I am self employed working really hard. The last thing I need on my ONE day off, and the ONE time I fall into bed exhausted for a 15 minute nap on  a Sunday, is to get a call from Bernett Research Services for a survey.  The first call came in when I was on a business call, clicking in repeatedly and making it hard for me to speak to my client.  When I was through with my business call, I called back the number.  I listened to the long drawn out pitch about taking the survey, and left the required message to please not call.  No less than 1 hour later, they called again.  Tomorrow I call the state in which they operate, and the FTC.  I don't care if they are not "soliciting" it is a disguise to package calls as "surveys", utter b***s***, and one I know of well from experiencing first hand companies that try to usurp the DNC laws by this method.  Or, perhaps I will figure out a way to reverse the process- and I will put them on an auto dialer.  This will be infinitely fun, and if I get one more call , I will!

These people call all the time.

Just answered call from this number and they hung up (rude). Apparently they only want to talk to females. Guessing its Romney driving for female voters.

Haven't done anything yet since they haven't called again... We will see!!!

I'm not too sure.. My fiance is trying to figure that out right now. I think he's going to leave a message so the president of the company will call him back. I'll be sure to come back here to tell people, I know I hate when people don't come back to tell what happened. :)

That's exactly what I was thinking... I'm really scared not knowing what I said to the guy. I know I was talking super soft, but who knows what I said... Yikes!!!!

They called me last night at 10:20 p.m. I was sleeping and apparently I was "sleep talking" to them. I literally woke up on the phone. No recollection of them calling in the first place. I know that a guy was talking to me, but I hung up as soon as I woke up. I was so freaking mad that they called so late! We've tried calling them in the morning and tonight and no answer, plus the mailbox is full. I can't wait for them to call again so I can rip them a new one! Jerks.

Repeated phone calls every ten minutes.  Never leaves message on answering machine.

Calls started coming in a week ago.  Caller never leaves a message nor say anything when I pick up.  Very annoying!  Something should be done about this!

Calls from this number come after 9PM. Name Unknown. I don't answer. They don't leave a message.

Called 2 nights in a row around 8pm, I don't answer and they do not leave messages.

This number belongs to Burnett Research in Pocatello Idaho. Probably a phone survey or telemarketer.

CALLED ME AND HUNG UP SO I CALLED BACK AND IT SAID MAILBOX WAS FULL

I used to work for them.  They can call as often as every 40 minutes until you answer and
a.) listen to the ENTIRE introduction, then decline
b.) ask to be put on the do not call list

Even crazy scary responses won't get you off their calling cycle.  And hanging up is considered as "unable to contact" under the assumption that if you were able to hear the entire introduction, you'd change your mind and want to do the survey!  How I survived that place is beyond me.
