I TO RECEIVED A CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE CLAIMING THAT THEY WERE GIVING A $7,000 GRANT, IN THE FIRST PLACE GRANTS ARE NOT GIVEN IN THIS MANNER AND YOU ARE NOT CHARGED TO RECEIVE THEM.

SECONDLY IF YOU GET THIS TYPE OF CALL YOU SHOULD REPORT SUCH TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU THEY CAN BE CONTACTED AT: WWW.BBB.ORG.

I just went through this s***!  Feeling really dumb right now, especially in light of the fact that I usually investigate EVERYTHING. Why I didn't with this I don't know why in the hell I did not this time....MUCH too little too DAMN late.  I am livid.....just livid and wish I could replay the whole darn day and have trusted my better judgement.....ROT in HELL dishonest, lieing decetful people.

this happened to me yesterday-11-20-2011 the first red flag was when i received the call, it was an unknown number. the second red flag was Frances(no last name) from the unknown number had me call another number with a comformation number to receive my 7,000 dollars. last red flag was wanting money of 240.00 to get my 7,000 and then they would give it all back western union within 5 minutes. Here i was in drive thru with my mom and by the time THEY wasted my time on the phone, my food was cold,Ha,Ha. I call my husband, he says tell them to stick it in their ear!!!!! we knew it was a scam.... i feel badly about those who have invested in these scams, can't believe they never get caught! I could'nt do that to anyone!

I GOT A CALL FROM A MAN NAMED JIMMY THIS MORNING STATING THAT HE WAS WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THAT I WAS APPROVED FOR A $7000 GRANT HE THEN TOLD ME TO CALL FIONA AT 206-866-5571 WHEN I CALLED IT RANG LIKE A REGULAR RESIDENTIAL NUMBER WOULD,THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT IT WAS AFFILIATED WITH THE U.S GOVERNMENT,SHE WANTED ME TO GO TO WESTERN UNION AND DEPOSIT 49.00 DOLLARS AND TRANSFER IT TO HER,IF I DID THEN I WOULD RECEIVE THE MONEY THAT WAS "PROMISED"  TO ME, I GOT THE FEELING THAT IT WAS A SCAM BECAUSE EVERYTIME I CALLED IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS THE SAME LADY BUT SHE KEPT CHANGING THE TONE OF HER VOICE AND HER ACCENT.

This same thing happend to me yesterday!! 11/7/11. I also said I wanted cash because I was not about to give them any bank information. Good thing more and more people are getting smart about these things because before I even called back the number they told me to call i googled the number and came to this page. Thank you to everyone for sharing your stories!!! Get the word of this scam out there!! If you have a facebook or my space or twitter put it out there so others do not get sucked into this scam!!!

I just received a call from a private number telling me I won 7000.00 grant from the government.  I caught me off guard because a while ago, I applied for a grant so I thought they chose to give m one.  Once i verified mt information, gave him an account number (fake account number) the guy gave me a number to call which was 206.866.5571.  i had to give the lady an approval code then she said i had to pay 255.00 in wire fees.  when i told her if this was from the government, u dont pay wiring fees, she diconnected the call.  Whatever!!!!  It's FAKE!!!!

I received a call from "unknown" several times, I finally decided to answer it. It was the US Govt (imagine that) and I have been selected to receive a $7000 grant. I was told to call 206-866-5571 and give them an ID code#. But I had to call right away....before I call this number, I googled the 2068665571 and look at what popped up. Glad I didn't get scammed!!! Please don't fall for this and remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!!!

I hate peoplelike this. Luckily I'm not THAT dumb. $7000 for being a good citizen?!? Yeah OKAY! Lol. Total scam, don't lose your money!!!

i got a f****n phone call from these f**gs today too about 7000 f****n dollars .. so i call the f****n number and the b*****d a** bi*** calls me and make a long story short a** holes need to be f****n turned in f****n dumb bi****s!!

I asked for cash as well just in case it was a scam so they wouldn have access to my accounts...what bothered me though was that they new my home addresss.....anywho once i asked for cash they gave me that number to call and no one answered smh

Wow, they almost got me, until family and friends made me see this sounded like a scam. We have to be very careful nowdays.I thank God, I past this test.

I received this call today came through as unknown, which I usually don't answer the guy on the line did have s heavy accent said I was approved for a $7,000 grant. He verified my name and address. Gave me a confirmation number and told me to call his sup with confirmation number. I did tht Shannon answered advised me to go to Western union with $233 to verify my identity and within 15 mins I would have the money. When I Hung up with her I Google the # and see all the post.. if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Smh. The scary part is tht these criminals had my name address and phone #.

I know this is a scam ,and I don't want them calling .

I received a unknown phone call this morning about the same thing.  it was a guy which I could tell he was oriental.  he asked me how i wanted to receive this and I told him Cash.  I then had to call back with the confirmation number.  When I did a lady answered after the 2nd time trying to call and wanted me to go to a western union and put up 240.00 but that I would get it back after the Western Union was approved that I was the correct person.... wow.. I then proceeded to google the phone number and came to this page..

i just got the phone call from anknown caller ID  and he told me that I recieved  $ 7000.00 from the government as a grant that doesn't need to be paid back and he told me to call this #206-866-5571 and give them the code fe301 and when i call they put me on hold for too long.

this number called me today sayin the same thing and her name was "shannon". Thank god i didn't do anything with this. Don't do it!!!!!!!!

SCAM!!!!  A girl named Cathrine Klatt just called my boyfriend from this number saying the exact same thing! I typed their number into google and this website popped up! thank you everyone for the posts! My boyfriend called them back and told them to go f*** themselves! And they answered back "F*** you leave me alone!" Yeah if that was really the "U.S. Government grants department" they wouldn't be saying that....SCAM!

I just got the same phone call from from a Unknown Caller ID. The lady was very pushy telling me to give her an account or card number. I told her to call me back later and she put me on hold after telling me I need to speak to hear manager and give the manager the nubmers. So I just hung up.

The lady had a heavy asian accent and did not know jack s**t about what she was talking about - something for payinig taxes on time, for not having a criminal record and so on. Complete SCAM!!!

If the government would give away free money it would not be to people like me. Especially $7000!!!

after wiering the money i was to receive mone right back in "minutes" and the stole my money all the money i had.

Another lady through the same company callled me the next day no knowing i had already become a VICTEM TRYING TO CAM ME OUT OF AN EVEN LARGER AMOUNT this time i didnt fall for it. She called from 360-637-6806 Please if there is anyone at all that has been a victem due to theese International theeves Please contact me and lets see what we can do to stop them frome trying to destory any one elses life.

I recieved a call about grant money and was told to call the 206 number. called and no one answered so i just left a message. complete scam.

I got an out of area call from a lady saying that I've been granted an award of $7,000. Great, I applied for a NYFA grant in the amount of 7,000 and notification is any day, so I thought this was it. The woman had an Indian accent and then gave me a verification number and a phone number to call, which I did and spoke to someone, with an equal heavy accent, gave her my confirmation number and then got disconnected. She called me back and said I could get my money in cash, because I'm a responsible citizen and pay my bills on time. I realized that was not the NYFA grant and  I told her I wanted a check to prove a paper trail, to which she hung up on me and I haven't heard from her since. It is a scam. I hate people like this who prey on people just trying to get by month to month. How do we stop b*****ds like this? The number on the caller ID is 206-866-5571. They are claiming to be working with the federal governement. Hang up on them, curse them out, call them what you want. People like this are disgusting and I hope they can be stopped.

I just got a phone call like that today and me being at work i wasnt paying attention and gave them my cc number so now i have to close my account out and open up a new one, I feel like a jack a**..lol

This so called company that calls from the US Federal government grant department is ALL scam!!! This lady (named Fiona, Kristi, or Susan "manager; " whichever she feels like telling you) says that you have been selected to recieve $7000.00 from the government as a grant that doesn't need to be paid back.  She says that her company works directly with western union and there is a fee of $199.00 and within 15-20 min you will have your $7000.  Which is completely untrue, that 15-20 min that your waiting for a comformation call from a "higher authority" they are signing over your money to themselves and you will not here from them again.  Try to call the number back after this all went through and there was not one answer and then went to voicemail, then went to busy.... DO NOT DO THIS!!! PLEASE REPORT THIS NUMBER IMMEDIATELY IF YOU RECIEVE IT!! THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!!
