Same as previous complaints above against this company, InStyler: I phoned them about the product after seeing it advertised on TV for $14.99.  Turned out the product was a bait-and-switch deal; they stated there would be several more billings totaling ten times that amount.  I declined, and ever since, their telemarketing voice-mail message has been plaguing me twice a day.  I phoned them several times, requesting to be removed from their phone list.  They said I would be removed from it within 48 hours, each time I called.  Now, nearly a month later, I am STILL receiving these calls; they are apparently doing nothing to stop it.

They called me several times stating that payment of my credit card did not go through.  Huh was my reply.  I never ordered it.  So if its on my credit report so what, no payment for no product.  I called also to ask questions not ot order.  But they say I ordered it.  Nope I did not.  They can kiss my butt.  After me hitting I think *69 the calls stopped.

I HEARD AN ADVERTISEMENT OVER THE RADIO ABOUT "SMOKE ASSIST", FREE SMOKELESS CIGARETTES TO HELP YOU STOP SMOKING...TURNS OUT THERE'S A $75.00 PAYMENT REQUIRED FOR CARTRIAGES. NOW I AM RECEIVING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER ON A DAILY BASIS. I TOLD THE REPRESENTATIVE THAT THE ADVERTISEMENT DOES NOT MENTION ANY PAYMENT FOR ANYTHING AND THAT I WAS NOT INTERESTED. AS MENTIONED BEFORE, I RECEIVE CALLS DAILY.

Yup, the same thing is happening to me.  I called about the "Smoke Assist" and now I'm receiving call from this number.  What a bunch of crap..I even called them "Private" with no number and I'm still receiving these harassing phone calls.  I'm going to tell them when they do call again or call them myself that...I am recording this phone call and ask for the operators name or employee number and possibly their supervisor and tell them that I am keeping record of every phone call to turn over to my attorney for a harassment lawsuit.  Hopefully this works.  We shall see.

I was driving down the road, heard a commercial for electronic cigarette for free, yeah right,,but I called to listen to the pitch.That is when they mail you a months supply of the filters for all differant prices starting at 40.00,,but the 1st month is free, you pay shipping & handling fee of 9.95..Of course it never ends. Then today this number came on my cell. Of course I did not answer. ,,,,I did hang up on the guy yesterday.

I too called about the smoke assist and have been receiving calls from this number ever since.  The smoke assist was a hoax as well - get a free device but you must purchase their cartridges for $79....what a joke.

I called about the "smoke assist" yesterday, now I'm getting phone calls from 207-618-1431.  I never gave anything to them other than my first name. The same thing happened to me when I phoned about the "in-styler" 2-3 calls a day.

I got a call from this number, and I think it's because I called for a free offer of SmokeAssist, so be careful with that offer as well.  When they started telling me they were going to charge me 69 dollars a month for filter refills, I told them I had to discuss that much of a charge with my husband and tried to back out.  Thankfully, my phone died before I had to listen to too much crap.

Kept getting hang up calls from this number.I finally got someone to answer my return call.They were selling a male enhancement drug and I asked to be removed from their list and he said it would be done.Never a message on the hang ups.

They keep calling saying my husband has ordered a male-enhancement product.  They say they're going to send some free product if it hasn't shown up.  My husband never has or does he ever intend to order any product of the kind.  When I ask them questions, they avoid me or hang up on me.

Didn't answer. Don't want them calling me. Look the number up and saw it was not someone or something I'm interested in. Have called my number several times.

I called to inquire about the price after I saw the Instyler commercial.  I told them I didn't want the product after I found out the 3 "easy payments" of $39.99 after the $14.99 trial was up.  Now I have been receiving calls from this number 3-4 times a day.  They don't leave a voice mail and I don't want their product.

Ugh, I wish I had known this before I called for information about the product!  They call and ther eis never anyone on the other end. >:o

Instyler!! It makes sense now. I called the other day to inquire and when I found out how much they wanted for it, I told them nevermind. The rep continued on about a buy 1 get one free, but nothing is free.
It's sad they keep the information. Like another lady said, I wasn't on the phone more than 60 seconds....why did they keep my info?

Well this site has finally solved my mystery.  When I googled 207-618-1431, I found this.  My calls began after I called in response to an infomercial for the INSTYLER.  Same thing, the offer was for $14.99 (but just as a trial)  After the trial, they wanted something like 3 payments of $30 or $40, so I said no thank-you and ended the call.  Now, several times a day, I get these phone calls on my cell phone and they never leave a message.  These harrassing phone calls are driving me crazy!

I called and talked to the same woman 3 times. I have been getting calls asking for my YOUNGER SISTERS and I immediately say no, and hang up. They call back within 2 seconds to ask for my other sister, I again say no, and hang up. After reading what is on here, I called the number, got pushed to a rep, put on my "P'OED" voice, and sternly told her to take my number off her list. They have not called back yet, but I'm waiting for it. Next time they call, I will say I have a lawyer, and tell them that it is illegal to bombard MINORS to buy a stupid product that won't work, and see what they do. I'll keep y'all posted.

Called late Sunday from my cell phone to get the details on the Instyler.  They normally call while I am at work, 2 or 3 times a day, and I get "missed call" alerts.  Make it stop!!!!!

I had the same problem as you did. I called the 800 number just to inquire about the instyler where the rep was trying every trick you could think of to get me to take the trial. For one, taking their trial offer would have me paying more than if I were to just buy it without the trial. I had no choice but to hang up becuase she would not let me go. Within the same day I had been getting phone calls from the 207 number, I'm talking 8-12 times per day. It had been two months since I called about the Instyler and I just couldn't take it anymore and actually DID something about it:

1: I called the actual number and was directed to a rep for some stupid advertisement. I told them that I wanted off their calling list and they informed me that I would be taken off within 24-48 hours. This obviously didn't happen and I purposely waited a full month to have them take me off. Within that month, I called 4 times and they still hadn't taken me off. But that's okey because:

2: I have a record of all the times I called them on my phone bill.

3: I took it to a lawyer and got a FREE consultation. Lawyers typically give free consultations and during that I was told that I could file a lawsuit and that the company would also have to provide a phone recordig of my conversaiosn with the rep claiming that I wanted to recieve no more calls. The phone bill helps because it shows proof that I was making atempts to stop the calls.

4: I called the number back and told them what the lawyer told me, and ever since then the calls HAVE STOPPED!!

You don't have to go as far as I did. I wanted to seriously sue these people for messing with my privacy so I went to the lawyer. But all you have to do is tell them that it's illegal to bombard you with phone calls or even have your number without your consent and that you can sue them for it. IT WORKED FOR ME and IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO BE BOTHERING YOU LIKE THIS!!! So pick that phone and tell 'em about it! Be firm when you're talking to them and tell them you can sue. Trust me, you wont be getting calls from them anymore.

I calld Instyler at 1-800-477-7261 a wk ago and was inquiring about their product when I was told that it was $135.00 I told the nice lady that's okay b/c I thought it was $14.99 she tried offering me a free trip some where but I declined now today I have received 6 calls from 1-207-618-1431 not on my home phone but on my cell that's the phone I used to call them so they must have caller ID..........

I bought the instyler for my mother.  It caught her hair, pulled some of it out, made a huge mess with her hair.  She experienced severe pain, and can not understand how such a dangerous device is sold without warnings.  This product can hurt you.   Avoid it - plus its very expensive.  Almost $135!US.

I also called to inquire about the price of the instyler. And have rec'd many calls from this number!

This same thing happened to us.  We called on the instyler and we are getting the same thing.  Our initial phone call was just to inquire, we were not interested at all.  We were not on the phone for more that two min.

I also called to inquire about that hair straightener the other day and have since gotten a phone call on my caller ID from this Maine phone number.  And I never left them my full name or number when I called them.  I hung up after the woman answered and I gave her only my first name and then mmediately said "Nevermind" because at the same time my husband found on the internet how expensive this item was.  So why is this company collecting and calling back phone numbers?
