I received a call today from a person saying his name is Alex Snyder. Said I would be receiving a grant for $8,000. Asked me if I wanted cash or certified check. I choose certified check. To avoid giving them my bank information. I really didn't believe him although I was hoping that this could be true because it would have really been a great blessing for me and my family at this time. I called the 206-855-3175 phone number and the number is no longer in service. Thank God that I did not give him my bank info. If you did give up your bank information. CALL your bank immediately and close that account ASAP!
We must be so aware of the number of scam artists that are wanting to steal from us. They want our banking information so that they can have access to it.

that is what they told me too but they was calling from a unknown number but gave me the 206-855-3175 number to call and then when i finially got throw they said i would have to call back that she had my number which i didn't give it to her which i thought to be odd and they had an old adress for me but they had my new cell number which was odd too. googled the number said it was in Brainbridge island, wa. and the phone was a land line and my cell phone company said it was a telemarketer status phone line. that is a lot of red flags. but the guy said he was from washington DC. but brainbridge Island is up near seattle wa. oppite sides of USA and he too had broken english so couldnt hardly understand him and he gave two numbers

I think this is how the Taliban gets its funding...$300 dollars here....$260 there...$whatever you can afford to support their cause. You'd have to be a number 1, grade A LOSER to fall for this obvious scam. They called us and said the same lines as you read above. Some Ahmed terrorist asks you a few questions and gives you a few numbers, asks you to call his accountant manager (his buddy or uncle) and then he goes back to building IED's and other explosive devices to further the holy war. Btw the number he called us on was masked but the number he wanted us to call to finalize his fraud was (206) 855-3175. Have a great day and support your local charities instead of these organized criminals.

My wife has been on the phone with these people several times today. They didn't ask for any information, aside from her middle initial. The could hardly speak English, and she had to have them repeat themselves several times in each call. They claimed they were real, would ask their supervisor to lower her charge from $260 to "what she can afford", and gave us the site www.usagovgrant.com to check out. They got angry when the word scam came up and threatened to "cancel her once in a lifetime" chance at this $8000 tax free, grant that never gets paid back. Realistically we, like most are having money troubles already, and she's being preyed on by some foreigner with a hard-on for rip-off scams.

These people are sad stories , how can they do this to people , theres lots of people out there that in reality need the money and these people are just playing around with peoples feelings. Smh at them they have no type of sympathy for peoples feelings. Im tired of them calling my phone while im at work home or etc i already know this is a scam so please stop it.

Got a call from a number 62660 that told me to call 206-855-3175 with 2 confirmation numbers to receive a $8000 grant. They got the state I lived in wrong. Definitely a scam. They said they are located in Washington D.C. and are part of the Federal Grant Service.

Got the same call but mine came from Washington, D.C. Same conditions. They called it a survey grant and wanted me to send $310 then the next day I would receive $8,310 back. I checked with Money Gram and they said scam and so did Western Union. If you have to pay money up front to get money its a scam.
