Showed Transcom Enhancment on caller ID this morning, yesterday it was unknown

Ok a asked some questions to some asterisk buddies and someone is going thru JC's asterisk (never dawned on me) how ever they make that # show not sure. but i learned something tonight... now to get their ip#

That # just been calling for 5 days all the sudden on my C-Net Asterisk #... No bill collector should ever call that # and couldnt ever figure out how to... I definitely wouldnt answer to that #

This number called asking for our owner by name, when I said he was unavailable (as he usually is), they asked for his mobile. I said I'm not allowed to give that out, but would be more than willing to take a message and have our owner call him back. When I said that he huffed and puffed "have him call my secretary I guess." I tried to get that phone number and he said nevermind, I need his mobile. This went on for a good 8 minutes until I firmly said "Sir, you will not be getting anyone's mobile." He started yelling at his "secretary," "MARY COME HERE, NOW, MARRRRYYYY! NOW NOW NOW! I'm trying to close a deal get over here, this is important, noww! RIGHT NOW! No that folder, don't be stupid! NOW!" I politely said to him "Sir, if you are going to be rude I will have to hang up." He hung up. SCAM!

Been getting calls from them the past 4 days, it's a scam.  I didn't answer till 5 days into it.  The Indian person on the line with the tech shop noise background claimed to be from Microsoft and there is an urgent matter with my computer.  Yeah, right....

Asked to be taken off the database and he said this was the 1st time he called and we desperately need his technical help.  I hung up, from other posts they want your credit card and possibility a remote logon to your PC.  DON"T ANSWER THE PHONE !!!

206-682-0185 called me this morning at 6:26 am. When I answered you hung up. This is some kind of scam and/or phishing scheme.

I got a call from this number and the person was speaking some form of Asain in which I said I couldn't understand. Then they paused and I could hear background noise and they just hung up.

Recorded message saying to push "1" regarding credit card.  Pushed "1" to get on do not call list.  Male person who answered asked if I owe $2,000 or more on credit card.  When I asked how to get on the do not call list he said "F___ing idiot" and hung up.

A neighbor called me from his mobile phone, the number showed up on my ipkall sip account as this 203380185, so, it is not a spam call it is just the trunk that the call routes through to be forwarded onto your ipkall number, the call showed up in my GV missed calls as the correct number from the caller. No need for alarm on this #, it is just the trunk CID. only when getting the call through the ipkall trunks..

Man calls saying get me the presidents office.. Over and over again. Get me the presidents office.  Calls over and over.  Won't say why he is calling, and repeats get the Presidents office.

HACKER ALERT!  Fellow with accent said he was from IT dept of Windows and my computer had a virus he wanted to give me directions to fix (ha!).   I asked for a call back number and he gave me a 315 phone number that belongs to a business in upstate NY.  When I called back this number on my CID, the line was busy.

Have received several phone calls from this number,  apparently from a boiler room.  The caller ID shows "Transcom Enhancement."  The caller is a male with a heavy accent - sounds Korean or Chinese..  They claim to be from "Technical service department" calling about a computer. The latest call was at 8 am this morning, a Sunday.  I usually just hang up when I receive this sort of call, but this morning I told the caller very loudly YOU DO NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION TO CALL THIS NUMBER.  DO NOT CALL AGAIN.  Then I added the number to my "block this number" list, which is always at max capacity with these kinds of numbers.

This number is used by several services for making outbound "local" calls in support of any internet-originated service.  I am on a conference call "from" this phone number as I type.  I joined a Webex conference for a work-related meeting.  The Webex "Audio" pop-up offered to call any number I entered and join me to the conference.  I entered my desk phone to Webex and not 5 seconds later I got a call from 206-682-0185.  I answered and the Webex service had me press 1 to confirm that I asked to join the conference, then allowed me to say my name to be announced on the conference bridge, then joined me to the bridge.

In other words, this number was used for something I chose to use, in this case Webex, a world-wide internet conference hosting service used by thousands of companies including my own employer, a worldwide warehouse retailer based in Issaquah.

So many posts here speak of different sources, from a dentist to a debt collector and beyond.  Each of them is using some computer-based/internet-based service to make calls.  When the caller enters a number to call, the service looks for one of these "local outbound" numbers from which to make the call.  This number does not belong to the person placing the call, but to the "internet phone service" that they use to place the call.  For me today that is Webex.  Someone else might be using Google Voice, and another might be using Skype.  Some company owns the phone number and allows its customers, Webex or Google or Skype or others, to use that number.

This is the future of the internet-based calls, from anyone to anyone else.  Reporting this number as a debt collector is like saying that because the ambulance came in from First Street then First Street must belong to the ambulance, while someone else says because the UPS truck came in from First Street then First Street must belong to UPS.  First Street is a common road used by all, and so is this number.

Sucks when it comes to listing "who called me" because that number, as the comments here obviously indicate, is used by many different businesses.

I just received a call from 206-682-0185 and caller ID shows  Transcom Enhanc.  A woman with an East Indian accent asked if I was aware that my computer was not receiving Microsoft updates?  I told her my computer was just fine thank you and I hung up!

Call from Transcam Enhanced 206 682 0185. Caller had heavy Indian accent and said he was an IT person for them. He said that my Windoze computer was calling their server and sending error messages.

I asked him for my IP address and he gave me a LAN address (192.0.0.0) and not a WAN address so I knew that he was lying. I told him that Windoze was hardly capable of doing anything even with someone helping it and that I only owned networked Macs.

He hung up right away. Kind of like Windows does just when you need it the most.

It's been over 10 years since I gave up on Windoze and I have never regretted it.

Yet another "Microsoft Windows tech support" fraud. I do enjoy mocking them, though, the silly morons. Thick Indian accent, halting familiarity with the language, and the complete lack of clue just warms my heart.

This dude was so stupid that when I told him I only used Mac, he didn't get it.  Six calls in the first two days of Oct.  I guess the labor in India is so cheap that they think if they call more I will need their help.  Whoa it is annoying.  The caller ID is always the same-Transcam Enhanc.

When I looked at my caller id, there was no area code before the phone number of 682-0185, but it does show Transcom Enhanc on the company label for the caller id. I actually answered the phone since it was in the early afternoon, and the person who called went into a computer security sales pitch. I actually asked him if he was a telemarketer but he refused to answer, instead he still went on with his pitch. I then told him that my phone number was on the Do Not Call Registry, and that's when he started swearing at me before threatening to come to my home to shoot me. The guy sounded like he was either Middle Eastern, or possibly from India. I even asked to speak to his supervisor before he hung up on me.

This caller came onto a private coaching call. Have no idea who it was or how they got in...

The caller with an East Indian accent said I had a virus on my computer and wanted me to go to my computer to fix it.  I said I don't respond to unsolicited calls to "fix" my computer and hung up.

Just got a call from 206-682-0185.  Man said that there is something wrong with my computer system, it is running at a high risk and that he needed me to turn it on.  I hung up.

Received this call this morning.  I told him I knew this was a scam call and he started mocking me.  Then he said he would call me tomorrow.  What an a**. Definitely reporting this number. OH by the way he said he was callling regarding my computer... said something was wrong with it.  What a loser.

I got a call at 2:11 a.m.  Scared me to death because I was sure the call was about my Mom who lives in assisted living.  Couldn't get back to sleep.  So frustrating.

Just another number used by the scum scammers.  Have it blocked, but still they try to get through periodically.  Eventually, they shall move onto using another set of numbers.  They have been operating for years ... and there is NOTHING stopping them from constantly harassing folks

This guy sounded like he was from India, left a message about winning a prize.  I was bored, called him back at 217-615-8508.  He said his name is Michael Johnson and he said that had won $350,000 in a sweepstakes.  I knew I never entered one and played along.  He wanted me to Western Union him $500 to secure the delivery of my winning check.  It was be sent to Roland Aiiken in Brooklyn NY.  He keeps calling me frantically.  HAHAHA  This might be a great bit of fun!!

Number traced by Comcast after anonymous call.Now is associated with a "You have won a contest"  scam where they want to charge your credit card to "insure" part of the prize until it can supposedly be delivered.

2 calls, same day:    Call-1: originated from 206-682-0185 (spoof caller ID: 509-315-3657) with options 1 to speak and 8 opt-out. He is Gary Lovlais, says he is a consultant for Google from Go Site Local (phony website: "Go Site Mobile") The caller ID number is Dr. Scott, dentist, Spokane, a discounted ph#, direct number is (509) 473-0051 and his assistant likes to use a speakerphone beware.        Call-2: originated from 206-682-0185 (spoof caller ID: 360-252-9304) options 1 to speak and 8 opt-out. This guy is a password stealer as he talks about Google listings and promises to help if he can get your name and password for Google Map listings. His location: 400 Pine St Ste 367, Seattle, WA 98101 (matches number above). Call is labeled "unknown" because he talks in circles. he keeps saying he is not selling anything and is only helping but really is not. He is gathering information. Not an illegal call as he is calling people to talk and nothing else. IF he takes info and does something unauthorized, that is illegal.
