And that's why I used the word "allegedly". None of these guys are on the up-and-up. The best we can do is report them to the FCC. Maybe something will happen...or maybe not.

They're not about customer relations. They're about collecting information and selling it. They couldn't care less if they've inconvenienced you, they're scammers.

It's not a survey and it's certainly not a giveaway. They want to get your NAME so they can use it to scam you or sell it to other scammers.
That's why nobody is there after you go through the whole thing and give your name.
I go through the whole thing (giving wrong answers) when I have time, just to waste their time.
I just realized typing this - I will create a fake name that I use for these, and will see what comes to me in the mail or in phone calls with the fake name.
Pressing the number that removes you from the list NEVER WORKS.

They have called me from this number a week or two ago. This time, they called at 12:45pm on a Monday. I have received calls from several VERY similar phone numbers, all said "Caribou, ME":

My answering machine was turned off. When you call the number back, they give you a prompt to press 1 if you no longer want to receive their special promotions. The EXACT same voice with the EXACT same message was heard when I called a Sydney, MT number back... 406-478-2356 ...which was allegedly from Senior Diabetes Network.

I call from a work cell because I don't have long distance...so the prompt doesn't help me get my apartment number off their list. Pressing 1 allegedly removes the number you are calling FROM.

Same story as everyone else's, comes up as "Service Message". I pressed the number to be taken off their list and it makes no difference, they call here at work about every other day.  I started logging it, don't know why except it's interesting to see how stupidly persistent they are.

This number keeps calling and I am on the do not call list, someone must be selling the cell phone numbers to these people.  Be careful who you give your cell number too,

They have our office fax number by mistake.  So far I have nearly a ream of Fax Confirmation Reports sitting on my desk.  Finally caught the number calling in yesterday.  Called and selected 1 to be taken off their calling list.  Problem is they're calling the fax number and I doubt that will be registered since I obviously had to call from the land line.  Would like their name and address to at least write to them since they don't seem to be "real" people.  Will have to add the fax number to the Do Not Call list and hope that will eventually stop them.  Good luck to all!

Got the call offering two free tickets on a cruise to Bahamas.  After answering several very simple questions, it was time to get my tickets.  After giving them my name, they said they were going to transfer me, and hung up!

Why is the phone company not blocking and canceling the phone service of this blatant criminal?

Our company receives calls on a regular basis from this number. It is very disruptive to our busy switchboard and our business.

Got a call earlier this morning. Showed as Caribou on the caller ID. Picked the phone. They were asking for a "shelby". I said it is the wrong #. Then he said maybe she goes by the name "Betty". I said you have the wrong # sir, and hung up.

Later today I called that number myself, and the first thing was an option #1 to be placed on the "Do not call list for any of their promotions",..... so I chose 1. Not sure if it will work. I suggest you try doing that....who knows maybe it will work!

I get a call from this number on my cell phone literally 2-3 times a week. I ignore it every time. So glad I found this site and I can keep ignoring - just wish they would stop calling...

Received one pre-recorded call and then immediately after a hang up call. Filed an FCC complaint report.

I am getting sick of this company. They call our main line at work minimum of 5 times a day. I have received over 50 calls in the last week alone. It shows up on called ID as "Service Message". I called back and there is an option to have calls stop if you press 1. I just did it...we'll see what happens.

This number called me at work.  The number comes up "Service Message" on the caller id.  They didn't leave a message.  This was the second call.  They even called this past weekend.  Wish they would stop.

They keep calling me, I even got a real person once and ask them to stop calling. I was told that they would stop calling for a 95 cents. and it could be billed to my phone.

I get a call almost every day from this number with the ID "Caribou, Maine".  I am also on the DNC list.
