I received a call from this number on my office phone on Saturday. In tracking it down, it comes from a Gerald Morin, RR 26 (Smith Street), West Paris ME. Obviously this gentleman needs to get a real job.

207-674-2609 is no longer in service.
Whoever the warranty guy is, he is using a spoofing service so Caller ID will show the number 207-674-2609.
Unfortunately, this is not that easy as just going to the police...If you want to annoy him back, yes him to death and follow through with everything until he asks for a credit card # and make one up :)

I have been getting calls from this number for some time now. I have T-mobile, and do not answer numbers I don't recognize. When they call repeatedly, I look them up on line, and so have been to this site numerous times. I love it! I am so glad that everyone pitches in to let others know who the scammers are. Thank you guys so much!

I too got this call three times already. I just hope my phone carrier don't charge me. Which I definitely know that will be the case. I think WE ALL should report this kind of nonsense to what ever authority handles this kind of garbage. enought said.

Google Maps shows the place where the calls are coming from.

Got same call -- on car warranty -- I have got this call at least 10 times, always from different numbers
Concerned 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
WOW! Are people really that stupid? America, what a country!!
I got the pitch 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
Ok...The guy on the phone asked Name, Address, Zip, Make/Model yr miles on vehicle and offered 5 yrs of "mechanical breakdown" coverage for $3,144 which he would gladly break down into 16 payments of $188 with $395 down. They do not accept call backs and I cannot get a brochure unless I set up the down payment which is refundable if I do not wish to take the coverage.
I smell a rat...

I tried to call this number back and they seem to be smart. Evidently they must have re-recorded or recorded the real recorded message for saying a phone number is out of service so that if anyone calls they would think it's too high-tech of a scam to pursue. But thats not going to work if someone calls the police department and was to give them an anonymous tip about a murder or kidnapping or 6 Trask Road in West Paris Maine being a drug manufacturing den. Look out Gerald Morin and Donna Freeman. LOL

unknown 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
Why don't we all call Gerald Morin and see how he likes it? We have the number....
kima2865 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
Get this caller once a week it. Car warranty nonsense. I do not answer it any more. If you try to call back it rings a fast busy signal. Very annoying.
Me too 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
I got one too, with a male voice saying my factory warranty is expired. No kidding. My vehicle is 12 years old! When I first googled the number, it listed someone's name in Maine. Gerald Morin. Could someone else be using his line?
Kevin 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
I got it today and i was just curious who it was because i missed the call so i googled it and found this site... Apparently this number calls a lot of people. 207 is the area code for Maine and i dont know anyone from there.

This number has been calling my cell at night and waking up my baby. Is there anyway to block it?
Lavenderfields 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
received called from 207.674.2609 and 620.435.6608 alternatively for several months. i have an unlisted/unpublished phone number and am on a 'no call list' which means the only way anyone can obtain my number is by purchasing public records from the court house for use in scams and ID theft. the call is automated regarding an auto warranty. Fla. does not have call block anymore, therefore i have no recourse other than to continue receiving the calls and no recourse through fraudwatch (FBI) unless i'm scammed out of money or ID theft. the idiots calling me have gone as far as sending me something through the mail regarding this so-called warranty as well. for those of you in similar circumstances, you can do what i'm doing and activate a 'call trace' through your phone service which, in Fla, involves filing a police report following such a phone call, then following simple directions required by your phone company to ensure the call is traced through their system and documentation of the call is provided to you and/or the PD. unfortunately, it's the only way that FBI will pursue these people. they are literally spending hundreds of $$ to obtain personal records in order to solicit you for idenifying information for ID theft. a simple call to the local police department and a faxed report to the police department from your phone company verifying the traced call will activate an investigation and shut such scammers down. state victim crime compensation will compensate you for any expenses paid out for your time and effort in this BECAUSE a police report was initiated (it is therefore now documented as a crime). good luck and sorry to be so long-winded.

This number has called me alot & I am getting very sick of them calling me. They never leave a message.. I just want it STOP!
unlisted 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
Getting these all the time during the day/evening on cell and have been for months. I've going to be up most of the night so I'm going to return the favor all night long alternating between my 3 phones. Last time I did this, it was a debt collector looking for an old owner of my phone # and he got so infuriated with me...he was screaming at me to never call his house again...I thought the guy was going to vapor lock on the phone...it was great!!
Sick of Tele-sales POS 2011-06-06 20:42:24 Unknown
