Beware criminal!! Called my home claiming to be collecting donations for VFW. When I asked him to mail me info, he said it was illegal to mail info without making a pledge. I told him I check out legitimacy of solicitors before I donate. He immediately hung up.

got a call from this # this morning, i had gotten an suspicious email regarding my microsoft account and thought it was not real then the next morning {today} got a call from a call center where the guy was clearly indian. Trying to tell me they have been sending warning emails saying my system has been corrupted and he needed me to be at the computer so he could walk me through how to "Fix" it before my system crashes...it was all too suspicious so i blew him off and told him i didn't have access to my computer and he needed to call back. I'm sure he will but in the mean time I called microsoft they gave me info to report it and I was right, they are total scam. { not to mention it came from a random email address that was hotmail LOL}  Microsoft will never contact you about your system, they don't know what is going on on our computer...208-272-9989 that's the number it came from.

I got a call from this number in my work office, for my boss.  The minute they were told he wasn't available, they said "We'll call back" and hung up.

I called the number back, and got a pleasant message stating they were from the Idaho State Police Fundraising Associationgroup and they would be calling back regarding what fundraising they are working on.

It also mentioned that we were welcome to call their customer service line at 800-350-2289.

I get calls from this number a few times a week as well. As soon as I answer, they hang up. I do not understand ????????

I keep getting calls from 208-272-9027 - listed as "Unknown." They either don't talk and hang up, or they will rudely ask for a person, and when I say they are not here, they say "ok" and hang up. Rude.

i googled this # and ended up here.  

I always ask any organization who is collecting money for any cause (police, fire, etc.): "what percentage of your proceeds go to the actual organization you are supporting?" Usually i get a hang up or a rude answer. Seldom do they call me back...

Caller asked for my wife. Hung up on me when I said she was at lunch. redial the # which says no longer in service. This # is tied to the American Assoc. of State Troopers, a fund raiser NOT CONNECTED with the Idaho Sate Police. I went to the 1-800 # to opt out.

These guys are out of controll!!!This seems to happen once or twice a year, I get calls from these guys asking for $$$$ donations for the state police department. I called the Idaho state police and they said its not them!! Then I asked them if they could do something about it(4 to 5 phone calls a day with the guy on the phone acting like your long lost friends but when I say I wont donate he becomes very rude with smart --- remarks), she said that there is nothing they can do about it!!!!!! One time I got madd and told the guy to get a life and hung up on him and then he started calling me a bunch of times in a row.. They seem to like it when you get madd, Im sure they laugh about it with each other on smoke breaks!!

This is a number for the American Assoc. of State Troopers-Idaho. They are fund raising.
If you call the their 1-800 number (1-800-463-4720)  you can opt out of receiving further call from their number.

Call came in while I was in the bath, when answering machine came on just a loud static sound, no message left.  *69 call, and this # came up so I goggled it.

I have been getting calls asking for my husband from this # for a month or better, on my cell phone. When I tell them he is not here they hang up. My husband was deployed last week. I got one more call this morning and they asked for him. "I got mad and said this is my cell phone not his and he has been deployed He left last week." The guy on the other end said "okay mam I will take your # off the list you do not need to yell at me. I am from the state's police officer funding." I really do not think the police would be so vauge and not talk to me when they called the first one hundred times. Seems fishy to me.

i called number back ...it is Idaho State Trooper donation center...they are looking for donations. but are very rude not saying what they are calling about.

I have recieved several calls at my work for me when they dont call me personal #...they dont leave a message or a name or a number to contact them back...  I dont like it but i dont know what to do.

I have received 2 calls in 2 days from this number.  They did not leave a message.  I am always suspicious when someone calls a business and does not leave a message.

The number called and started this big monologue about a police banquet that he needed money for.  he talked like I had already committed to donating...  once I told him that I wasn't the head of the household he interrupted my explanation, and quickly said he'd call back and hung up.  It was rather rude...

Thank you for the 800 number to opt out of future calls from ISP's donation center.  I called it and opted out.

Called and didn't leave a message

Said he was from the Idaho State Police Association but had a southern accent. Wanted money. Told him no thank you twice and he thanked me & hung up. Yes he could be from down south and has moved to Idaho but I doubt it.

We got a call for the American Association of State Troopers. 315-679-4603. I said I would donate if they were indeed legitimate. I was passed to someone to affirm my donation when I said I would send it out once I had verified their legitimacy with the NY State Attorneys office he hung up.

Maybe next time answer by saying " Idaho State Troopers..How Can I Help You? " then see what happens.. :)     yet that may be impersonating in a way. Would be interesting though to hear what the wouldbe might say.

Calls and asks for owner. Says he's calling for state troopers regarding donations for missing children. I didn't give him the owner but asked him to mail information to us so we could mail a donation. He then asked for our credit card number which I obviously didn't give! These guys are rude and I think this is a scam! Beware!

Who ever this is, they keep calling our business 2 - 3 times a day over the last 2 weeks.  They hang up as soon as I answer.  I called back and got an automated recording for the Idaho State Troopers fund raising organization.  I wasn't given the opportunity to talk to a real person, the recording just hung up on me.  Their customer information center's number is 800-463-4720.  They gave me instructions to opt-out of their call listing.

Caller has called numerous times over the last few weeks. Every time they call and i answer there is only silence on the other end. I would also like to file a formal complaint with the FCC and everything.

Caller asked for the owner of the business. When asked for a name or a message, caller refused and stated they would call back. Very brusque. Probably fishing or soliciting.

Third time I have recieved a call in 2 days.   Everytime I answer they hang up immediately.   Wish they would stop calling so I could complete my work.  It is irritating to have this happen over and over again.

He is soliciting on cell phones.  this is not legal.
