I received a call from Officer Michael Scott, November 1-8, 2012.  He insists that I owe for a PayDay loan from 2009.  He informed me that I would be escorted off my job in handcuffs and taken to jail.  I replied "Come Get Me" , he called my out of my name B&*#@ and hung-up the telephone.  He is constantly calling my place of employment on a daily basis.  I repoted him to the Agency Security Officer today.

he didn't say who he worked for but that Officer Michael Scott with a Muslim/India accent said if I didn't call him back to take care of this matter I will have to appear in court and will be having the police pick me up at work.

I just had the same call from Officer Michael Scott, he left a message that if I fail to return his call then I will have leagle issues  and the police after me.  and good luck.  Really wish there was a way to stop these type of calls!  so Happy for this web page so I don't have the extra stress and know that if I see that number next time I can use a blow horn to answer the phone with or state that he called the FBI see how fast he hangs up then.

I got the same call today same name and same type of issue..I applied for a online loan a month ago but never got it didn't have atleast a dollar in my bank..I have my bank statement that I never received money..but he insisted I did and has my social and everything I feel dumb I gave my info online but it said it was secured site..but I think its a scam or somthin of that nature

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I received a call from officer Michael Scott Badge # 5202.  I looked up the phone number and found that it was located in Vashon Wa.  I tried to call their police department three times & no answers about this matter.  I then tried to call Vashon King Couunty Sheriff's Office numberous times & got no answers.  This man would not tell me what company he worked for just wanted money.  He then stated that the police would be picking me up.  He left a voice mail on my phone at 11:30  on 10/9/2012 which I have it recorded.  My local police department has advised me to file harassment charges against this individual.  I think this is a scam when the person is very deceptive.  Be Careful My Friends!

This officer micheal scott on the web is a white officer that had been wonded.and as well as other charges with the same name as well as 260 567 3605 is a verizion phone number.after calling the company call the number and itll give a recording that they are no longer there.as well call the police and find out what to do.many companies say get your money back if you gave any.also give the police any info. You think its a scam like for example you seen the same name on the web stating thet the info may be the source to whom they might be using.i told the poilice ive seen the same info.that whom was calling me and the poilice said it could be more than what there calling you about .and that you need to tell them your aware of this scam and that the poilice were notified.as well as any names they give you.sometimes theyll put yuo to three other names then try to tell you that some company bas a legal case on you.the sad part is the laungage is very hard to listen to and the sounds in the backround are very poor.and sometimes yhey mumble.i had to talk so loud my nose hurt.and keep saiing im sorry I cant understand you.them some say give a wrong credit card number and wait until they call back to have a poilce officer talk to them for explanation.others say get the news to call and air it .its very fearful to have this done and not being able to understand what ther saiing.but when you admit you dont know and that they admit you dont need to know then thats a big problem.and when you ask the operator what number is this and they tell you its from staples.thats like really sad.and if you fax them and it dosnt work due to its a fax machine in new yorks staples.and its a non faxable number.

I got this call from micheal scott officer and said jme financia marketing company and that today at four they are taking me to court.for six thousand and if I settel out of court it would be eight hundered .he said I dont need to know and this company gave him this case and on his own gave me a call to allow me yhe chance to do something.then at four today there going to have police and lawerys outside my front door.i said I will talk to the company and have them call him back.or if they would allow me to call him  back.he said no and hung up on me.he said they are not legally able to allow me information .

I am sooo relieved that I research this before moving further with this guy, Officer Michael Scoot! Same story my way, except, the complany is GME marketing that I owe! He would not give me any information regarding the creditor that I owe, or reason for why I was sending money via Western Union. I told him I spoke to my lawyer about the matter anf informed him I was under the "impression that this is a SCAM". He kept pressing the issue that this was a "legal matter" and that the calls were being recorded. I kept telling him to send documentation and I'd get back with, he got mad and hung up on me! He keeps calling me though...hoping Ill give in to the pressures of "potentially being arrested, as this is a legal matter".

I got the same phone call yesterday from Michael Scott.  He claim that I was going to be arrested today if I do not make a payment with them or some kind of payment arragement.  When I asked for the company came and number he got very upset and hung up on me!  No one hangs up on me so I called back and he hung up again.  So, I call the so called company that he worked for and the rep I spoke with said a Michael Scott has never worked with their company and that there company was not a collection agency, they do financial cousenling.  They only have one head quaters that is in NJ not in WA and when I type there number in I found a list of different scams coming from that number!

i got the same call today from the same man im starting to believe this is some kind of scam to send them some money.

They claim that I had money laundering charges and credit card fraud on my account that I just open about 8 months ago.  The guy also said that is name was Micheal Scott when I started asking question and call my bank to see what was going on he became very hustle and hung up on me twice. Shouting the cops will be showing up on my door steps to issue a warrent for my arrest.

lol.....i have been screwing with this guy since he tried the scam on me. i call him three or 4 times a day using proxy servers......lol.......he offered me 200.00 to leave him alone!!!!

Wanted to do an update......it has been over a week and I'm still gainfully employed with no visit from the sheriff's office.....I'm tempted to call them back so I can laugh at them some more!

I didn't get the name of the person who called but his accent was so thick and he was clamoring on about some legal matter.....I asked him what the legal matter was about and he would not tell me....He said he would discuss everything latter in the call....I refused to let him have the upper hand.....So then he proceeded to rattle off an old address that I haven't lived at for over 2 years now....which got me laughing....this made him mad...he then rattled off my SS#....which kinda shocked me....but with today's technology not a surprise...He said this was no laughing matter and that if I did not listen to him I would be escorted from my home the next morning....which made me laugh more since I don't live there....He did say he was with the Washington State Paralegal Dept.....which I was looking up on the internet and he was telling me how I was going to loose my job the next day.....and my securities have the site flagged as a harmful site.....I proceeded to tell him that obviously he did not know how things here in the states work, because first I would have to be served with documents from the courts before I would be thrown in jail for anything....I do have some old debts out there....but I have been paying on them and in contact with the companies in question.....So I knew they had nothing....The guy eventually hung up on me....It was kinda fun getting his gander up though...

I just got the same phone call. I asked them who I owe so I could call them. Mr. Michael Scott doesn't even know who I owe money to. He wanted the payment in cash too...so my question is "Is this a scam?"

Its a scam. I called the police department and gave them tge tele nber he called fron claiming to be on the force. I asked for badge number and he said you dont need that. GET A LIFE YOU FILTHY SCUM BAG.

I just recieved a call from these guys saying that it was a very important legal matter and that I needed to call them back.  Apparently they have access to files that they shouldn't have because they called my house phone.  His name was mr. Michael Scott but he was obviously of Indian descent, this man said that I had money laundering charges against me in an account from 2011 that I just set up two months ago.  How would money have been deposited in an account that didnt exist in 2011.  And when I confronted him about it he hung up the phone,  after he said that the cops would be showing up on my doorstep, well good luck with the because it is impossible to be arrested for a crime that was never even committed.

got cal from a officer michael scott about a legal matter.  also had last 4 digits of my social security numer and my address.  threatened to show up atmy door if i didn't call them back.  no one better show up i will have them arrested for trespassing.  my elderly mother lives with me and she doesn't understand this scam s*** and will freak out if some one shows uplooking for me.

A "Officer Michael Scott" called us and gave the last 4 digits of my SS#, saying he had a very important legal matter that needed immediate attention.  I had gotten a call similar to this before.  He called a friend of mine, who gave him my number (I don't know how he would have gotten her number).  Her number is 360-773-9260.  My number is 971-221-3045.
