Had the same call. Phone said it was from warwick hotel-s . Told the guy to prove the debt was mine and to fax the settlement dock. to me. ( I gave the fax number of my lawyer after call him first). They never sent a thing. He said it could be a scam so watch out!!
They have done this to me several times a day as well. They ask for my husband and as a wife seeing warwick hotel come up on your caller ID it makes me very paranoid about cheating/etc.... I think that they are very trashy and worse that they play on the fears of married women being very cagey about why they are calling and the fact that it comes from a hotel number as well and they do nothing to clarify that issue leading you to believe that it is confidential and they cannot disclose anything without speaking to him first. Shame on them! I am disabled and feel low enough about myself to have them add this into the equation. I don't know how to stop them from doing it except to ignore the calls and know that it is a scam which is what I have chosen to do. I did not give them any identifying information or anything other than an ear full of my disgust towards them!
This person keeps calling requesting information via an automatic message. It has become very annoying.
They called me this morning and asked for me by my maiden name which I haven't used for over 12 years. It was a recording and I chose the "wrong number option." The caller I.D. said Warwick Hotel, Seattle. This caller is likely from a debt scavenging company trying to collect on "zombie" debt or other types of non-collectable debt. These types of companies purchase large amounts of very old debt for less than a penny on the dollar. Then they try any tactic they can to get the consumer to pay- lots of people are frightened or annoyed into paying...so there's big money to be made! Know your rights about this! Here are some very goog tips to help you: http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/debt-scavengers-zombie-debt-32240.html
Talked with a real person who said it was Conversion Outreach. Never heard of the man they asked for!
Get several calls a week and never a message left. I finally decided to call the number back and a automated message came on, instructing me to hold for the next available person. Absolutely no company identifier.
P.S. Me ..Monette again to add that the call was being recorded by them.
Also, plan on investigating and reporting to attorney general in Washington state. I hope all whom are contacted by them will do the same.
I answered a call from this number. 206-777-1969 I was asked to hold by automated voice representative to hold for the next available rep.
When she came on, "Shantel" I was asked for my address and last 4 of my S.S. number., when I asked what it was in regards to and who she represented I was told it was Household Arbor, but she couldn't give me an address....? And then she hung up.
When I called back I I stated these things to the person that answered and was transferred back to Shantel and we went through basically the same conversation with the exception of her telling me I hung up on her after I didn't supply the information she asked for.
This call came from the Warwick Hotel in Seattle, as that's what appeared on my TV. My carrier is Comcast.
According to Caller ID they are calling from a motel room and say they are some "associates" representing some other business for the Bank of Marin. So this Monica Green wants me to give her my address and my last four of my social security number.
I told her I don't know who she is and that I have never heard of her, o her associates or the Bank of Marin also that I would never give out personal information to someone calling from a motel room as given from my caller ID. Monica Green says she doesn't know what the caller ID says and I told her she's lying and I responded that it's because the call is being recorded that's she is lying about calling from the Warwick Hotel-S.
I then told her not to call me again or I will use a few choice words she won't like.
I also told her if she is a collection agency to go ahead and file a small claims action and I will see her and the judge in court and hung up on her.
Now I will go online and block her number with my phone company.
Yeah, they are constantly callin my land line.
Also known as West Asset Management according to the BBB and as best I could find out they are not legally licensed in Washington State under the name Galaxy Asset Purchasing so why are they using a Seattle number. I had the pleasure if telling them to shove it up their a***. They are trying to collect for a loan I never had anything to do with. They think harassment is effective, but for me it just pisses me off.
This is Galaxy Asset Purchasing. A bill collector. They do the same to me.
A automated message with british accent says her name is Kelly B Smith looking for someone who does not live here. Does not say what it is regarding, but I think it is a debt collector. Gave 4 options and number 4 was to say wrong number.
Received call looking for a family member. I don't know how they received my home phone number. Recorded message was woman with a British accent. Caller ID indicate call was from the Warwick Hotel in Seattle.
answered the call and they identified themselves as LVNV Funding, a junk debt collector. Do not give them any info! They are a huge scam!
called my cell but left no message, caller ID said 'seattle WA'
Calls my cell phone 2x a day. Reject the call each time.
The best way to deal with these types of calls is to act as though you thought they were the phone sex people. ladies would ask how big the man is ,gentleman would ask other pertinent questions. This gets results.
Interesting. I picked up the incoming call and got the lady's voice saying they had an important call for me. Yeah right. I hung up. After checking in here, I thought I'd call back and got the hold message. After about two minutes of being on hold, the line disconnected.
The incoming caller, a computer voice, announced herself as Kelly Something. I forgot the last name. It also mentioned my name, but butchered the pronunciation.
multiple calls...British accent...no info as to who is calling or for what
I am reporting this number as a nuisance caller, and would like them blocked from calling ALL of us!!!
They call consistently and never leave a message!
me too! i dont bother to answer those who leave no message.
For sure, a scam of some kind. If you can block this number, do it.
Got two calls today, didn't answer the first and they didn't leave a voicemail. Second call, I answered, got a recording with a British-sounding woman speaking asking to speak with me. I chose the option to report the number as incorrect. Reverse phone lookups indicate this is Emergency Locksmith out of Seattle. When I called back just now, there is just a recording to wait for the next available representative. Either it's a scammer or a debt collector.
this number calls several times a day and leaves no message
