my experience with the person with the drivers license number matching described one name is James Anthony from San Francisco California.he is under the disguise of a contractor who builds roads and buildings In foreign countries. he is Supposedly in Belgium as we speak. He told me that jazz received a 1 million dollar check to begin a project in West Africa. We met on the site called meet me.com.how I became to know that he was a fraud that he told me he would give me one of his cars and all I had to do was pay the shipping from California 2 North Carolina. The amount was 3750.he sent me the information to Western Union me. I told him I would not send anything until I had a copy of his drivers license the contract with the shipping company. I googled the address of the shipping company and it was a residential community in San Francisco actually I think it was then Santa Barbara or somewhere. So I sent this picture to him. He finally sends me a driver's license. This drivers license behind picture is not white it is like a survey or a pLot off roads.my friend message this. he is livid that I do not believe him ceXxxrexxal. I called the number for the shipping company and it is him that answers the phone. I suppose he thinks I am completely stupid. He says it is not mean but it is him I'm still talking to him because I will catch him eventually. I have told him he is a fake but he insists she is not. I have two phone numbers for him plus the shipping company phone number. The phone number on his drivers license I mean the address on his drivers license as for T Mobile midtown Manhattan.he keeps telling me how much he loves me and how much I mean to him I have changed his life and that he is going to meet me in Florida soon. I believe this is all a pack of life of course. I probably should call D take care of that investigation or the FBI I do not know which.any suggestions from anyone out there dealing with the same or a person that is the drivers license mentioned and these texts.

I'm convinced that the person who keeps using this same fake ID number is Oseaga Godwin. It's a scam and It's my hunch that he is the mastermind. He changes the new york state ID# 084 210 74b, he changes the names and pictures to use for scams in NY. I have spoke on the phone, he had poor English and claimed to be someone that he was not. I was suspicious at first when I met this person he actually claimed to be a girl  stuck in Nigeria.. she said she "loves me" and wants me to buy her a ticket to SLC to stay w/ me. She said she was from NY and lived there all of her life and is in Africa now because of her sick mom.... When we spoke on the phone her voice sounded raspy and had an African accent, which confirmed that I was being lied to. After knowing this I continued to play along to see what i could find out. After some time "she" eventually asked me to pay for her ticket to come see me. When she gave me the bank account to send the money to for the ticket the name for the bank account holder was Oseaga Godwin... so that's why I think this is the person behind all of this. I never gave this person money but I know whoever it was wanted my money lol.

I have read all the posts and am glad people are posting these scams. I have a real vacation rental in NYC and my pictures (along with other people's pictures) are being used on Craigslist to scam people. I have contacted craigslist and so have other homeowners but all we are told to do is "flag the posting as prohibited"- this does not do much because all they do is put them back up again. So, I frequently scan craigslist and when I see my pictures, I flag the posting.
Since I do this at least once a week, I have found another scammer:

If you go to websites such as HomeAway or VRBO (which are the websites we homeowners list on), you will see our pictures being taken from these websites and used on craigslist.
Just wanted to share the information and warn people about these scams.

Sadly we fell for their scam and would like to share our experience in the hope that more people become aware of these sick fraudsters.  We  have been scammed by a fraudster working under the name ?Deborah Hunts? (aka Angela Hunts), and whose email is "deborahhunts31@yahoo.com."
The rental looked legitimate except for the fact that she requested payment by Western Union (should have been a huge red flag to us). Her emails had terrible grammar and proper words were not capitalized (another red flag). We signed a rental booking form/agreement which set forth we were to pay 1/2 of the total rent plus $200 deposit to be returned upon checkout. After we sent the money and a Mr. Manion from Anaheim picked up the funds, Hunts then writes us to indicate Manion wanted full payment after all, and the the 1/2 payment was applicable only to weekly rentals. This is when finally realized we were likely dealing with a fraudster. When we demanded to get a cell number (sadly after we had sent a deposit), she gave us a phone number, 206 426 9814, which we googled. It turned out it was a fraudulent connection (thanks to this website-. We had already sent $350, plus fees, to a Mr. Manion in Anaheim California. Note that this fraudster provided an address (it was a true address but which of course did not belong to her or to Manion) and promised some pictures. We lost $380 including Western Union and bank fees. Thankfully it was not much more, but this amount is a lot of money for many folks.

As Craigslist and Western Union have clearly warned, do not send money to anyone you don't know. We have had 2 previous positive experiences renting through a Craigslist listing - the difference then was that payment was through Paypal (you are protected), we had telephone contact more than once, the renter/owner did not hesitate to leave their phone number, they called us, and one was linked to the Air Bed and Bath website. Basically the first red flag is if they are requesting payment by Western Union or Money Gram, because once the money is released, there is no recourse on your part, and your credit card company would not cover it under fraud protection based on the premise the Western Union did its duty of sending funds you had authorized for release.

We posted a warning on Craiglist sharing our experience, and within minutes someone emailed us to thank us for the warning, as the potential renter was about to do a deal with a similar fraudster.  He told us that the responder/fraudster was someone going by Mr Ron Simons (ronsimons.inc@gmail.com).  Within hours someone flagged our warning (hmm I wonder who did that....) and Craiglist took it down obvoiusly without regard to the merits of the posting.

We have learned from another caring Craigslist poster (thank you for the warning; I hope you don't mind my borrowing your info) that the following emails provided in various fraudulent rentals are as follows:

There is also something like karais4real or something like that. The following names were also recently used by the same scammers: Jane Synovec, Collins Elizabeth, Franklin Holloway, Neusa Hawhorne (they forgot to ad the T to Hawthorne), ellen mcintosh, and Nicolars Smith.

Remember the red flag is the use of wire transfer (Money Gram and Western Union).  The fraudster will ask for Money Gram or Western Union payment after you have made initial contact.  They will not say this in the listing as that would be too obvious.  Paypal is an indication the renter has nothing to hide and of course you are protected by Paypal (within prescribed limits; please read their policy).
