Being on the Do No Call List or having an unlisted number will not protect you from these credit card and mortgage service scams. They use a robo-dialer that calls every number in existence. For example, in my office, we have four sequential roll-over lines, plus a fax number which shares the same prefix, but is not in sequence with the other numbers. Sometimes, the scammers will used numbers which appear on the caller ID and other times the number will show as a Blocked Call. The first robo-call will come in on the main number, then proceed to the other three in this order: 555-1000, 555-1001, 555-1002 and 555-1003. Then a little later, the fax number will be called, 555-2000. It boggles my mind to think that there is anyone stupid enough to give these scumbags any personal information. But they keep calling and calling, so the scam must be profitable.

Another "card services" scam trying to steal my credit card number.

I also got calls from (Last call on 5/24/12) this number saying they could lower the CC interest rates. I did hung-up the phones and never had a conversation with anybody. Why WA state AG do not take any action against these people/scammers?

constant calls for credit card rate changes asked to not call here again and they never stop, has been going on for 2 years now

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They insist that they do not initiate illegal telemarketing calls, however they are involved in managing the calling lists for their "3rd party contractors" who make the telemarketing calls.

I have filed more that 50 complaints with the FTC however due to the fact that they hide behind spoofed numbers I doubt that they will ever stop any of them. They ask for up front fees and charge your credit card without performing any services.

The guys behind this scam have a slew of corporations, many of them defunct. I searched using the name ?American Debt Negotiators?

and found the name of the Registered Representative was a guy named RAN BARNEA, aca RAN DAVID BARNEA, aca DAVID R BARNEA. He

is also listed as the president of a whole slew of other active corporations. Another guy is DANIEL T. POST. This stuff is all public record.

Just got a call from this number..from "Financial Ctr" pressed one and got a lady, hung up on me when I said I had no debt.

I really just want to know what the point is of being on the DNC registry because I get calls from this number and a whole slug of other annoying telemarketing calls several times a day. Yesterday was a holiday and I got 3 of them. I have no interest in lowering the interest on my credit cards, I don't have a baby, I'm not dying of cancer, etc. And they say if you press a certain number you can have your number removed from their list. No you can't ~ that's just another scam to keep you on the phone longer. What is it going to take to make these callers stop? Are these the only jobs available in the USA anymore? Calling centers that call people and try to scam others?

Rcvd call from this #, was automated at first regarding consolidation of credit card debt (we have NO CC debt) and to press 1 for an operator.  Pressed 1 and before I could finish my sentence to remove my # from their list, was hung up on! Thats ok, because I am on the national do not call registry and promptly reported the number etc to the dnc list!!

I keep getting calls from "Financial CTR" at the 206 496-0920 number.  I called back to have my name removed and they still call back.

Received call on Saturday morning on Memorial Day weekend.  No voice or sound once phone call picked up; then it disconnected.after about 5 seconds of silence.  Phoned the number back. After four rings automated voice says that I have received a call from a commercial entity and that if I want my number to be removed from further calls from this entity that I could press 1 at any time. After pressing 1, the auto message said to please allow 24 hours for this removal request to be processed.  Then it said "Have a nice day."
Received similar calls previously, including the 206 area code listed.  Our number is on the federal DNC list, but we still get these telemarketing calls.

We've been getting unsolicited calls from this "Card Services" outfit, too.  If your phone number is on the Do-Not-Call list, you can file a complaint at donotcall.gov.

Call from this number with a recording said it was CARDMEMBER SERVICES.  I promptly hung up and reported it to do not call.  It is illegal to call on Saturday. and then blocked the number on my phone.

Best money I ever spent in my life!  Forget about the no call list!

I would suggest getting a panasonic phone with call block.  You can add phone numbers to the phone itself, doesn't matter if you have call block from your phone provider.  When they call, I take note of their number and add it to my call block list on my phone.  After adding it to the list  you will no longer even hear the number you have added ring on your end, it also gives them a busy tone when they try to call you again...call doesn't even come through!  I love this phone!!!

"This is your last call..."  Oh how I WISH!!!  Husband answered it today and listened for awhile. I stopped him before he could press any numbers as I know it doesn't stop them- probably encourages them to call again.

I don't understand why they call again and again and again. Somebody is paying these low-lifes, and you'd think they'd target the suckers who actually respond to them instead of those of us who never give in to them.

So... what is THIS site all about, and how can they help us stop the calls?  I see advertising on the page, so I'm guessing they make money off of us when we complain about callers, right?  Are we just getting suckered into wasting our time complaining, while someone else makes money off our misery?

The recorded message before all of this is about how they've already sent me previous notifications and this is my last chance before they close my file. (oddly enough I've had this same call multiple times over the past several months). It appears to be a scam because they want you to owe at least $3000 on credit cards and have one in good standing.  Pressing 1 to speak with a representative gets a not so friendly CSR who will just hang up on you if you are anything but cooperative. (I.E. pointing out that you are on the do not call list, asking too many questions, giving nonsensical answers (Honest I'm phineas phogg and I'm over a hundred years old... My profession is balloonist and I engage in world travel on a regular basis).

I am so sick of these calls.  It always starts off about lowering the rate of your credit card.  So amusing-I don't have a credit card!  That was my clue that it was a scam call.  I have asked to be taken off the call list but still the calls come.  I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST but it does no good.

I am totally fed up with these weirdos.  Can't the phone company or someone do something about these calls and similar types?

   Please, stop scamming, spoofing, phishing, and stealing. Some day, you'll come across an unhappy victim who discovered who you are and might turn your life up-side down.

Angry receipient - I get a call from this number at least twice a week - says it's a credit card company.  I do not have any credit cards!!  NEXT TIME I WILL REPORT IT TO THE FEDS!!

These folks are criminals and thieves ... and there is absolutely no way to get off their list.  Not answering your phone doesn't stop them, yelling at them doesn't stop them.  Figure that I have gotten hundreds of calls that are credit card scams .... and this number is just part of the thieves network.  Usually these folks are pretty nasty if you try to talk to them at all.  Other than blocking LOTS and LOTS of numbers, or ignoring all of the calls .... wasting their time, seems like it might be fun.
