Keep calling knew my sons full name said something about SAT's I said have no clue what U R talking about she hung up? Very concerning who they are and how do they know my kids name? Why hang up on me? What did they want?

These people called and KNEW MY NAME! Totally scary. Asked for my parents. Who are these people??

"name unavailable" on caller ID.  No one on other end when I answered.  Tried to call the number back.  There is a recording that says this is a non working number.

They called asking for me and called my son by his name

Got a call from this number on 9/26/2012 and the caller asked to speak to the parent of Robert.  (They called a business phone) I asked, "Robert who?"  The caller made a loud sigh and hung up.

Caller ID says "washington" no clue who this is..... hangs up when i let it go to voicemail

These people called today, asking personally for me. I thought it really was my school calling to give me my "SAT/ACT study material" that they will be sending me. I am a sophomore and will not be taking it this year, and I asked if I pick it up at school or what, the man said, no we mail it to you for a 78 day trial period, but we are working with schools all along (my state). He knew my name, adress, phone number. I knew it was a scam so I asked, if you do work with the school, and you are calling me about this, what school do I go to? He  changed the subject and said, " I dont know what college you want to attend." I said, "No, my high school." He would not answer, he said, "Like I said, we work with many high schools in (my state)" I was furious, I said, "Okay, no I don't want it." he said, "Well fine Eliza, this is your fault. You're going to fail the test!" So I hung up. Real companies wouldn't be so negative if anyone said no. I read these comments and tried calling back, and it wouldn't work. I am so mad!

Hi im claire this just happened to me a few minutes ago they asked for my parents and so i told them they were busy and they hung up. i live in maryland.

Calls, does not leave message

We are in New York and I just received my first call tonight at approximately 20:10.  After reading everyone else's response, I fear this is only the beginning.  I am sure everyone knows but the number is from Washington State.  Can anyone answer if it's always the same number?  Mine was (206) 904-3978.  I am hoping to block this number, put tracking devices on my phone, etc.  When we move out to the area in a few months, I would like to track these people down and ask them what their deal is!!

Has anyone tried to be nasty first?  I had a mind to say very nasty words when answering the next time, I just wonder if this would make them call more?  

This is just stupid....if these people are getting their kicks by freaking us all out, maybe we should just not entertain them any longer.  But I am grateful that everyone posted that this happened to them as well because it really does stop a parent's heart for a minute.

I have been out of high school for almost 10 years, but these creeps keep calling, my parents keep getting all this crap in the mail!  Wtf?

The person from this number called and asked to speak to the parents of Alexia James which is my granddaugther.  I told this person that her mother was not here at the time and before I could ask if they wanted to leave a message, they hung up.  I want to know how did they get my number and my granddaugther's name?  That is scary.

They called and asked to talk to my parents I said why and they just hung up. This has been going on for months and I'm tired of it

I've been getting these calls too. I wonder if the answer they are looking for is to talk to the students without the parent around, so they can fish for information. I am on high alert. I am also going to block this number.

They called me and asked for my parents, I was very confused because they called me by my full name, I said they weren't here so he hung up. The next day the same number called they asked to speak to my parents again calling me by my full name. I screamed into the phone "HOW FO YOU KNOW MY NAME!?!? WHO ARE YOU! YOU CALL AGAIN AND IM COMING FOR YOU!" they haven't called me since... But then again I just did this like 10 minutes ago.

im 13(almost 14) getting calls from a idiot.. asking me for my parents, told him they were sleeping, told me to wake them up... i said f*** yo!

This number has been calling almost every day, but does not leave a msg.   I finally picked up the phone.  The guy on the other end claimed to be from the SAT/ACT providing study material, and knew my daughter's name.   When I asked how he got her name,  he was rude, and hung up.   I tried calling back, but the number was invalid.

Hmmmmm... I feel a SCAMBAIT coming for someone...

spoke to person today...they are trying to sell study guides for the SAT & ACT.
Guy was a real A$$.  When I said it wasn't any of his business what my daughter got on the tests.

I just received a call from this number asking if my parents were home but they only referred to me by my first name. I asked who was calling and they just hung up. I cannot call back nor can I trace the call. WEIRD STUFF!

Received call asking to speak to parents of (children's names) -- I asked why?  He asked are you the parent of (?) -- I asked where calling from?  why calling?  how get name?  Man became argumentative and told me he asked the question first and I had to answer first, and he had a job to do when I pushed back and asked him to disclose reason for call and identity.  He finally hung up.

this just happened to my daughter! he knew her name and then asked her how old she was and what room she was in! this is really creepy.

My daughter has recieved the same phone calls that everyone else has. I'am a P.I. and sll I can say, is that they've really messed up this time. They call my daughters cell phone, and ask for the parents of her- we get on the phone, and they hang up. This has happened more than once... actually, we are going on the 4th week that that it has happend, so we will get them when they call back. If you don't mind me asking... what state's has this happend in? We are in Utah. I will get to the bottom of this, and find out what is really going on. I will post again, and please check back regularily for an update from me. And if there is anyone in law enforcement that can help me track this individual down, I would greatly appreciate it. My daughter says it is the sane kid everytime. If there is anyone out there that has any information, please contact me through here, and I will reply with my email address.

They keep calling me and only one can i speak to the parents of cheyann Nope and they hung up who the hell is it its pissing me off

This guy is so annoying! He's been calling once every few weeks! He asked me for Sarah, so I said, "Yes, this is Sarah..." and then he asked if my parents were home. I said yes, and he got really quiet and just hung up. I don't know what the deal is with these people, but it has to stop!

I received a call while my parents were out, and a woman asked for my mom or dad- and named me by name. I told her they were unavailable, she said she'd call back later, and then hung up. After reading these posts, I'll be sure to inform the woman that I'm not interested in participating in a scam.

Got a phone call at my Mom's house looking for my the Parents of "My Daughter's Name"??  When we tried to call them back it said it was a non-working #.  My daughter is 11??
