Called me this morning

They called me.

If you are showing the number correctly as +44 20 etc then it originates in the UK, possibly around the Finsbury Park area of London.

Do you expect UK callers to have access to a US list?       If so, tell us now how we can stop calls originating from the US reaching the UK.      We are sick of "Congratulations......you have"

207-226-1300 has been reported to the US Gov do not call list for further investigation.

I also got a call this morning on my cell phone and entered the prompts to speak to someone about a do not call list. When this "Grace" answered the phone I simply asked if they knew my name or even the region I live. She instantly got short with me and said if I didn't want to talk about the "free home security system" I shouldn't have pushed 1. I simply said I was just curious, and nicely asked to be put on the do not call list, and she refused! She said she doesn't do nice things for rude people who call and yell at her! First off, I was not raising my voice, annoyed yes. I asked to speak with someone in charge she refused. I asked her employee number, she refused. So I said I'd turn the company in for harassment if she didn't take my number off the list and she said "oooo who you going to call". I sugest anyone else who is treated like that also turn them in to the attorney gen in their state. I work in sales as well people, I know how it goes. But that was absolutely unacceptable behavior.

Know no one in Maine. Have done no business with anyone in Maine. Caller only says "if you wish to be placed onteh do not call list" etc

I also just recieved a call today about a home alarm service. I tried to toy with him for a while suggesting that I was interested (even though I don't own a home), but could not get anything out of him. When I inquired as to how they got my unregistered cell phone number the man was rather rude when telling me that first, the got it from someone else and second, that there was nobody there that could give that info. What a suprise.
This is the second time I have recieve such a call. The other was about lowering my interest rate. If you have the means, I would suggest spending some time with them and trying to find out some more information about these guys.

Called me at work, with a recorded message "For Homeowners" that they thought was valuable and it said to "press 1" so I pressed every button I have - several times - & lost them...

This call came into my cell phone.  NOBODY has my cell phone number except for family, close friends and those who might need it for an emergency (starting to wonder about this one).  I was unavailable when the call came in so I found it as a "missed call".  They are lucky that I wasn't available to answer, as I am not very nice to "businesses" who call my cell phone.

...meant to add that it was the same message, likely the same company, as the APP CONSUMER SRV call from 920-560-4996. Who regulates telecom anymore? Surely there are regulations covering marketing blasts and war dialing ? Gee, deregulation was a great idea!

Received call, everything rings the same as other Alarm Calls. This one was "Home" something or another, I was too pissed after callign ADT and being told they were familiar witht he contractors and had my number placed on do not call. AS far as them getting office calls, this is an internal line which has never been published also. Unfortunately they just war dial through entire blocks of numbers as I'ms ure they get paid for calls made ...

They called today. Called the number back and all it says is "Thanks for calling. If you would like to be placed on our do not call list press 1 now" then hangs up.

Called me today, July 7 at 9:10 on my cell pone.

I got a call from this number several times a while ago.  Some junk about lower your interest rate with this credit card.  I hung up on the recording and programmed "credit card ad" on my phone.  So what are they selling, home security or credit card?

Automated sales pitch for home loans in my area.  They call me regularly.  According to comments here I may be able to play their game long enough to get my number off the call list, next time.

they call offer home protection from Maine.  I reside in MS.  I have been unsuccessful at contacting them to have them place me on the do not call list.  They just hang-up.

Told girl that I was on do not call list.  Said that I had answered my phone so I must have wanted to hear about it.  Then she laughed.  Not funny.

Rec'd a telemarketer call from this number on 7/2 and I called it back and selected the option to remove from their call list.  They said I would be removed within 24 hours.  Not so.  I just got another call to my cell phone today. So choosing to have them not call you DOES NOT WORK.  

They did not give a name of a company on the recording (clue #1 they are likely a shady company).  Just a recorded message that says: "We are calling about something very important to your neighborhood...press 1 to hear more."  If you just hold it hangs up.  If you call it back to talk to someone and tell them to stop calling then they hang up on you.

Second time I got this call, and decided to GOOGLE it... this is what I found.

Got the call, stay with them, order the product and give them fake address.  Let them have fun trying to find you!

They just keep calling.  Best to just "ignore" the call.

They are calling cell phones used by Seattle city government.  I pressed the code to get to an operator to "sign up for the alarm service", asked what the name of the company is, and she hung up on me.

207 is a State of Maine number, this goes back to tellemarketing, so for all of us that are hidding from bill collectores, relax just a telemarketer, but you can lable it in your phone as such so it wont fool or worry you next time.
