I'm in the UK and traced 001206 508 405, the number listed on call-back. No message left.
The number has called several times today
Very surprised at the mention of Amazon as I have quite deliberately not purchased anything from Amazon for at least 4-5 yrs. Curious

I got a call from this number about four times. When I finally answered there was no one there?!
I did send an e-mail to Audible.com support earlier today. Could it be them calling?
Anyway, I am not going to answers it again.

It is not amazon, calls twice every time. Calls in the middle of the night sometimes. They ask for your info but the funny thing is I have never shopped on amazon. Fraud, don't answer.

206-508-5051 is amazon support not a Hoax or anything a very helpful number

I believe it was an Amazon Support person calling back (probably a Call Center) as I had called their No. and waited for awhile and then hung up. This call back went to my Voice Mail but all I heard was a little breathing. They didn't Identify themselves. I never answer calls from unfamiliar numbers

It was Amazon.com asking us if we made a $775.00 charge. We didn't. They told us to call the credit card company. Someone was trying to fraudulently charge on our account.

206-508-4051 called me and said that they wanted to help me with an issue I was having with AT&T, that they were AT&T Support for my cellular account. Other folks on this site are saying the number is for Amazon and Target support techs, so this is three company names they are saying they belong to. GEESH.

Immediately after I placed an Amazon order , I received 2 calls from this number. Neither left a voicemail and since I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, I cannot be sure that it was from Amazon. I attempted to call them back and the number was constantly busy. Kinda fishy? Why would a company such as Amazon have a number that is busy? It should be a menu or an operator since I would think that they have more than one extension.

It is Amazon, the call I got was about seller support. I had just given them my new number 2 days ago. There would be no way for anyone to get that number easily, plus know my Amazon account name. There are some very paranoid people here.

I received a fraud charge on my credit card from yoyo.com. I called the company to let them know to cancel the order because I didn't place it. They said they would put it on hold and not process the card (caught it before it shipping). Later that evening, I get a call from this # asking for me by name. They asked if I had put through a fraud report on my yoyo order and stated the amount, which was completely the wrong amount. I then asked if he was the one that stole my card and said this new charge wouldn't go through since I already cancelled my card. Also, when I called yoyo originally, it was not on my cell and yoyo said my name wasn't on the order. Obviously this is a FRAUD call. I confirmed with yoyo.com's customer service and they said they had already reversed the transaction and no one from their fraud department would have called me!

I received a call from this number and it was NOT fraudulent. They were calling to confirm I had placed a recent order on Amazon.com. I had not. I checked my account while on the phone with the caller, and indeed my account had been compromised.

This is definitely an Amazon Customer Serviced number. I ordered a camera lens from them online and this guy called about an hour later to verify my order before sending it along to shipping.

This is one of Amazon's customer service lines. I places an order for a high dollar gift card and they used this number to confirm that it was me who placed the order.
It seems that this number is used when they call from their Indian call center, as the customer service representative had a strong accent.

This is Amazon. On their site in the help section when you choose to talk to them on the phone, they ask you to enter a phone number and their system calls you instantly right then. You could easily get a call from this number by mistake if someone entered their phone number wrong and put yours in by mistake. I literally just got off the phone with Amazon's customer service and this is the number they called me from.

No it is NOT a "fraudster" , it is the company that is outsourced by Amazon customer service as well as by Target.
Most f the callers speak English poorly as they are from India.
It is follow up from Amazon or Target returns and when they have every single digit of the order that you returnd the date you purchased the item through Amazon or Target and even moe personal information such as your credit card numbers and address, and they have already returned your money , and all they want is to know if you were satisfied and if you have a complaint with one of their venders.
Get a grip, every call is not fraudulent.
Don't be a fear monger if you didn't do the damned research.

I called Amazon this morning because there was a fraudulent charge on my credit card from them. They called from this number later in the day to confirm that the transaction had been cancelled. Given the number of posts that say its not legit, maybe scammers are spoofing this number, too, but the call I got was definitely Amazon, they did not request any confidential info from me, and told me I would get a confirmation email from them that the charge was being corrected -- I did get that email, which was also legit, within 5 minutes after that call.

This number has no affiliation to Amazon

This is not Amazon. I contacted them directly about it and was told that no call attempts were made on my account and they only call if it's requested or if there is a large item that needs to be scheduled with an appointment for delivery. Ignore, do not give out information.

This is NOT Amazon. As someone else mentioned, just log on to your account and live chat with an Amazon customer representative for confirmation. I did this and was told: "We never call a customer until customer demands it. I would request you to ignore or don't share your details with them." Definitely a scam.

I 100% agree with this... I sent Audible.com (through Amazon) and email this morning asking a question and this number called me back, left me a lengthy message about my email and gave me a return number to call their call center back for further help. Legit!

This number called me this morning telling me that they just bought a computer on my credit card ####. I called the credit card company and guess what? I closed the account.
| Lane 2013-08-29 14:57:46 Unknown |
It was a call from Amazon checking to see if a suspicious order placed from my account was accurate. It was not, so they cancelled the order and reset my password. Glad I answered!

When I receive transferred calls to my cell phone from my answering service (that's how I have it set up), this is the tel # that pops up on my Caller-ID. I just figure it's the main/central tel # from my Portland, Oregon based answering-svc company (even tho' it is a Washingon State area code). Nothing to do with Amazon.com

Got a call from 206-508-4051. Referred to my lawyer.
| SlumGullion 2013-08-07 17:05:07 Unknown |
It is an Amazon customer service number. You send them your phone number and this is the number that shows up when they call you back.

Yes, it is.
