If i don't answer their call, they should probably get the hint that i never will instead of calling non stop. i have received calls for the past week. I probably have 50 calls total. I wonder how they got my number.

This number tries to call me numerous times a day. Most of the time, when I answer there is no one there. Today, I caught them on voicemail, asking for me but not realizing they were on voicemail. When I call the number back, I get a recording that the number is not in service.

PLEASE STOP THESE VILE PEOPLE.

If you want a couple of reasons you cannot call back the number that just called you search on "Caller ID Spoofing" and "Outbound Only Telephone Numbers".  Another possibility is that they recorded their voicemail or answering machine message with a copy of the telephone company's "Not in Service" message to deflect return calls.

When u call back it says you have reached a non-working number.wtf?? How can they call me uf their numbrt is not workibg? Tuank god i hwve "reject number " on my emart phon. I just reject them andthey call but say they are not wanted on my phone.

They keep calling hanging up and I call back but the system acts like the number doesn't exist

I got a call from 206-496-0454 a few minutes ago. They are trying to sell me some college services. This is the third such call I got today, every time form different numbers.

I told them to take me off their list but it does not work.

When I called back that number, I am told the number has been disconnected.

Scott's right. It all starts from the number 800 613 6524. Which is Carribian Cruise Lines. Apparently these A-holes sell your phone number to these scammer A-holes. Ever since I got my first call from 800 613 6524 I've been getting calls from different numbers from all over the country. To this day I have never answered a single call. If you have a smart phone you can easily block these scam calls by adjusting the "Blocking Mode" settings. It takes the unwanted caller's call & either sends it to voicemail or just disconnects them alltogether. I'm unsure because when I get a missed call from a scam I just find the numbers of whoes been calling in my call log. Either way when they call, my phone doesn't ring so I'm not bothered. The best thing to do is not answer. Just by answering you giving up personal information about your gender & possible age. I reccomend looking up the origin number for yourselves 800 613 6524 for more insite on these Carribian Cruise Line morons.

I dont answer unknown area code calls. but did try to call back and got a recording to hold for an agent and an options to be removed. I did and they still call. 10 times in one day

Yup I have their game down...first they call from 800 613 6524, then If no answer, they call from 206 496 0454. Annoying but I just ignore them because there seems to be now way to be taken off their list, even with being on the Do Not Call registry

These people are really p-ing me off.They have been calling me every five minutes all day long. They make me sick.

they call about colleges and connecting me with other colleges. They are suppose to send me an e-mail. I called the number back and it was disconnected.

What IS it that makes people think:
(1) that this web site has anything to do with the callers,
(2) that anyone reading these comments has anything to do with the callers, or
(3) that even if the callers or readers DID have something to do with the annoying calls, that they could figure out who an anonymous poster who calls himself "Ed" is, much less figure out what number he wants unsubscribed?

I have a feeling that whatever it is that makes people think these things also makes them easy prey for scammers.

All of you understand that the scammer do not read these forums or care if you do not like getting these calls. The only thing they respond to is $$$$$$$$ being taken away from them.

This is one in a long list of fake number these scammers are using. It comes up as disconnected or no longer in service - and I received a call (or rather had my call screening system capture the call) a few hours ago. IF based out of the US or Canada, this is highly illegal and also totally unenforced by the Fed and States. It is more likely that these companies could be overseas (India ?) using fake numbers in their caller ID - totally unenforceable.

I received a call saying that "we entered your contact information for [something inaudible] for college." I repeated back to him several times that I did not understand what he was saying, that I did not know who he was and that I had finished college. He continued to tell me that "we entered your contact information" and I finally told him I was uncomfortable and going to hang up and then did so. I have since had this number call me 8 more times.

This guy must have a lil tiny weeweee cuz if it was bigger he'd be playing with it instead of calling me

I have been getting numerous calls from this number!  The problem IS - my son & daughter in law live in Seattle and are having a baby any day SO - I try to answer the call as it is the 206 area code!  Ticks me off!!!

I just got my second call of the day from them. Didn't pick up this time...I am receiving these calls on a cell phone, since I  don't have a landline.

This number called me this morning. Like several others on this blog, I am job hunting as well. Because it could be somebody calling regarding interviews or job offers, I picked up the call ( I wouldn't usually). Silence on the other end and then a hang up. In job hunting and resume posting , you will pass lots of windows offering 'continueing education'. If you don't uncheck those 'offers' they will get you. Sometimes it is very sneaky and hard to spot. Sometimes they contact you because it is the privicy clauses. It sucks though....
