I received a second call from the same individual (Adam) indicating that he was calling from Microsoft Tech Support and that there is a problem with my computer.  First call I hung up.  On the second call I received I asked for more information about the actual message they were seeing.   He rambled off a computer ID and then asked me to check my computer and read the computer ID back to him.  At that point I asked for his name and number to call back.  As expected, I tried to call back and the line is busy.  Appreciated being able to read these posts to confirm my suspicions.

SCAM ALERT!  They want to gain remote access to your computer and will steal all your personal information as well as install spyware, malware and/or ransomeware.  There is no possible way they can know anything about the status of your computer and it is not sending them error messages.  See the warning from Microsoft about these tech support scams:

Have received 3 calls from 206 855 6672 in past 2 days saying there is a reported problem and to allow access to save my computer. Far East accent and I can hear others in the background shouting they
can be of help regarding Windows.

Call wanting access to my computer, very heavy accent.Very Pushy.

Received a call from this number saying that they were from Windows Technical Support and wanting access to my computer. Very heavy accent. Wouldn't give a straight answer to any questions regarding the details of the so-called "error report" they were receiving from my turned off computer.

Mike called me from this number saying he was from Windows and that they noticed I had a problem that they would fix: he wanted me to follow a process giving him a remote access to my Laptop. I told him I was running a Mac and asked for his number. He said he was calling from Canada but there sound quality was terrible and his eastern accent was very strong.   Call display came up "Private" but he gave me this number to call him back.   Sure sounds like a scam.

the name of the agent is "bilz dicosta" he was trying to scam with me yesterday but i was told the international media radio and tv news about this scamm they told me that i am a technican of the windows , so just turn onn your computer i will show it to you the infected files they trying to take my computer access but be ware of this scammers

They call constantly.the name of the agent is adam.  They say my computer is going to crash in a half hour if I don't do what they say.  They say they are from Microsoft and I need to buy a warranty to keep my computer from crashing.  They will not stop calling when they are told not to.  Many times the same people call and the caller ID comes up blank or unknown caller.  They are very rude and are driving us crazy
