It IS Hillsdale.  Not solliciting donations.  Just thanking for previous support, announcing upcoming events and hoping for continued support.  The gentleman says the 2012 elections are important.  Class act.

I belive this is a scam. Hillsdale college would never ask for donations over the phone.

I don't think it's Hillsdale College... They are in Michigan and area code is 517.
They have a branch in Washington DC but are code is not 207.
Hillsdale College is a very serious college founded in 1844.

We have been receiving calls from this number and when I return the call this number is not in service??????

We found this number on our caller ID at 10:12 A.M. during a time we were away and our home was broken into and property stolen.  The number left no message.  Hillsdale College is in Michigan, this area code is for the state of Maine. It could be that Hillsdale has a Maine based form making fund raising calls and I did not check that out. Hillsdale College is a reputable institution.  We do receive their publication Imprimus, as well as fund raising mailings.

My 16yr old & I have been receiving calls from this pain in the a%#... Please let us know who this is.

Called at 1106am - I picked up  and got silence!

Hillsdale college is NOT liberal. They are one of the few conservative colleges around. You may have inadvertently got on a list as this call is a fund drive.

This number called my phone with no identification as to who it is and left no message. I see this number has been calling lots of other people too. It needs to stop.

This IS NOT Hillsdale College, insurance sales or any else EXCEPT Portfolio Recovery with another caller I>D> that is fraudulent.  They absolutely ignore the law and continue to get away with it.

This number comes as "message on my caller ID but no message is left.  I do not answer calls from anyone I don't know.  Too many scam artists out there and don't want to deal with it.

i recieeved a call from them and i'm at a 915 area code. got a call before from them from a different 207-493-xxxx number. its some kind of marketing robocall outfit from portland maine that does it for different companies. last time it was for verizon.

received call today and I called back, however the line is busy.  I figured it's one of those marketing calls where they call you and put you on hold.  So much for "this is Peggy, how can I help you"!!!

Got a call today, never from them before. Didn't answer, of course.  If it is indeed a liberal college, then I don't think I'd pass their recruitment requirements anyway...Maybe I'll answer next time and talk about how I think we should bomb all the muslims and drill for oil everywhere-to see if they still want me.

I am getting these anooying hangs up from this number and have reported this organization to the FCC. Diabetic Group is not an organization I am involved in or care to be involved in. STOP calling!!!

Totally NOT any college. They called me (707) number asking via recording if I want a cable/phone package. And to press 1 to talk to an associate or 7 to be removed. I was skeptical of either so I didn't press anything.

I live in long beach i have received calls from this number at least 2x a day for the last 2 weeks. It is getting annoying and I would like to know how to stop it.

Long Beach also - 4 calls in the past 4 days - It must be an automated system - my message system says "message" for the caller ID - not very helpful

I have received three missed calls on my unlisted cell phone from these guys in the past few days.  I have never been to Maine or anywhere on the East coast, nor do I have friends, colleagues, or family there.  Like many others, I also live in Long Beach, CA.  However, my cell phone number has a Northern California area code and is registered with the NorCal branch of AT&T.  The only thing I can think is that either our numbers were sold or stolen from a business in Long Beach.  I'm trying to think hard about what mailing list I would have signed up for.  For all you Long Beach people out there, do you live in or near the East Arts Village?

This Number keeps calling my phone and I want it to stop ASAP!

I live in LB but have a 310 #, on the do not call list.  I've received at least 2 of these calls a day for a week.  Just a thought - anyone else sign up for the Long Beach 911 reverse call program (LB sends out a mass text in case of emergency) that was recently featured in an article in one of the local papers (can't remember which one)?  Because I did and the timing seems to coincide.
