wells fargo message -- 836 9631--- asking to reactivate account---- no action

They called at 2:30 am, of course I didn't pick up. Maybe they should call when people might be awake for their stupid scam to work.

Oct. 15 6:30am... didn't leave a message so I googeld the number, this came up.

Same thing Wells Fargo.

Just had a call from this number, it's 11:30pm, missed the call and didn't leave a message. No voicemail. This is very bizarre.

Called at 1 o'clock a.m. on cell. Didn't answer. They have called before with the Wells Fargo claim. I just hung up that time.

Go to your cell phone provider and put this number on your restricted list, that way they can't call you again

use area code 206-836-9631

Also got a call from this number without a area code. I *never* answer calls from numbers I don't know. They didn't leave a message so I added them to my reject list. Friggin assneck scammers

Just got a call from this number.  I didn't answer it because it was odd that there was no area code.  They did not leave a message.

I also got this call this morning at 5am.  Didn't answer.  No area code, just the 7 digit number.  Didn't answer.  No message.

Got a call from 836-9631 at 4:23 am. Didnt answer and no message left.  No area code listed.  I'm on 206 area code

Same as the other posts. I got a call at 11:40pm last night. It was the same wells Fargo message the others mentioned. I was half asleep when I answered and dreamt all night of my credit card being stolen. I'm so glad I found I'm not the only one. Thanks for posting.

Looks like the same thing to me, I got a call from this number as well with no area code. I just didn't answer.

This started out with a call, as was told to me, from DEA about ordering pills online and was Federal offense and would be arrested immediately UNLESS I chose a number of other ways to handle to situation.  The last one, of course, being immediate payment or partial payment of $.  I was so scared and was home alone.  They told me I was being watched in case I chose to flee and my phone was tapped.  They proceeded to put the fear of whatever they could think of into the situation.  I did not think of anything except to get out of it the quickest I could.   So, yes, I fell for the scam and paid $1500, my house payment, which had not been withdrawn from my account yet.  They have continuted to try to contact me ever since, to get what they said I still owe, for monthly payments. I have not answered the phone and am trying to share all the numbers they are using to contact people.  The first number from which I was contacted is:  509-671-9769: from the DEA's office as Sargent, I think that is the title he was using, Mike Thomas with badge number N33419 and was given a case number, and the second number is 202-241-8927 using the name William Rice in Washington DC, and the third was called on my cell phone from this number: 206-836-9631.  PLEASE....THIS IS A SCAM!!!  THE DEA WILL NOT CONTACT YOU ON THE PHONE AND THEY WILL NOT SHOW UP AT YOUR HOME TO SEARCH IT AND ARREST YOU.  AND YOU DO NOT PAY ANYTHING TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY IN ANOTHER COUNTRY.  It all sounds so rediculous after the fact, but I was scared to death while it was going down.

This is totally a scam.  They claim to be Wells Fargo, and that your debit card has been cancelled, then to enter your card number and PIN.  I hung up and called Wells Fargo who confirmed it's a scam.

Received a call from this number, however, without the area code.  No message left.

I got a call too.  Area code didn't show up with the number on the caller ID which was really odd.  They didn't leave message.

Also received a call from this number, recorded message that th card needed to be reactivated.  Funny that they didn't have the car dnumber on file and needed me to provide it - which I did NOT do.

Got a call on my cell at 11:30 last night and on my wife's cell at 3:30 this morning.  It was a recorded message saying they were Wells Fargo and that my credit card was deactivate and if I pressed 1, it would reactivate.  I hung up.  Called Wells Fargo and was told the call did not come from them.
