Yeah I feel privileged! They said I had over $9,000 from a government grant and didn't have to pay it back. Then asked what I would spend it on...I said beer and parties!! FOR SURE!!! Gave me a conf # and phone # to call to get the money. They haven't asked for any personal Info YET.....and if they do, bet me I am ready for it. I got a lot of names and addresses to use! Barrack Obama, Joe Biden.... few others too. They said they were out of Washington DC...first time the caller ID popped a BARBADOS CALL for the ID....after that it was unknown name, Unknown number.....I think I feel like a little fun and will call them back and tell them what the Federal Trade Commission thinks of over seas scams......and turn their a***s in!!!!!!! OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Just received a text from this number saying "Michelle, I am going to be in town next for the launch of my new home business. Here is my link:" (then gives a link) and end with "Call me-Lisa". I am not sure who the sender is and will not click on it to find out for sure! I just wonder how they were able to get my first name to personalize it.

They kept calling finally I answer the wanted a bank acct number and routing number so that I could get the $7000 deposited in so I gave them a prepaid visa I got for Xmas that had 3 dollars on it well that was three weeks ago the said it would be 48 hrs still no money lol

Same call from same people. They are trying to find out people credit card #'s. Do not give them your credit card # for the $7000 refund. This is a scam.

Just got off the phone with these idiots, they also called from 888-888-8888, claiming I get $7000 dollars , western union, but I would have to pay $260 dollars. I told them to deduct it from the 7000 and send me the rest, and yes they hung up, this is a scam

got a call from 206 855 3328 saying thay i got a $7000 grant. they had my name and address, the zip was wrong. they gave me a grant comformation # of AFG 02  they wanted me to western union $289

This foreign man called and said I was chosen by the IRS to receive $7000.00. I wouldn't give him any of my personal info so he said I could pick the cash up at a Western Union. He told me to call his Finance Manager tomorrow morning to confirm. The original number came up as 888-888-8888. He gave me a code to use when calling his Finance Manager. CM799.

got a call from a lady who said i won $7000 and gave me the grant id five times all the same..and even called my house phone because i told her my phone was loosing reception...weird

I too received a phone call today informing me that I had won $7000 in grant money.  When asked how would I like to receive the money...I too said Western Union.  The guy told me his name was Ryan Melano and gave me a bogus extension number to reach him.  He also had my address wrong. Whomever this individual is, I pray he is apprehended by the police and dealt with accordingly.

Ok I just had the same call, obviously with my recent layoff FROM THE GOVERNMENT this past year they do not have an update on my credit profile!!!!!!  The most irritating part of the conversation is where they would talk and I could not understand a word they were saying.  First, IF the government has $7000 to give 1500 people, (which I seriously doubt they are giving free money away) lets hire our own people from the US to make these calls.....just an idea!!!!!

I recieved a call from this number at 1000 PST Wed 09212011. I was told I "WON" a U.S. Grant for $7000 dollars...The man's name was "ROBERT THOMPSON Government ID when asked was initially ROB0056 then when I asked to repeat it, it was ROB004566. This was decided that out of 1500 people nation wide I "WON" due to no blemishes on my credit history and no bankruptcys. Although I do not have either, YOU DON'T WIN money from the GOVERNMENT! Especially when they give you an address in Washington D.C. and the phone number is from where I live in WASHINGTON STATE...i.e. From U.S. area code search. (206 WA -8 W Washington state: Seattle and Bainbridge Island (see splits 253, 360, 425; overlay 564). Additionally they had all of my information with the wrong address. I'm positive if this weren't a scam they one would not ask for my financial information and when I told them to p****off they said they would send it to a Western Union...? WTF are you serious? Furthermore the address they provided I haven't lived in, in nearly 4 years! I know for a fact that if this weren't a scam the GOVERNMENT (U.S.) would at least get that right and surely not ask for my Social Security Number...(Things they should already have)... This is a scam! Keep posting so our GOVERNMENT can actually shut these middle easterners down. Not racial but this is the (out of six people I spoke with) dialog was. I know I spent 2 military years there!
