Yes, this is Amazon customer service. I requested the call back. Caller id said "Washington Call". Not saying "Amazon" is kind of stupid. But they resolving the problem (my mistake) quick and easy.

It WAS Amazon and the customer service agent who handled my problem was VERY HELPFUL! He took care of my issue quickly and to my satisfaction. I LOVE Amazon.com! They are fair and try their best to keep their customers happy.

It's a telemarketer - who was trying to talk my company into forming a "partnership with Amazon" in the "next 5-7 days"
Sounds like a scam to me.

it is amazon.com customer service

As many have said, it is Amazon.com, and usually one only gets this call if they request amazon to call them. Now I accidentally put in the wrong phone number in the field, and this is how many people who get a call out of the blue probably get a call.

Did not call requesting a "return call." Received this call at 11:48 p.m. Really?! Amazon calls people at almost midnight??? Highly doubtful. Do NOT call again!

This is NOT amazon. Many people are buying stuff from Amazon at this time of year so their call appears like it's not a coincidence. But this is not Amazon's customer service number on their web site. This is a creepy spammer using a number that looks legit and if you call them they have what sounds like a legit phone tree BUT the people you talk to sound really sketchy and they only ask you for info and do not have any ability to solve any problem you have with Amazon. Block these scammers and hope Amazon uses their immense resources to find and prosecute these people as quickly as possible.

This number called my home at 12:30. They left a VMM, but it was hold music, and then a customer service representative answered, as if I had called them. A couple minutes later, they called again, and I picked it up. Again, I got a customer service representative. He said that he had a pop up window, indicating that I had left a request with amazon to call me about some sort of product problem. I had not called amazon or left any recent complaints -- I am an amazon customer, and use them a lot, but I had not recently made any complaints.
Maybe someone mis-typed their phone number.

They call from a person needing help with a problem, My number is legit, so if you got a call, because calling back is wrong. Said their number was 206-922-7910, Weird, reality something.

It is from Amazon Customer Service - returning a requested call.

I got a call from this number but they didn't leave a voicemail. I had talked to Amazon earlier today. When I called the number, I got a recording saying it was Amazon customer service. So I waited to talk to a customer svc agent while listening to funky music. Then they wanted to know my email addy and home addy. I didn't give the home addy. If they want to talk to me, why not leave a message? It's strange and I don't trust this kind of call.

Very nice Amazon customer service that calls you back.
ljmoore 2011-12-12 14:21:16 Unknown
Thank you. That explains it.
ljmoore 2011-12-12 14:19:17 Unknown
why do these people keep calling?
Anon 2011-12-01 20:25:22 Unknown
Don't worry about it, sometimes people make a mistake and put in a typo in the "call me" phone number on amazon and then wonder why nobody called them. If it's persistent you can contact amazon and let them know about this and they can take care of the issue for you. If you want the contact information scroll back up to see Sof's link

this is a requested call from a person needing help with a problem from amazon. this number is legit, not a prank call. if you got a call from them its probably because somebody typed their number in the request number call back wrong.

Amazon.com customer service --if you use their website to schedule a call from customer service (they don't list their number), they'll call you from a number like this.
Juan T 2011-06-06 20:42:21 Unknown
This number comes back to Amazon.com customer service
Cindy 2011-05-09 03:32:47 Unknown
Got a phone call from this number at 10:30 p.m. saying it was Amazon. Answered it and computer said it was transferring me to a customer representative. Listen to music for awhile and then hung up because I did not know of any reason they would be calling me. They again called me back immediately and I let it go to voice mail..just let the message of being transferred to a customer service rep and the music playing in the background....no customer service rep answered.

Got a call from this number today. Very strange. Directed the call to my voice mail to listen later. Apparently, it was Amazon, but the message left seemed as if I originated the call. Heard on hold music before someone came on asking for an email address. Don't give out any personal information, especially if you didn't originate the call.

Sof 2011-01-01 01:52:42 Unknown
Same as Bryan. It's the number that Amazon calls you from when you setup a callback request through their website. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/call-me.html
Peggy 2010-12-31 21:56:40 Unknown
it's amazon.com returning a call from customer service-- NOT spam!
Bryan 2010-12-30 21:51:00 Unknown
This number called me when I set up a support call from Amazon.com about an order.
