Caller ID says Pacifictel and leaves no message. Has called before but with a different #, which I had blocked. I'm running out of my 12 allotted blocks.

I just received 3 calls from this number....3, all within a minute of each other. When I answered on the 4th time it was silent and then it disconnected. I am so annoyed. I have my number on the do not call list, I register for that. I do not like telemarketers or solicitors calling me at random times. This was all before 10:20am my time on east coast.

ok first the do not call regitry is now listed for lifetime as of 2008, however there are many loop holes that still allow people to legally call you even if you are in the do not call

-any business or agent of a business you have done business with in the last 18 months can call you
-debt collectors can call you
-any political organization can still call you even if you are registired
-this only applies to home phones, not any number listed as a business number, even if in home

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They insist that they do not initiate illegal telemarketing calls, however they are involved in managing the calling lists for their "3rd party contractors" who make the telemarketing calls.

I got a call from this number today, I picked up it and waited for an answer. After hearing no answer I gave a delayed hello and a few secs later I hear in a female voice what sound like "Your Gonna Die" and the call is dropped.

People forget about the do not call list because its a ffuucckkiinngg joke because it doesnt work except to give the telemarketers more phone numbers to use..

Got a call from the 206-496-0831..was also very unsettling said he giot my number fm some formed I supposedly filled out about furthering my education. Asked me for my birth date and if I had any military affiliation...claimed that the called was being monitored for security purposes...all of a sudden when I started asking questions the computer had suddenly gone down and he (Mitchell Serman) would call me back around 3:00. We'll see!!!

very unsettling when a person calls you by "first" name when you ask who is calling they hang up! I do not know you, I am NOT your friend, do not call me by my first name...in fact DO NOT CALL ME! Like TF said, "SKETCHY(NESS)"

I got a call from them too.  I was told by a cop friend of mine to say I was my local police dept and how could I help them.  That sure worked. I never got another call from them.  Infact, I haven't been getting any more bogus calls as late.  I think they really took me of their list.

Also SpamKing, be careful of those coupon sites, especially groupon.  I hear they were charged with giving out expired coupons and charging people for them.  I real mess.

Received a call from this number.  The man asked for my late husband who has been dead for 4 years.  He said an application for college financing had been sent thru the internet.  No way this could be possible and I told him so.  To his credit, he did seem confused.  If an application went thru the internet, why wasn't it responded to thru the internet?

These people are violating the law by masking their true identity & manipulating the caller ID to display "Pacifictel" I'd suggest everyone file a complaint at FCC.gov for each phone call. Third one down - Telemarketing, Prerecorded Messages, Caller ID Spoofing, and Do-Not-Call
