its a land line in seattle washington. unfortunately thats all the info i can get. just ignore the calls.

I've been getting several calls a day from this number for almost a week now.  I was looking into switching my insurance and inquired online with Nationwide - had to give my phone number.  It may have nothing to do with this, but the calls started coming in the next day from this number.

I got a call from this number & when I tried to call it back all I got was a busy signal

I've received a few calls from this number. Today I answered it. They told me I had registered with them (I can't remember who they said they were) online on June 27th. I told them I don't think I did as I couldn't remember it and was told that he sometimes forgot things he did, too. He told me I won a $1,000 shopping spree online with no catches. He asked my age and profession (he did know my first name) and as I am currently unemployed he asked my husbands profession. Then told me I would also get 60 months worth of magazines, such as Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal, etc., for free and if I didn't want those I could get others. Ah, here's the catch... Duh! I told him I don't read magazines, he said alright and then hung up. I will report them to the Do Not Call Registry.

fortunately,  i have a block feature on my cell
but i was registering for a free iphone and half way through it decided, it looked bogus and regret signing up..now i am a victim/.

I have the same thing, but I think it's a "collection agency" or watever

this number is calling me everyday and they asak  for some information about my credit card and i didnt give them any but they are calling me again.

i also get these calls, when i call back, busy signal. who r they?H4U7

same thing with me and they wanted my credit card info to bill the shipping for some free magazines I won and when I wouldn't give them my information they got difficult with me.  At first I asked, "can I give you a call back?" and they said yes but then they kept insisting that I trust them that they are a reliable company and insisting that I give them my credit card number and when I wouldn't I asked again and then the guy said I can't call them back because their system wont allow incomming calls.  Sounds like a SCAM!

Want to know how to deal with this kind of stuff?
Buy a whistle, the kind they use for sports like football or soccer.  The next time they call and give you a hard time, blow the whistle into the phone!!!!

I think it does have to do with an online sweepstake or gift card of some sort.  They called once today around 11:30.  I put them on my block call list, so they will never get through.  My phone will totally ignore the call.  According to what others have posted I am sure to get another call tomorrow.

Just started getting the calls today. Tried calling it back just a busy signal. I think its from signing up on line for something. I started to but didnt finish but I did put my cell number in.

Also received call. They wanted know where I worked and my birthday. Then told me I won a $1000 gift card but needed to pay the first payment of 20 payments on 5 year mag. subscription. Total of payments would equal $1000. Did search on line can only find it's coming from Richmond Beach, Washington without paying for more info.

Received solicitation from idiot rep at this number , who hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor!

I keep getting this call from 206-629-7356 every day around 11:30 AM. It is starting to get annoying.. I just filed a complaint with donotcall.gov.

I just got a call from this number at 11:33 am. When I call back, it just automatically disconnects the call. Anyone know who it is?

Called asking for "Pat".  When I replied that I did not know a Pat and would like to know how they got my phone number they hung up on me mid sentence.

Also, I never fill out any surveys, forms, whatever online so I guess this is just a service that dials numbers randomly.

Those online forms are designed to capture information you have entered even if you never "Submit" the form.

Tips to protect yourself  - Before you start filling out forms
1) Read the terms and conditions - this is where they tell you about negative option contracts and monthly charges.   This is what you agree to whenever you SUBMIT info online regardless of whether you read them or not.    So it is imperative you read them first!  

Scammers count on the CONSUMER NOT READING the terms and conditions!  

2) Read the Privacy Policy - this is where they tell you that they SELL/SHARE your info with others - this includes credit/debit cards.

I've been getting this same phone number, plus other randoms.. By chance, did any of you start filling out the online Target gift card sweepstakes? I started it, but then cancelled once it started asking more info that seemed fishy... That's all I can think of, because these calls have started suddenly...

They have called me twice now, both times they ask for me and then they say "im calling long distance from "Publishers", can you hear me ok? and both times i have just hung up. How do I get them to stop calling me....two different numbers both times. argh!

recovering from a lengthy illness these calls are very annoying and interruptive.

They use autodialers that dial more numbers then they have staff to deal with.

example - the autodialer may dial 50 numbers at once and they only have staff available to deal with the first 10 calls that get answered.  40 calls get dropped.

these calls should be reported to Ftc.gov and donotcall.gov

what is this number?  why does someone keep calling all these phone numbers and hanging up?  I'm in Illinois.
