I called the number back and found it curious that there was no ringtone. After about 15 seconds, somebody named "Tom" finally picked up. I explained to him that my telephone number does not belong to a business and asked him to remove it. he promptly agreed and hung up on me (before taking down my telephone number). I was calling from a different phone number, so I knew his caller ID wasn't showing the # that I wanted removed. So, I called back. Got Tom again. This time, I explained that he didn't ask for my telephone number. His reply, "ah, yeah, okay, we'll remove it...CLICK". I had some free time, so I called back again....guess who picked up? Yep, that same a***ole, Tom. This time, I informed him I would be filing an FCC complaint. I knew he didn't care about removing my number. To this, he replied shruggingly with, "uh huh, ok buddy..CLICK".
Hey, it's a slow day at work, so I can play this game all day. Obivously, someone on the other line was spending their time manning the phone. So, why not interrupt their shady little business and keep calling? So...I called again. But this time, I got somebody who sounded like they had a few braincells. This guy seemed compassionate and actually asked for my telephone number. "Hello, this is Josh, at M & M Success, would you like to update your Google listing?". Ah, hah! I got a business name! Josh actually asked for the number I wanted removed. I explained that I had called back several times and was treated rudely by Tom. Then, I requested to have a supervisor call me, but he said they were in a meeting about Tom. Still, he said a manager would call me back. (Uh huh...we'll see about that). I replied back, stating nicely that I'm sure that wouldn't happen, and asked instead if I could have the supervisor's phone number. he seemed shocked that I had asked for his supervisor's contact info, "uh.. uh..we don't really do that". OK, fine, whatever... I guess I'll call back when I don't get a call from your manager...
