I have received several calls about extending my auto warranty (which I don't even have), I pressed "1" and the guy asked me if I wanted to extend my auto warranty, when I told him that I was tired of these calls and wanted to speak to someone about getting them stopped, he hung up on me!!

I have also received several calls about lower interest rates on the credit card that I don't have...and tried the same thing to speak to a representative with no luck!!

I don't know the name of the company or the # because I don't have caller ID anymore, but I wish someone could make these people stop calling!!

I get these calls from the 44 number. Credit Card rate offering. While I'm registered on the DNC, the 44 from UK seems to be exempt. When someone mentioned VOIP, it could have been routed cheaply.

Your private listing and/or (it seems) cell phone are no proof against sequential dialers. It's just the next number.

Never give out any numbers without getting names and addresses 1st.

I've recieved several calls from these guys, I've only been able to speak with someone twice, like everyone else, by pressing '1'. The first time I tried to ask for the operator's name and phone number and was promptly hung up on. This time, around 545p (EDT), I asked the operator for the name of their company. This time, they said 'Mr Smith, get a pen and a piece of paper and hold on', then a few seconds of silence, then the line was dead. I have a Skype phone so no one, outside my work and family have this number. For all the times this company has called, it shows up as'unknown number'. First off, both of my cars are at least 10 years old, and I never had a warranty. The other problem was that with this past time they called, they used the name 'Mr. Smith', which is not my name. Any one have ideas on this company

Got em!  This is awesome. They called again on my husband's cell phone, this time regarding the car warranty. He pushed 1 to speak to someone. When they started talking, he blew a party air horn into the phone. The guy started screaming and hung up. You can get one at a party supply store for $7. Worth the investment!  Maybe now they will stop calling. LOL!

Got a phone call from 442074920983. Wasn't asking about a car warranty, but wanted to know if we wanted a better interest rate on our credit card. When we called back, a guy answered and when we asked who they were, they hung up. I am so sick or this foreign scam crap!

To those who ask how you get rid of these pests-- you report them to the federal government who takes these reports seriously.  They once fined AT&T millions of dollars for violating the do-not-list laws.  Penalties are real.  Report the b*****ds!

Never pick up when this number comes up on caller ID.  But have never seen a  "4" at the beginning of a number.  Figure its just a sales person or something.  They never leave a message.  We are on the DNC list.

I've received what seems to be a MILLION of these calls from the car warranty people, so I dialed "1" to speak with a representative.  I was immediately patched through to a rep and so I asked him, "What do I have to do to get you guys to stop calling me?"  Well, he replied by saying, "Buy a warranty!" and then immediately hung up.  These people are obvious scammers and can go to hell for the damage they are doing to vulnerable people that don't see it.

i have been receiving these messages, although i can't confirm it since i don't have caller id, and can only assume the other hang-up calls were them as well.

the first time i answered they said my warranty was about to expire and wanted me to tell them my vehicle make/model/year. i said if you know it's about to expire (it's well past that) then why don't you tell me what it is. he couldn't, but did say that the cut off for the offer was vehicles over 6 years old. i tried to opt-out through the automated option the second time. they repeated my number back and that was that.

today i received another call and answered. the guy was pretty cocky and arrogant, i asked why they kept calling me, etc. and he kept repeating over and over "why wouldn't you want to extend your warranty?" every time i tried to say anything, so finally i had to get loud and say i want to opt-out! he said "then why did you press one? that means you're interested in a warranty." i said "no, i just thought that by talking to an idiot like yourself it may make a difference, but obviously not." he then switch me over to a recording telling me to sign up for the DNC list online, but i'm already on the list.

then a while ago i received another call, the guy who left a message sounded uncannily much like the guy i spoke with earlier, and proceeded to say something to the effect of: "you know if weren't for people calling you spineless it would be true." unfortunately i cannot connect him to the earlier call nor this number, but the resemblance is not coincidental in my opinion.

at work, we get calls saying the same thing. " your car warranty is about to expire, please press 1 to talk to a representative or 2 to hang up." Since I work for a large company, I usually hang up because they didn't say who they were calling for (we have 4500 employees) I usually just hang up. Since it's at my work, we don't have caller id, so I can't see the number, but the messages are all the same. they come in the afternoon time usually (hawaii standard time) and have been coming more frequently than before.

This is a total scam because it called my unlisted line which the only place i made a mistake and used it on was to registar a domain thru.
this is how they got my private business line.

they said my warrant on car was up HA! that was clearly scam because i DONT HAVE CAR, Drivers license OR VEHICLE or any type neither does my husband.
we are too darn poor we use WEBTV that'll tell ya how we get by LOL.

I received a call from this number: 44-207-427-5764 (hypens added) and picked up the call, and received an automated message from some company offering extended warranty coverage.  At the end of the recording, it gave an option of opting out of future calls (press "9") which I did, with the recording informing me they would "take (me) off their call list".
I am on the National Do Not Call List, and wonder if this company has found a loophole by providing the opt-out option with their automated calls.
