This same number also replies to classified ads that do not list the phone number as though they are interested  and they ask you to call them at this number so they can collect your phone number for fraudulent use.

Definitely scammers!!

There seems to be a computer that is calling numbers using people's private phone numbers.  It is disturbing as I keep getting calls from all over the country saying that I have called them when we don't have long distance on our phone.  I have blocked those calls with my phone company.  This must be happening to you...complain to the phone company and hopefully this will stop.

Got a call from them a few min ago, put that # on my Reject list.

I got the number 207-993-2642 call at 3:11 PM on Dec/02/10. = unknown.

This number called my cell phone, saying they have a present for me

This is some sort of Spanish scam where they tell you you've won money and you're transferred to a live operator.

I have been receiving phone calls from this number for months now. This is becoming inconsiderate and annoying.

I called them from another phone and got the message this number is no longer in service.  Then I used my cell to call back on missed call.  It was some advertisement for discount long distance.  It asked me to press * and # when making a call.
It would be nice if we all blocked it - if possible.

Automated spanish nonsense - no idea what the call was for. Busy signal on callback attempt. After doing a little extra research, appears to be a scam. Google the phone number and review some of the other complaints.

I got a call from this #207-993-2642 in ME on 11/29/10. I didn't answer it and did not try to call it back. I'm glad I didn't bother seeing all these complaints here. I live in Michigan.

I always get calls from this number but I will never answer this number due to all the previous comments.

I got a call from this number and another (920-221-9889) on my cell phone.  Both numbers have very similar posts on this site (a Spanish recording).  I suspect they are switching out their phone number to try get around people blocking their number.

Irecieved a call from this number on November 22, I always do a reverse lookup, thanks for the post, I am going to report this number to the State Attorney Generals Office in Oklahoma.

I receive several calls from what I assume was this number; because, it always appeared as jargon on my ID.  However, the man I spoke with was of latin descent and actually went thru a series of attempts to ensure I had his correct number and name which he stated was Gregory.
What I did find quite perturbing and perplexing, was that he called my last name repeatedly. Yet the area code researched as Maine and  tiny part of Quebec, neither of which, do I have any association.

Mexican is type of food, not a language.

Spanish is the primary language spoken by people who are from Mexico. An American is someone who is from North America or South America, not just USA.  I am assuming that you mean you are from the United States.

Just got this call..didn pick up bc I was busy.called back and got a busy signal

I speak spanish and these people call me in english and say i was caller # 10 and i won a prize and told me to press #1, i had a friend he did it and got charges on his phone bill over 3000 dollars, then 2 days later they call on spanish and said the same thing but instead said in my daughter phone she was caller #2 and to press 5,,, these is a scam and i am in VA
