Got another phone call from Cardholder Services.  Told the telemarketer that I don't want to be called again.  She hung up  on me.  How rude!

I had a call from Pacifictel today with phone 503-572-2287.  Not the first call I've had but have told them to take me of the calling list as I do not have a credit card but it doesn't do any good. They hang up without a word. This location was in MN. I have also had calls from Flordia, Kansas, Seattle and other places. I keep reporting these calls to the DNC list but it doesn't stop.

Same thing here. I  have  counted  4   numbers so ofar caller just  said one was from  beaverton oregon. Girl's name is Rachel and  it is automated.   Seems like the more i pick up the more frequently they call. P.s. also DNC list. But I doubt this is a legit business since original company based i in Ecuador

Scam to get your credit card info, I block their calls, they are a pain in the A***.

Credit card scam. "Urgent" message from "Rachael" concerning my (unspecified) credit cards when it was a robo dial and she didn't even ask for a specific person. OBVIOUS scam.

We are constantly receiving calls from this number asking if we want to lower our credit card interest rate.  Today I actually talked to a person who I told to take our number of their list.  "Oh, I don't think we can take your number off the list."  I told him to do it and hung up.

have 2 relatives out there and when the phone rang and i saw pacific tel i had palpitations that something was wrong with them. someone should stop these people before someone has a heartattack. fed up with this whole phone telemarketing. if i want something done i'll be the person to initiate it not some dead head on my personal phone line.

My phone number is on the National Do NOT Call list .... your telemarketers are RUDE and hang up when you tell them that!

I didnt think there even was a "Pacifictel" anymore, but there is an Internet presence.  Maybe if they get wind of these scammers in LA that's how this will end.  At this number anyway.  Oh, also unless the internet thing is also fake.  But why would a fake phone company try to gat me to LOWER MY INTEREST RATES BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT!!!!!! (yes shouting). All I can say is you would hate to hear how I am Wishing it will play out when YOUR time finally runs out, Rachael.

I hope by now you have contacted your Bank or Credit Union?  Please NEVER give out personal ("...since my husband passed away...") or financial information TO ANYONE, especially over the phone, unless you initiated the inquiry.  Best to call your bank right away and see if anything untoward has taken place, and ask them to flag your account(s) due to suspicious inquiry.  Also check your accounts online at least weekly --basically forever-- because those scammer jerks sometimes wait for months and years before they steal your identity or just your money.  Sadly we can't even trust the caller ID these days, they can now make it appear as Santa Claus calling if they want.  This is what's known as "Spoofing" and it's everywhere.  I wont say you can't trust anyone, but we must keep our guard up at all times, and cover our you-know-what.  Good luck to you.

Please explain if anybody knows how can people make these calls from prison?  Am I not understanding something?  They commit a crime, get sentenced, serve time while tax payers are paying for them to make money by phone.  Gives a new twist to work at home.

Caller left a message offering to reduce interest. Saying time is limited, and to press 1 to talk to someone or 3 to stop receiving calls.  Yeah right... I'm sure that would work.  They're a confirmed spammer and blocked on my phone now.

Called on December 14. Repeated robo calls with urgent message regarding reducing your credit card interest rates. You opportunity to reduce your rates will expire if you do not call. (One could only wish such were true so these lowlifes would stop calling).

Press 1 to speak to a representative. Pressed 1 (in the past) to speak to representative and asked why they were calling in violation of DNC list. She, of course, hung up. Press 3 to be removed. Ha Ha.

Make your complaints to the FTC DoNotCall List.

Telemarketers like this scum are sitting in federal prison in Illinois and had a six figure fine.  More calls may well cause prosecution.

The person who owns these #s appears to actually be Stephen Hamilton with a company called PacficTel not the phone company but a scammer telemarketign company. Mr. Hamilton's direct personal # is 310-895-0574 - feel free to call him and harrass him right back. The address associated with PacificTel is 12228 Venice Blfd. #559 Los Angeles CA 90066 - a scummy apartment area in East LA. Called  the 310 number several times and yelled at the a**le; felt good and actually someone answered

Angeles CA 90066. Apparently there have been several compliants filed against this guy before so looks like he is the one. File a complaint with the FCC, the PUC (who governs these autodialers), and your State Attorney General. Fastest way to get this guy shut down

Pacifictel about lowering my interest rates! Press 1 for a representative, press 3 to be removed. How about, since I never signed up for you to call, you just stop calling.

I received an automated call from 206-496-0404 (PACIFICTEL) this PM, wanting me to reduce my credit card rate.  I too am on the national DNC list that Mr. OBUMMER fails to enforce.

You are wasting your time filing a complaint with the FTC (https://www.donotcall.gov), as they will DO NOTHING.  
The best solutions (my opinion);
a.    Intercept the call with caller ID and DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL.
                    OR
b.     Take the call and once you get a human on the line, ask them to ?hang on a sec.?, put down the phone and continue doing your laundry.
                                                                             OR
c.    Take the call and once you get a human on the line; scream your head off into the receiver.

These routines may not stop the calls, but will give you a little laugh

This is great.  I am retired and have time to kill.  I try to keep them on the line as long as possible by asking stupid questions.   They usually hang up on me within a minute or so, but I am getting better at wasting their time.  I actually received 3 calls from them one evening.

They call several times a week.  They don't get the hint that no one is home during the day!  It is ALWAYS my last chance to lower my interest rates.  I wish it really was so they would STOP calling!  I have a recording all the time from them.  I am on the DO NOT CALL registry and yes...it is up to date.  They don't seem to care.
