The same man with the accent called me for the second time today at work claiming that I have a law suite also....wth

Same thing here. Call from 206-629-9395, 617-531-2612 Lee Jordan, Dan Wilson with Indian accent & call non stop & leave the same exact message. I repeatedly called the 617# back & asked for info & the guy would just say ok & hang up on me or just sit their & say nothing & after 20 calls of me cussing him out I am automatically transferred to Ext. 2034 which is voice mail. This is a call center & these people r driving me nuts. I doubt anything can be done to stop these people either but maybe we will all get lucky! Good luck everyone. Forest or First State Attorney office they say.

I received a call from man with thick middle eastern accent informing me about a apart law suit against me. They asked for my attorneys info plus my Ssn. I refused both until they told me who they represented and what it was all about. Try told me
I was contacted by a law enforcement agency and that I already knew what it was about. That's complete bs and I got mad so he hung up. Tried calling back a number of times and it just goes to a full voicemail. I called the FBI promptly after and told them everything. They said it was definetly a scam. Don't give them any info!!!

i received a call from this number saying they were going to sue me for not paying back a loan that i never applied for.i have no idea how they got my number or any of the information that they do have.

Samething happen here..I live outside of Philadelphia and I got a phone call about 20 mins ago telling me I have a lawsuit against me. I asked for what and of course he could not answer. He said his name was Mike White...YEAH ok he barely spoke English. Thanks to this website I found out it was a scam. What shold I do next ?

Anita, I'm not 100%, but lawyers don't call to get collections of money owed.  If you're going to court, it is filed with the courts, you're sent a supena advicing of the set court date, the person(s) filing suit, and adviced that you can handle the case before the date. NOT a lawyer's office, but the municipal court. I would explain further, but I don't wanna help scammers get better.  
My advice is that you do a internet search of the so-called lawyer, number, and if mail sent to you, the name of the company.  You'll most likely to learn the truth of the situation.

By the way.  I recently applied on line to various companies to compare rates for an auto loan.  To the people they called,; have you applied on line for loans, payday loans, mortgage loans or entered your information online?  Have these nuts actually told you your number or as they did me, simply state they knew it?  I believe one of the companies I gave info to, minus not Soc.Sec# info may have been their pulling pool.

I just got a phone call from these f**ks stating that I was being sued by Advanced Payday Loans. I asked for a manager since I could not understand the person speaking. I was put on hold 3 seconds. Another middle easterner came on telling me this was a law office (still with background of a crowded room of operators or something in the background). I asked what state he calling from. Cal. although ID caller said Seattle, WA. Asked if I had a lawyer because I was being sued (IN CRIMINAL COURT!!!!) for non-payment on a loan, but they are calling to keep me from the costly expense of going to court "this Friday".  I didn't need to question about why my name AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER were named in this suit.  You're not sued in criminal court.  I simply told them to send my the information they have and I'll take it to my lawyer tomorrow when we meet for lunch.  He got irate, and began telling me of all the evidence they have against me. (Soc Sec#, routing, bank acc., address), blah, blah, blah.  I simply told him  to put it together send it to me. "You have my address right?" To that he said they only have the case number and my social, then went on to scream about how he will supena my job and bank.... I let him know I have nothing else to say. Send the paperwork to me and we'll take it from there and hung up.  
10 minutes later I called back to have the same middle eaterner answer the phone as if it was a home.  I kindly let him know that I just got a call from the number and my local police were tracing the line to pinpoint the location. He quickly hung up.  Strangely, the number doesn't even ring now.

Same scenario with all above and thye called with the name of Dan Wilson Attny office. Asked to speak to me, then he csalled right back and got one of my co workers. Then he demanded to speak to a Supv, I advised him this was a personal matter, and that he can't call here. I would be reporting him to the Attny Gen office, he hung up. Well I got his number and I am going to call him for a few more times. They will not get a dime from me, I want to see proof in writing , certified actually. These damn 3rd party collectors, some old debt I had and now it has been bought by some other party..idiot!!!!

I just got a call from 2066299395.  I couldn't understand anything so I hung up and called back only to find out that Mike and Marcus had left for the day.  They said I owed money from a Visa check card for Cash Advance.  I informed he I didn't and not to call my phone again.  I will be calling the Attorney Generals office.

Got  5 calls in a row on my cell and 2 on my work number demanding I give them my information or i was going to be picked up by the cops!  Well low and behold all calls ceased when i asked for the information to give to my attorney myself and that we would be contacting the FBI concerning this scam!  I called them back several times asking for Michael Brown then Danny Dawns....do they honestly think people are not going to check them out?  I never spoke to either one which turns out to be the same person (who would have guessed).  I just may call back a couple more times to let harass them like they have US!  Be safe out there these are up to no good.

Who do you even report these people to? I just started receiving these same calls from "Barry Williams" and voice mails on my cell and at my job!! Very heavy accent and a threat of "Good Luck if you dont reply!" Is the a section in government that I can report them too?? I def don't owe them or anyone any money so I know this is a scam. I recently applied and was pre-approved for a car loan but ended up deciding to wait to purchase the vehicle. Could that finance company have sold my information to these scam artists?

I am so glad I found this web site as I have the same thing, man by the name of Roger Brown with a heavy, unintelligible accent.   The message said that it was time sensitive, myself or my attorney of record should call the "second I got the message" and if I didn't act they have no other "recourse than to wish me luck and God Bless Me."   Haven't received any registered mail etc indicating I have a legal matter....I am going to block them, figure if it IS all that important, a registered letter will be sent.

These people have been calling my mother and harassing her as well. The best thing to do is have fun with them and make them mad. I was (while pretending to be my mother) calm during the whole conversation and made him extremely upset when I started copying his accent. He told me he couldnt understand a word I was saying and I found that extremely funny. They can not really do anything to you so just block them or harass them back. They really hate it when you start listing off that debts are a matter of public record.

Travis Walker told me that he was sending the sheriff's office to my place of unemployment to let my supervisor know I was being served a supena for not paying EZ cash back..I never got a loan in the first place. He said if I send him a photo-copy of my drivers license and pre paid visa card information in the amount of 352.32 I could settle the debt. He even had the balls to tell me not to interupt him while he was talking...WTH?Its okay cause Im about to get menapausal on his crooked a**. I told him all of these pay day loan companies are some shady a** people, why would I want to do business with them?

I just got the same call from 2066299395 stating that they were going to have the sherriffs department serve me a supena through my supervisor at work unless I fax them a copy of my drivers license, and pre paid visa card information for a total of 352.00. He stated he pulled my report and that since I am not a habitual offender and I pay the 352.00 the state attorneys office will not press charges. He said his name was Travis Walker.

Did the police give you any help what so ever?

I have also been receiving the same message from the same number with a person who can hardly speak english. I called the attorney general of my state and gave all information to them. I am not so niave to believe they will actually stop this stuff, but at least I followed through correct channels. I have NEVER used a payday loan company and I think I made the man angry when I laughed. I am a law student and asked him all types of information and proceeded to let him know I was a law student and there was no law protecting the name of an attorney, when they are "supposedly" suing me. He hung up, hopefully they will leave me alone because they have harassed me at work and at school. Next time I will just give the phone to my mentor, an attorney of 20 years, and let him see what he thinks.

Someone with a thick (indian) accent keeps calling me claiming there's a lawsuit against me that I know for a FACT doesn't exist. He keeps insisting that I give him my personal information to verify my idenity and information on my attorney. When I ask him about the nature of the matter and send me information regarding the issue via mail and/or fax; he claims it's a legal matter and can't send me any verifiable proof. Does he really take me for a fool? Anyone with common sense and a little bit of life experience in the US knows that any legitimate legal suit is of public record. Moreover, it can also be sent through the mail and/or fax. Furthermore, the company or firm he claims to represent doesn't even exist. I BING & GOOGLED it and nothing came up under www.firststateattorney.com. How can I get them to stop calling me?

Just rec'd a call from this number wishing me good luck if I do not call them back. I was so annoyed so I googled the number and came across this website. Thanks for the good info. Now I know not to answer the calls. What a jack a**...mr jack wilson

Just got a call today from a MArk WIlliams, representing the Legal Dept. for Cash Advance USA. I have to admit until I read this I was very nervous. He told me I needed to repay $1500 for a loan I received on a pre paid card for the amount of $785. He told me I was being sued and had to appear in the superior court in New York City on September 25th. He had my ss# and banking #'s.

Got the same call! Can't understand s*** he's saying! Just a f****ng scam! Thanks 2 a friend for seeing it for me! Saying I'm being charged with theft by dec. or some s***!!!!!!

Got 3 calls today, Saturday, beginning at 7:00am.  This heavy middle eastern or African accent guy named Jack Wilson (LOL) left me 3 threatening messages that I or my attorney had to call back because of a time sensitive matter.  The situation was unfolding on me (what?)  He also said don't disregard this message wishing me good luck and to take care.  I already called the police and made a report.  Thank God for caller ID.  I will never answer their calls.

I got the same call and they told me that they were calling from attorney's Office.  They did not even know how to pronounce my name idiots!!  They claim that I owe money to USA Cash Advance. and that I hacked the USA Cash Advance Wedsite.  How stupid is this.  I work for a government agency and our computer system is being monitored by the Supreme Court.  Well anyways, they claim that they have my IP address.  I had filed a police report previously back in May 2011 and another one in June 2011.  I had to contact our local County Attorney and was given advise to contact the Attorney's General's Office which I did and was given the number to report these scam calls.  We googled the numbers and that is when we read all these comments.  Anyways.  Reports have been filed.  Good thing is that they did not get any money from me. Someone needs to put a stop to these people.

I have recieved phone calls from this number as well as a few others. Two of the numbers that I called back said they were disconnected.I am a single mother who works very hard for my children and if these people think I am going to roll over and play dead they'd better think again.It is scary that they have all of my personal info, but I have allerted my financial institions and unusual activity will instantly be reported to me. They also suggested that I close out all of my accounts and open new ones so these indivduals no longer have my account info.also if I do conduct any business online I will no longer put any info out there. I will use a secure pay pal account. Here in about fifteen minutes I will be up at the local police department to file a report.It's a bit inconvient to have to stop all of my autopay but worth it.I was also informed that I need to contact the better business bureeau
