They almost got me too. I bought the card and gave them the number and everything. But something told me to look the number up and this popped up. So i instantly called the prepaid card company and told them to cancel the transaction or to just refund my card in general. Luckily they did so now I will be getting back my cash in the mail in 2 weeks. Way better than losing all of it. Be careful everyone!

Patricia, you've been scammed. There are no "Grants". You won't be able to get your money back.
If you had only done some research, you would have been spared the loss of your money & your pride. These scams have been going on now for years. We see them here every day. It' s for people like you that a lot of us devote a lot of our time to help & educate.
Your first red-flag should have been when a pre-paid card was even mentioned. Legitimate concerns NEVER require payment, of ANY kind, via a pre-paid card. EVER! We hear of frauds here every day. "Grants", "Loans", "Winnings" & so called "Debt collectors" wanting money via a pre-paid card(s). In EVERY instance it's a scam attempt. ALWAYS! NO EXCEPTIONS!
You've learned an expensive lesson. Use it to good effect. Alert all you know of these fraudulent activities. If you can save just one person from being defrauded, your loss will at least be made worth something. Save a couple more, the pain of your loss will be eased to the point that you will feel better about yourself & will be proud that your loss has been made worthwhile. Don't be angry at the frauds out there. Get even! Cost them money! Spread the word.
We're sorry for your loss....but.
Live Well.

I was called by the number 2068665215 and was told to get to separate cards at two different places because of the amount difference which totaled $870 and was told it would be returned with my grant amount, nevertheless I never got the grant and I asked for my money back and was told IT takes up to 90 days to refund my money, I've tried to reach them since with no luck! Names Shawn Baker and Cindy Tyler were the so called grant managers!
