Got a call from this number yesterday morning about 9:30 am, but did not report until today due to a city-wide Internet outage. Caller ID lists "FINANCIAL CTR" as the caller, which I presume is a scammer.

Got a call from this number on Friday 2012-07-13, it only rang once, long enough to get caller ID info, and wake me up at 8:54am. This number is new to the list of constant calls I've been getting lately, but I have seen the caller ID name (FINANCIAL CTR) on another number before, 503-457-1792:
206-496-0931 @ 08:54am - FINANCIAL CTR
I suspect this is part of the same scam organization that has been calling me constantly from a variety of numbers for over three months now, more detail and numbers in my posts here:

7/12/12 5:35PM received a call without a message...no name was indicated on my caller ID. I do not answer calls without an ID and I don't know why this number called me.
Nina 2012-07-13 20:19:10 Prank Call
Received a call at noon from this number, subsequently, I made an online complaint to the Washington State regulators, and the Washington Attorney General. This was the second annoying call this week (got one yesterday, too, but from another number (321-489-9999), not belonging to the Pacific Telecom Communications Group, but to another number/area, and when I googled it, I found a similar blog, indicating that folks were getting calls from it that would not stop, day after day, week after week.)..and I am on the government's "no call" list, so I should not be getting these kinds of telemarketing/prank/harassing calls.

I don't know how these people got my number (unless there is a general shotgun approach-call everybody), but these people didn't identify themselves and wanted my account information so that they could call my bank and get my interest rates lowered. They mentioned they were calling from the east coast even though the number is owned by Pacific Telecom Communications Group which is based in Seattle(?). Could you tell me anything about this organization? thanks for any help you can render.

See the information provided by "JD" above. These are good addresses and phone numbers. Call / email and complain, and please do file complaints with both Washington state entities via the links provided above. I am also on the federal and my state's no call lists. I have nevertheless gotten repeated calls on two landlines and my cell phone, stating that they are "reviewing" my credit cards and that I should Press 1 to lower my interest rate. The calls are not from my own credit card providers; this is a scam to get people to reveal their credit card information. I have repeatedly demanded that the calls stop but to no avail. I have now emailed and called the contacts set out above and have threatened (promised) to sue them in my home state, Texas, if I receive even one more call. Document the calls you receive; I have screen shots of all the calls I have gotten, so I can prove that these numerous calls were made. And get a lawyer. The law provides not only for damages to be paid to you for each illegal phone call, but also a requirement that they pay your attorney fees in addition to paying monetary damages directly to you. As a result, it will not be hard to find an attorney to take your case. Do it. Do it for yourself and everyone else these people are torturing on a daily basis. We have got to take this into our own hands, and sue-sue-sue-sue-sue them until they get it. Do it! Do it Now! Power to the people! Fight the Man! Freedom now!

This company calls me I believe to find out when I answer the phone. Several days after these calls, I get telephone solicitation which I do not want.

Called by this number today: ID showed "Financial Center." Post of July 11 2012 interesting - called by number 206-496-0978 3 days previously. Last two digits different. Caller ID showed "Student Loan Help." Both times did not answer. Both times caller hung up.

Card Services - Reported them to FCC for what little good it does. I block and report these calls all the time. Makes me think about giving up the telephone. My blood pressure would go down a lot.

Tell these A-holes to stop calling me.
Em 2012-07-12 18:42:37 Unknown
Answer the phone and but when no one responds. immediately start hitting your # button on the phone 6 or 7 times as quickly as possible. This is suppose to confuse the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number of their system.
Jeff 2012-07-12 17:52:09 Unknown
Its some "card services" scam to get you to use them to lower your rate or they will close your credit card acct. Total BS. I called my bank to see if any prob with my card and they said no, asked them if they had anyone call me about it, they said no if there was anything, THEY would contact m directly from the bank. This phone number is a SCAM DO NOT do anything except hang up when they start the recorded voice.
