being, not a fax machine.  Once he learns that he and his friends will call you non-stop.

It is a collection agency. In order to stop receiving calls, you must do the following:
Dial*60, hit # then type in the phone number and hit # again. This step should take care of the bothersome calls.

Same here, Jason called,  this started last year with a woman calling over a  payday advance that i  was to have taken out.........i did'nt.  I've reported the numbers they call from, i've blocked the numbers which does no good because as soon as i do another one calls.  The bad thing is besides the harrassing calls, is they have my work number,  fortunantly my boss  has a sense of humor, but its damned embarrassing.  i  wish there was a way to stop them from calling, its crazy that they are getting by with it.  How do they get our numbers anyway?  i have an unpublished cell number   i don't get it!!!!!

I received the same call, and he was asking me for my social security number to verify who I am.  I told him I'm not giving my social security number to anyone until I know what the situation is.  It has been over a year since I last received a call from these people.  I am sick of this crap.  The last time, I said the same thing as Kenneth did, about providing me a written request.  I was then told that I would receive a summons in the mail.  Shocker...never received the summons.  Who do we report these people to???  How do we get them to stop calling us?  This is absolutely ridiculous.

I RCVD CALL FROM A JASON I THINK TODAY. BIG, THICK INDIAN ACCENT ASKING ME OR MY ATTORNERY TO CALL HIM BACK. I AM TIRED OF THE STUPID F***ING PEOPLE BOTHERING ME. WHEN I ACTUALLY ANSWER THEM, I SAY SEND IT TO ME IN WRITING AND THEY RESPOND THEY CANT. I DID RETAIL COLLECTIONS FOR 5 YEARS AND I KNOW FOR A FACT IF SOMEONE REQUESTS SOMETHING IN WRITING YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE IT TO THEM.
